i scrolled thru antons blog for a sec to see if they had made a clarification post (they did. they basically just repeated their og post) and WOWW does this guy sound fuckin pretentious

It's kinda sad to see how strict the Creepypasta fandom has gotten. When I first joined Tumblr and really got actively involved in the fandom back in September, it was so incredible that my first fandom experience was full of people taking such basic concepts and random characters made years ago, and creating something so personal to them.

I think the most beautiful and unique part of the Creepypasta fandom is the creative liberties and artistic interpretations. The fact that we all have our own AUs and ships and headcanons, and we all have our own takes on things. Our own little worlds we made with these random ass characters. Thats something Ive always loved about this fandom, and its so sad to see people hating on others just for having their own ships, characterizations, headcanons, whatever (as long as it isnt just straight up illegal or harmful yknow, a given.)

We need to go back to letting people be happy, and letting people do what they want. Let people post things, make art, create stories, stray so far from canon, do things that you dont personally agree with. Let people be people. Theres no need to go out of your way to shove it in peoples faces when theyre just tryna enjoy something "I dont like this thing"/"This character doesnt do this in canon"/"I dont agree with this", just keep it to yourself.

Obviously theres a difference between claiming something is canon when its not and just making headcanons and AUs, but seriously man. Can we just go back to letting people have their fun?

jane and clockwork both have human experimentation in their backstories, right? i really want to incorporate that into the ccu bc it could connect the other main stories. jane and natalie are both the victims of the main villains in those stories (jeff and the cult, respectively) and it just feels right for them to meet, yknow? and also it could be a good way to show like. public perception of weird supernatural shit and how common/known it is in-universe. itd also just feel like a missed opportunity if i didnt do anything w the coincidence

jane gets fully decapitated but gets brought back to life so my first thought is ofc smth to do w that. government finds a girl who objectively should NOT be alive, vivisection ensues. i also have natalie in a good place to get Got bc shes close to smiley and eyeless who both die in some way thanks to the cult as well but it just seems. a little too fantastical to me ? i really wanna make this work but im not sure how ........

BTW u guys dont know this but i am so fucking ORGANIZED. ive grouped these characters by the stories theyre in + the type of entity they are within the universe AND ive assigned all of them to a constellation. and an emoji. the emojis are for shorthand purposes bc there are almost 20 characters to keep track of in here (EDIT: ive downsized lol theres 14, but im focusing on like 9), and the constellations are for fun and maybe referring to them ominously within the universe later idk ??

speaking of grouping them into their stories, thats made things much easier for me. ive got the main 2 stories + prologue + what i like to call anellini which translates to "little rings." i cant remember why i chose to call them this. ANYWAY the anellini are much smaller, more self-contained stories that are mostly meant to expand the world the ccu takes place in and bring more characters into it. these will be written after the main stories are finished. probably
