Hey fam! I'm loving your artwork. Is there somewhere I could get some context on your characters? I'm a new follower and I'd like to get a better idea of the story (unless you don't have it put together yet, that's cool too).

I have a blog here that gives the lowdown, with a plot description and stuff as well but basically theyre from a book (probably will end up as a web serial cause its Long) I’m currently writing called Young Man’s Game (YMG)

I have the first draft kinda put up, tho not fully finished, for people who want to be alpha readers but tbh I’m getting closer to draft 2 and if you’re interested I’d probably wait until then since I’m changing the plot a lot and I think my writing has Hugely improved in the meantime. draft one was just word vomiting and I put it up as an incentive to keep writing

I have actually been recovering fairly speedily compared to the norm but it's still a slog so thank you everyone for the support <3

the thing is the swelling sticks around for a While (like…months) so it might be a hot second before my face settles into its new normal, but when it does I will

I do look a bit chaddier already but I want to wait until less puffy before posting so its a real before/after and not just a before/kinda-after

so you’ll have to be patient, sry :(

I actually got this surgery for sleep apnea and it’s been rather hard to tell how much its affected that since ive been sleeping a Lot post surgery (turns out rearranging your skull like a rubiks cube makes you sleepy for a while after, who woulda known) so fingers crossed once i heal more it will help with that cause I was tired All The Time before. But for now I can tell the amount of air getting to my lungs each breath is Much better

So hows the chad surgery?

miserable lol

surgery itself went fine but the recovery is a Bitch and a half

not much pain but my entire head is swollen, I can neither fully close nor remotely open my mouth and I’m stuck on a fully liquid diet 😭 (I cant even use straws, I’m stuck with syringing in food like for a rescued baby bird or smth)

first week is supposed to be the worst tho by far so hopefully it’ll be better ish soon

I’m thinking of making mila more gnc/butch in the next draft(s) so I tried drawing her and failed to realize the ‘looking like a younger boy’ problem would be so much worse for her…

you GOTTA show us the x-rays

unfortunately they look normal to everyone except doctors :(

basically the problem is my airway is like...too small and I have some fucked up sinuses or smth idk but basically it apparently looks like I have had some sort of neck injury which is why my airway is so fucked, but to everyone else (me included) the x-rays look like normal head x-rays
