Usually when I encounter unidentifiable animals it’s either because of physical damage to the manuscript or because something generically animal-shaped has been drawn in a location where the text doesn’t provide any clues for a more specific identification. But sometimes a genuine mystery turns up, like this 13th c. french miniature:

Slime Rancher - Rush Mode: gives me a loot box with a Hunter Slime AND a mint mango in it

If you don't get it:

This mode of the game gives you a limited time to make as much money as possible

There are gold Gordo slimes (giant slimes that burst into babies when fed the requisite amount of food) scattered around the world to help you get ludicrous amounts of money, because when you bop the gold slimes babies with something they give plorts worth 300 gold (other plorts are worth 10-75 gold)

They, unlike the rest of the Gordo slimes, will only accept their favorite food which is Gilded Gingers

Which you only get enough of to feed all of the Gordos

You also only have 4 slots in your inventory and mine was full. The game has item warps you can set up in pairs to warp items back to your base from anywhere in the world. So that I could collect the rare slime, I was shooting gingers into the item warp

Family Tragedy

I really hate to make one of these, because I feel like I shouldn’t ask for help.  I haven’t really talked about it, but in early July, my dad was admitted to the ICU for Covid, and he didn’t make it.  A family friend started a GoFundMe to help mom and I with the medical expenses and bills that piled up while we were taking care of him, and while it helped, things are still going to be tight for mom and I for the foreseeable future.   Every little bit helps, and even sharing the GFM does.  I still feel like I shouldn’t ask for help, but I’m just so worried about my mom.  We were on the verge of finally breaking even with student loans, medical bills, and other bills that had piled up, and then this happened.  I don’t know what I’m going to do without my dad, and if I can help get my mom financially secure, I will be less worried about her.  I know so many people have lost family and friends to Covid, and that we’re all in this boat, but we still need help.
