Have you seen the trailer for season three of TBB? If so, what are your thoughts and are you going to watch it while it airs or after it is all complete?

My main thoughts are ‘please for the love of god PLEASE let me have a happy ending do NOT make me sad at the end there is no point to that let them live off peacefully on a farm PLEASE’ but those have been my thoughts since I first saw the Bad Batch in season 7 of the Clone Wars XD

And as I did with the other seasons, I will probably watch them as they come out! (or at least try to ahahah might be a day or two late but I’ll try my best!)

hey just to clear something up: it’s okay to want notes on your fics or your art or gifsets or character analyses or whatever you’ve put your time into and shared. it’s okay to want people to acknowledge your hard work, and if you post it on this site the only way you actually know people are enjoying it is if they interact with it. that doesn’t make you greedy or whatever. you can write/draw/etc something for yourself and also be upset if doesn’t do as well as you thought it would. i see so many people say, “I know I shouldn’t care about notes…” and that’s just not fair to yourself. this is a social media site. you’re not wrong for wanting the social part of it.

like u REALLY just love to make stuff,

I want you to know something.

this is very, very important

• you do not need to make something every day to still be an artist, it's okay to relax and enjoy things other people have made

• even if you don't finish your projects, they are still valuable

• big number on social media is the most painful thing to pursue and it relies heavily on luck and does not determine your worth

• you need to make art that isn't up to your artistic standards before you'll have the skills to create art you can be truly proud of

• drink some water. it's not related to being an artist but I know you're dehydrated.

I mean this in the kindest way possible, but if you want to draw OCs/do a lot of original work, you must accept that most people are not going to care about them. Like, at all. This is not a negative thing and is in fact the normal way of the world. If you want people to care about your stuff, you have to MAKE them care!

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

I dont get to draw much anymore because im drained and either busy with work or obligations or resting so ive really gotten rusty and whenever i post i am genuinely embarassed because i feel like my drawing looks dogshite and boring but even so people leave really nice comments about how seeing it made them feel happy so i feel like it was worth posting anyway even if im not happy with it so idk. Even if u think your drawing isnt where you want it to be u should post your art anyway because someone will get a kick out of seeing it

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"

And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.

Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?

It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!
