Recurring Dream Character - "Ayda"

Name: Ayda First Met: September 15th, 2022 Last spotted: October 23rd, 2023 Lore: Ayda is a living painting - supposedly created by me - though her painting was already nearly complete when I stumbled upon it. After putting my last brushstroke upon the canvas, Ayda stepped out from behind the canvas and stretched, as though she had been waiting there the whole time.

Ayda is always depicted with a headscarf, and dresses in scintillating colors, which seem to shift and change every time you look at her. She rarely ever speaks - and if she does so, it is barely above a whisper. Despite this, Ayda is unshakeable in the face of danger. While her life has been threatened on multiple occasions, she regards her enemies with nothing more than a stern or disappointed glance.

Ayda seems to be able to use paintings and other works of art as a form of teleportation, and walks through worlds as easily as one would step through doors. I decided to call her "Ayda", meaning "returning visitor".

The Cat With Human Eyes Last Spotted: 2013 (Undated)

I found a partial tabby outside, which was meowing and begging to be let inside. I picked the cat up and carried it to my room, and placed it on my bed. My other two cats immediately began hissing and trying to attack it, so I put them outside my room and locked the door.

I petted the cat and spoke to them gently, and that's when I realized the cat had human eyes. The cat smiled, and spoke in the voice of a woman, and said she was very grateful. She then wandered out of the room, vanishing through a wall.

Dream Character - "Wire Nation"

"A cord which holds an electric current. An entire nation of people, condensed down into a Wire. ...Isn't that obvious?"

First Met: August 11th, 2009

Wire Nation is particularly notable as being one of my first female proxies, as well as being one of the earliest people on record to have introduced herself with her "True Name". That is, a name which was given within the dream itself, as opposed to a nickname which I give them after waking.

When someone asked her what her name was was supposed to mean, she responded with the quote above.

Sarcastic and witty, Wire is probably most recognizable by her flashy outfits, sharp tongue, and exceptional height - her long legs and heeled boots leaving her at least a head taller than even most other men in the room. She is skilled in both bladed weapons and hand-to-hand combat, and often likes to disarm her opponents with a smile or a joke, before sweeping their legs out from under them.

Wire loves the thrill of a good fight, which can sometimes result in her taking her taunts and sparring matches a little too far. Afterwards however she apologizes, helps them back to their feet, and usually ends up befriending her former enemies.
