Someone once told me that I was being “defensive” at work, after they had blindsided me for the umpteenth time. I had to pause and catch myself because at that moment, I wanted to lose all of the professionalism that I had. I simply stated “I'm not being defensive. I'm being assertive with what we discussed previously.” meaning I'm speaking confidently and you're not going to BS me again. Thank you therapy for the verbiage 😅💜.

I swear, it is so exhausting when having to work with narrow-minded people who think that you are beneath them.

Slight Vent….

I try my best to be a kind person. I would like to think that if I did wrong someone in any way, shape, or form and I am unaware that I have wronged you, I would hope that you as an adult would approach me talk to me about it. Not throw shade or temper tantrums. I’m too old for that 💩 and don’t have the capacity for that 💩 in my life right now, ESPECIALLY now. I refuse to kiss anyone’s ass about their anger towards me with something that I am unaware that I even did/ didn’t do.

So in the mean time, I will continue to live my life as peaceful as I can, while you choke on the anger that you are harboring. ✌🏾

I always side-eyed the whole “DEI Wave” because it was all only after the senseless murders of black people that made national news. Corporations, schools, etc now all of a sudden “care” about diversity, equity, and inclusion. 🤔 Now here we are in another election year and these positions and initiatives are being cut left and right. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I got this camcorder for my mom for Christmas my junior year of high school… 🎄🎁

I almost got in so much trouble for getting this, because I had dipped into my savings that was in her room, so that I could put it on layaway (showing my age 😄). When she noticed my money was low and asked me what happened to half of my money, I told her that I spent it on food 😅. She was so disappointed 🤦🏾‍♀️. When Christmas came and I gave it to her and told her that was where my money really went, she apologized. 🤣❤️

She had been talking about getting a camcorder FOREVER. I had to give her the push to finally get one. 😄🌺🥰
