I am making this post on a bit of a whim, but I do know that I’m not going to be so active on Tumblr in the future. I’m a full time college student and I’m looking to get into pharmacy school in the next few years. I can tell it’s going to be a lot, so I’d like to say this sooner than later.

I am incredibly thankful for the community that I’ve found over the years on here. You’ve gotten me through a lot of hard times and good times— and helped me in ways that I can’t begin to describe. And I mourn for all those who I have lost contact with or those who have deactivated their blogs. I love you all, wherever you are, and if you would ever like to speak to me again, I’d be overjoyed.

I’ll check on here (my main blog) every now and then, but I’m not going to be as active as I’ve been in the past. I’m going to reblog this to my sideblogs (especially my older roleplay blogs that I sort of abandoned).

It had been ages since Magnus had been out and about, so to speak— so it was quite an oddity that the first person he interacted with would be… a version of himself. Quite the oddity, indeed.

If anyone could understand this Magnus’ upset, it would most definitely be another Magnus though. Perhaps Ultra Magnus’ return was timely then. No matter how peculiar a situation it was, if he could help a version of himself escape a shred of mockery, then it was worth it to tear himself away from his work.

Ultra Magnus didn’t have much of a response to the joke— only a partially amused huff.

“Yes. This lot of mecha can be difficult to control, especially when they single out one person to be the butt of their jokes,” he sighed.

“I offer you my condolences, my counterpart. I know how humiliating it is to be caught in the middle of antics of this sort…”

Finally! Someone who understood his plight! Magnus was quick to make his way over to the other enforcer, relieved grin resting on his faceplates just before he spoke.

“I couldn’t have said it better myself. Wait, I guess you technically are myself, so maybe I could say it.”

Another small attempt at a joke, but Magnus this time around seemed to find it genuinely funny. It was nice having his counterpart around!

“This crew is filled with ruffians that can be so hard to control, don’t you think?”

🖤 - What's something that will instantly make them dismiss someone as a romantic partner

There are QUITE a few things that would make Magnus dismiss someone as a potential partner. Magnus does hold grudges, and he holds them for a good amount of time. He doesn’t like to forget what people do to him.

Some specific things that would dissuade Magnus from getting involved with someone include:

Repeated, malevolent mocking of him

Someone completely ignoring him or his advice/words

(Perhaps surprisingly—) Putting protocol before morality and safety.

🍓 - Do dates matter to them? Do they often put a big focus on anniversaries, partners birthdays, Valentines day etc?

1). Dates matter a LOT to him, yes! Even outside of a romantic context, Minimus values keeping track of days and times of importance— so in a romantic context, the emphasis is even greater.

Anniversaries would be the most important dates, in a romantic context— since I don’t think birthdays are the biggest deal for Cybertronians, and as much as Minimus knows Earth, he isn’t the most familiar with all its holidays.

2). Ohh, Minimus would love something quiet and calm. Perhaps a dinner date or a walk outdoors. He would greatly prefer a date where he would be alone with his partner, as he tends to get quite shy about publicly displaying affection.

Also— planning is a big thing. No matter how great a date idea sounds to him, it would sound even better if it were planned in advance. :P

3). Minimus doesn’t have a specific type, but he definitely is attracted to mecha who larger than he is — which isn’t too difficult to achieve, given that he is a minibot — and he’s attracted to strength—!

The large mech in fact did not come very much closer. He only took a few steps towards the berth to cross his arms and look down at this strange one with a raised optics ridge.

“You’re an organic being — I don’t believe you even need to use a recharge station to sleep,” he replied, perplexed to see them standing on a berth of all the improper things to stand on. “What is it you want?”

Magnus had been going on about something — he was recapping a recent report on the chaotic happenings on Lost Light. Well, more likely that not, ‘recapping’ was an inaccurate word for what he was doing — both because the chaos on this vessel never let up and because Magnus could be one to get caught in the details of an event.

So perhaps the hand on his shoulder was necessary to get a moment to breathe, or at least just to process it.

“Ah,” he cleared his vocalizer once, “Yes?”

🌸 : I do like thinking about how in the Primal Vanguard, it was definitely commonplace for many mechs to take a different look at their gender / expression of gender. The Primal Vanguard dealt a lot with the diplomacy and protections of organic and other mechanical races — so of course they were exposed to new ways of presentation that were much different than the universal ‘Cybertronian equivalent of he/him.’

I like to think that Minimus came to respect that, a lot, during his time in the Vanguard. And I also like to think that a few of the Magnus Armor Bearers, who came from the Vangaurd, were trans as well (Suture and Ramp).

Ah, the exploration of gender and expression. It had been a commonplace in the Primal Vanguard, from his experience — it was hard to process that had been so long ago.
