Gone

Darkness spread across the sky,

Road slippery from rain, it fell not long ago.

My heart is racing, a feeling I cannot let go.

I am running from this land, from the ones who made home feel like an empty house.

A lone wolf howls in forest, and I am afraid

If I'm being honest.

When the screaming wind dances past you,

I wonder would you spare a thought.

Would you look for me or not?

When the sun comes and you open your eyes.

Would you be worried?

Now, I will never know.

Because, I am gone.

You broke me

We used to be so good together,

But something in you changed.

The moments we had, the words you said

Now they're all gone.

I used to believe that I was your everything,

You used to say you won't walk away.

My heart was fragile but I gave it to you,

Prideful. Vain and Cruel. Those are things that describe you.

For a spilt moment, a second when I blinked

My trust was broken, my heart in peaces

That night you walked away, my life changed.

You took what was important to me, you broke my heart. You broke me.
