life update:

i'm obsessed with deep space 9 now (i'm in early season 2, don't spoil anything!) -- also watching tos and tng at the same time, a little here, a little there

i stopped drawing digitally for about nine months and switched to almost exclusively drawing with markers/pens on paper. this was because art had become really frustrating and unfulfilling for me, and it remained that way for a lot of the time i spent experimenting with traditional. time helped though and i rediscovered the fun. the experiment ended up being really good for me -- i am a lot happier with art now, both the experience of making it and the results, and i'm having a great time getting back into digital

the garf x aisha crossover occurred to me because i'm a member of a neoclone (a playable petsite based on the mid-2000s neopets experience, using all the original assets and web design and stuff, with some quality of life upgrades) that lets u give your pets custom overlays. i exclusively own aishas, due to an obsession that began in my youth. so i decided to make a custom overlay for a garfield aisha

i tried to draw hourly comics today because i've wanted to participate in hourly comics day for a long time but always forget until it's over and in doing so i discovered that it is so boring

#text #how do you guys do this. how does anyone who draws like those daily-life diary comics that get big on instagram do that #thumbnailing was fine cuz it took like 20 seconds per comic and i had fun with most of the sketches but then suddenly i was like #this sucks. #if i have to draw myself doing tasks again i will cut my right hand off.
