“It’s true,” you sighed dropping your arms to your sides, shoulders trying to relax even though all your muscles felt like you got caught badly. “I was hoping this feeling was gonna go away but as time passed I just couldn’t shake it off anymore. It gripped on me,” you said. “Love sticks. I didn’t know and maybe that is why I stayed here for so long, albeit everything, sticking on you like shoe glue.” Sehun wanted to look away, maybe your eyes wouldn’t shake his core if he didn’t lock his gaze on yours but it was hard when they were so piercing. It wasn’t his first time looking eye to eye, but it was the first time he could truly see you. You had never been so bare before him. “I should’ve told you, shouldn’t I?” you continued, “but how could I come around it and not seem like intruding in your relationship? I’ve always respected Cora, she was always so good to you. And you love her so I could never make it about myself.” It was hard pouring it all out like that, your heart shrank with every word, you wanted to cry but your tears were also having a hard time showing up. After so long of holding back, hiding out, and pretending made breaking down in front of Sehun quite impossible. “If I told you I loved you, would you still want to be my friend? That is so weird because I know I could pull it off but I never believed you could. I don’t think you’d like that. Though here we are, I got caught and I can’t say it is entirely my fault, I was just unfortunate. Now that you know, in this given circumstances, I’m not sure of anything anymore.”

“Please say something” you asked. 

“I need some space,” he answered.

The party was alive and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves creating a perfect contrast with the loner hiding in the corner watching as people took the space of the living room and made it theirs. I was the loner. Looking from afar just as a joyful Jack danced with that one girl he was eyeing all night. I couldn’t help but scoff at the ridiculous smile he had on his lips and the hand he dangerously placed on the very small of her back. 

“You’re pathetic,” I jumped scared of who spoke so close to my ear. I froze in my shoes knowing how real his words were. I didn’t have to turn around to know Sehun had a stupid smile on his lips and his eyes were looking at the same couple I observed. 

“What are you even doing here?” I asked not bothering tearing my eyes off of the dreamy couple. “By this time you should be locked in a bathroom with some chick already.”

Sehun laughed faintly the way he knew I couldn’t bear. One of his hands landed on my hips and although the touch was strange and provocative I needed it to keep me grounded in order not to trip on the nightmare happening in front of me. But Sehun had no business being sweet and supportive, he sure had his own agenda to fulfill. His daring hand got firmer and pulled me a little closer to him touching his chest to my back.

“Will you forget that guy?” he asked his lips very close to my ear. My knees were fragile and almost gave away to the deep sound of his voice. Bastard.

“If you lock me in the bathroom with you?” I laughed leaning back even closer to him resting my head on his shoulder. I could feel Sehun’s eyes looking at my face waiting for a trace of anything. I watched as Jack and his girl danced their way out of the living room and took it somewhere else, somewhere my brain didn’t want to know. And my heart crushed even more but I was standing still, holding up strong pretending to the rest of the party that nothing could faze me.

“I didn’t mean it that way, but if you’re willing to try…” Sehun didn’t quit looking at me and I knew. He snaked his arms around my torso, rested his face in my neck and I could feel his breath fanning over my skin, warm and steady. I closed my eyes and sighed.

“Sleeping with strangers, that’s not how you fix a broken heart.” I closed my eyes and sighed. If I had no self-love, I’d be giving myself away to Sehun and called it a night. But I couldn’t bear his antics, his know-it-all demeanor, his confidence that never seemed to cease. Yet, there he was, breathing on my neck and I didn’t bother telling him he had no business getting so close to me. 

“I wouldn’t call myself a stranger,” he said in a whisper but if it wasn’t for the proximity I wouldn’t be able to listen over the music. I didn’t bother responding because I didn’t have to. Sehun placed a kiss on my neck and released his arms from around me. I turned my head around to find him still standing there but giving off the energy that he was about to leave. He looked back at me, making me feel so small having to tilt my head up to fully see his face. Unlike other times when he messed with me and made my blood boil with his terrible attitude, Sehun had no trace of expression on his face, not even a proud one for what he just did. It shook me to the core not knowing what was going on in his head. He was a blank sheet of paper, there was nothing to read. “I'm gonna take off.”

I miss you

Summer was a little mean to me. I have stopped writing for a while and it really sucks because it wasn’t a deliberate choice, it just happened. I tried coming here and finishing all the things I’ve started, but I simply had no imagination or motivation to do it. I am back to school again and usually this time of the year is very busy but also very creative for me. I hope I can feel the will of writing again sometime soon. I miss being around here so I wanna come back as soon as my brain lets me.
