It’s only April and somehow Guy Ritchie’s managed to make one of the best movies of the year so far AND one of the best shows. We’re excited about that! And this movie has Henry Cavill AND Eiza González, so you know Demi was excited going in.

There were only TWO hosts available for today’s episode and you’ll never guess which ones. We’re on a covert mission (not really) to review Guy Ritchie’s latest movie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare! Is it possible that Guy Ritchie has made one of the best movies AND TV shows of the year? How does he make so many movies so fast? Why do the ghosts of Henry Cavill’s career haunt this episode? And is there a Superman out there for Cassie? Come hang out with us as we sprint our way through this episode. You can also find us on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!

We got action! Demi’s reviewing Monkey Man, Demi and Dallas are reviewing Invincible, and Dallas is talking about X-Men ‘97 AGAIN! Also, Gaby’s declaring her beef with Drake and Cassie’s watching the show that introduced us to him. And Gaby's turning the podcast into BookTok! Was the second half of Invincible season two worth the four month wait? Was Monkey Man worth all of Dev Patel’s injuries? Will Dallas ever make it through another episode without bringing up X-Men ‘97? Tune in and find out! You can also find us on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!

Listen to our new episode to hear us explore questions like “What if John Wick was a little worse at fighting?” and “Are there healthier options for dealing with trauma than killing a bunch of people?”

Our very own Cassie has recently come out as somewhat of a horror fan! SOMEWHAT. She’d want us to specify that. If you listen to our podcast, you know that Cassie has been trying (and failing) to beat the horror fan allegations for a couple of years now. And Dallas is elated to have her join the team. On that note, here’s Cassie’s 10 Minute Take on A Quiet Place Part II!

Have you seen Love Lies Bleeding yet? Because we’re hearing this movie is pretty insane from start to finish! Do you like Kristen Stewart being gay as hell? Do you like body horror? Do you like mobsters and violence and crazy third acts?! Then this might be the movie for you. Check out Demi and Cassie’s thoughts in episode 278.

We recorded this episode before X-Men ‘97 decided to DESTROY us this week! How are you feeling about the new animated show? Is it everything you hoped for the X-Men? Are you simping after the Goblin Queen, too? Would you fold like Scott? Do you think people who complain about the show being “woke” need to shut up? Let us know in the comments and check out episode 278 to hear our thoughts on the first three episodes of X-Men ‘97.

When there have been this many movies with Godzilla and Kong, you’ve gotta find ways to keep things fresh. So how do you do that? Turn Kong into an old uncle and have the monsters suplex each other!

We’re back! We’ve been gone for a month, but we’re back! Did you notice we were gone? Please say you noticed we were gone! Anyway, Godzilla and Kong are back at it again! If big monsters don’t do it for you, Cassie gives a 10 Minute Take on a movie with some smaller monsters! Meanwhile, Demi is talkin’ about lesbian crimes and Dallas is talkin’ X-Men! Again! Is one of us into monsters in a way that the others aren’t? Why is the X-Men ‘97 show trying to thirst trap us? And why were we gone for a month anyway? Press play and find out! Thanks for listening! We get X-Men ‘97 in two weeks! A few of us have been revisiting the 90s animated series, and we wanted to remind you that anyone complaining about them “making the X-Men woke” is being dumb. The X-Men have been woke for decades. It’s kinda their whole thing.
We also wanted to point out that Wolverine might be the biggest hater of all time. Check out episode 277 for more X-Men talk!

Have you ever seen H2O: Just Add Water? Is this a childhood classic for you? Or are you only aware of the Australian accent meme that spawned from it (thank you, Phoebe Tonkin)? Let us know in the comments and check out Cassie’s take on the first ten minutes in our Dune: Part Two review episode!

The spice must flow! It’s the moment Demi and Gaby have been waiting for! Our Dune: Part 2 episode! Demi and Gaby discuss Alaskan Bullworms and spice while Cassie and Dallas each get a segment dedicated to TV nostalgia. Is Dune: Part 2 as good as Part 1? Does Feyd-Rautha sound like Elvis? And why did the X-Men animators draw Rogue like that in that scene? You know the one. Grab your popcorn bucket (you know the one) and dive in with us to find out! You can also find us on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!

The casting in The Last Airbender movie is all over the place, but we all knew about the whitewashing. What we didn’t remember is that Monk Gyatso is Black (shout out to Damon Jamal Gupton). And also they muted Gyatso’s lines, for some reason. Well, Dallas had a field day with that. Check out our Last Airbender reaction for more of what we think Monk Jamal might be saying.

What are your thoughts on the Sokka/Yue romance? It’s absolutely iconic, obviously, but is it more believable in any medium? When have you ever fallen in love in less than a week? And if you have, please tell your story in the comments, because we’re interested. Check out our reaction to The Last Airbender on YouTube!
