When I realized my heart was slowing, the pain was growing further away. The fever faded from both body and mind, leaving the mind clear. I saw it. I wasna a door exactly, more of a passageway of some kind. And I could go through it if I wanted, and I did want to. But I knew what lay behind me, too. I realized at that moment I had a choice. Go forward or turn back….. I knew ye were the one thing that could bring me back.
