This continues to crack me up. I thought I’d let them get a little ahead of me and then call them back, so I could get a video of happy dogs pelting towards me. It…did not go as planned.
A dull, grey day in mid-April of 2013, but Barney was having a wonderful time, out on the hill. He was a dog who was full of wild, joyful energy, he lived to run free & play... Nevertheless, whenever Barney noticed me sitting down on the grass for a rest, he'd merrily bound over to me & sit at my side, or on my lap, to keep me company. Dear dog.
nobody is doing it like harrowhark nonagesimus. she ran a planet alone from the age of ten. she memorized a 10000 page fanfic out of pure repetition. she lobotomized herself to command f and replace every instance of her gfs name. her favourite food is gruel. she constructed an entire time bubble in death to provide backstory for her lobotomy. she hallucinated coffee au fanfiction.
If I ask nicely will people reblog this and tell me what their most common breakfast is? Not your favorite necessarily, just what you have for breakfast most frequently? 🙏🏽
US anomalies that make sense: New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and to a lesser degree California are being dragged lower by their large dense cities, where space is at a premium. Nearly all of New York state would be in line with the ~2000 sq ft "normal", you'd just have to cut off NYC. Couple states out West trend bigger - well, there's a lot of space out there, not a lot of people, so why not? West Virginia, Missouri, Arkansas stand out from their neighbors a bit, and those are because of poverty.
I do not know what Iowa is doing.
I was surprised to see the UK is so much lower than its nearest neighbors! Maybe I shouldn't be, but I figured y'all would be more similar.
We have since played a session and a half. My accent is atrocious.
Their name is Wurmhulde & they come from a town called Mühlstadt, which is just "mill town". Their cousin Wurmgang got them both jobs in the mill, fixing things with their clever fingers & generally keeping the place running while the humans barely notice. These two are the first of their family of kobolds to leave their home in the dark forest, but it's only temporary. Wurmhulde turned out to be a bard with a jawharp (gonna get a concertina when I can afford one), but Wurmgang back at home is learning artificery, so he also exists and may appear in a game later on.
One evening a strong breeze blew a pamphlet up against Wurmhulde's feet, as if they were meant to find it. The advertisement for a tavern tour led them to an unassuming door, which led not to the inside of an ordinary building in town, but to another place entirely...
I think I'm finally gonna get to use the character concept I'd saved these images for. Kobold in a Hawai'ian shirt, might have a gun. Might be an artificer.
DM said not to do too much character sheet details, but come to the session 0 able to answer the question "So, where are you from?" Campaign is an interdimensional tavern crawl, so we can be from p much anywhere. Anywhere in any existing D&D world, an original realm, another fantasy world, anything, but you have to come ready to talk about it. I googled kobolds to read a little about the race, but forgot to specify and got German folklore instead, so I thought lol, what if I'm just from real world Germany?
Anyway I now have pages of notes on the fairy-tale-dark-forest-meets-industrial-revolution world I'm from. For all I know it'll never come up again after we get into the game.
Idk why i'm getting so many followers bc somebody else made a funny reference on a meme I stole, but hello, welcome! Behave.
Also if y'all keep it going with the notes on that just a couple thousand more, we can make it so my most popular post ever is no longer me being stupid about something & getting roundly, educationally corrected. That'd be nice.
i'm conducting an experiment. everyone who's from an english speaking country state your country, regional area and what you call the following images. i need to see something
Having an argument in the server. I need to prove I am not insane for putting sliced sandwich bread/white bread/loaf whatever do u call this 🍞 in the freezer.
It's important to have piles of stuff, so that when you need something, it's there, in a pile. Otherwise you have to go buy things, and that's just not efficient.
the thing about having to fill a huge raised bed is that i realize i have SO much random stuff here and there to fill the bed with lol like i've got random piles of bark leftover from my previous homeowners firewood pile. i've got my topsoil pile that i accumulated from all the holes i ever dug on the property. i've got my garden cleanup pile. i've got my pile of old potting soil. anyway. the point is, if you've got even a tiny sliver of property you can have just so many piles of stuff.
