3x14: Ready or Not
It's been a hot minute since I've hopped on here for this, but an even longer minute since I've seen an episode on time. So let's get to it.
Jordan meets Spencer to train. Jordan tells Spencer that he has indeed seen his therapist as required to help him train. He has to work on his wellness box, which Jordan feels training with Spencer is a good start.
Billy made food for Laura and Olivia as a token of appreciation (lowkey mostly for Olivia) and her progress. However, Billy isn't comfortable with Olivia driving to school - even if it's only 10 minutes away. Thus, Billy's dad is enlisted to help and Laura's mom comes to visit!
We get a flashback of Shawn, Coop, and Spencer. They made a bucket list when they were 10 about all the things they can do when they turn 18.
It was Billy's idea to get Laura's mom into town. She tells Laura that it is a waste of time to try to get the cops on trial since it's really hard. Laura tells her that the Pratt family deserves justice and that's final.
Coop visits Shawn's grave and tells him that it's been hard and that his daughter is getting bigger each day. She's doing good in school and her two best friends are boys, just like her. She thinks about the bucket list they made 8 years ago.
Layla talks with her friend (from rehab, I don't remember her name:() and reveals that part of the reason she's against the Preach and Coop team up because since it's started, it's been her and Coop against it all.
Laura is able to go through with the indictment, however, Olivia is in trouble too by the law of stealing footage from the D.A. Laura chooses her daughter and resigns. Olivia does not stand for it and she wants to fix it. She always knew stealing the video was wrong, but she didn't know it would come to this. Olivia and her grandma are able to find a loophole to keep Olivia safe, but Laura resigns regardless because she doesn't want to be part of a system that works keeps murderous cops, and uses teenage girl's feelings as leverage. She will keep fighting, but she will just find a new way.
Layla, Preach, and Spencer (behind the scenes) throw Coop a birthday party. Patience comes as a surprise and gives Coop a gift from Spencer. Inside are items from their coded bucket list (Joy = vote, Pain = Tattoo, Sunshine = skydiving, and Rain = strip club).
Preach finds out he has a daughter, Spencer wins his football game and gets a scholarship offer, and Jordan asks his dad and grandpa to tell him about his grandma.
Some tea is going down next week, but honestly when is there not tea? Also, if you didn't get emotional with those flashbacks, I don't trust you.
Until then!

3x07: Roll the Dice
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve hopped on here bUT it’s Vegas time baby! The long awaited secrets reveal is here.
The gang is having fun in the private gaming room but Coop can tell there’s something off with Patience and JP. Spencer tells Coop that he hasn’t been able to come on tour because he’s been working and asks if Coop has been getting along with Layla.
Layla and Jordan have a scene together which was very cute, I feel like we don’t get those two together alone. They talked about Simone, the baby, and how much Jordan loves her.
NOT JORDAN USING ENDGAME.
With Olivia, she’s at home. Spencer calls her from Vegas. He could’ve hung out with Layla one-on-one, but he said something felt off so he wasn’t going to “put on the moves”. The next day, Olivia comes to Vegas and surprises Spencer. Simone sees Olivia but is acting sketchy. Layla brings her dad some breakfast (which they got a new dad, but ok).
Olivia and Spencer go gift hunting for Layla and get Spencer some clarity. He gets sick of it and decides to leave; Olivia follows soon after. Olivia wholeheartedly believes in what she was told at the reading and finds that Simone and Jordan are going to get married at night. Olivia and Spencer had a lot to say, but Simone and Jordan aren’t changing their minds.
Patience shows JP the kind of things the wants to sing. He says it’s different than her other things, and asks her to change some things in the song and it should be better. JP is with the woman who he’s giving Patience’s song to [Lil Julez].
bYE Jordan & Simone’s wedding & vows were SO CUTE TF. And of course, OF COURSE Spencer and Olivia would be looking at each other and having flashbacks of their time(s) together during. That’s what weddings are for, right? He tells Olivia that he’s in love with her and they kiss. It’s too much for Olivia, and she leaves to go to Mexico to surprise Asher.
The episode ends with Layla in present day, crying.
WTFFFFFF YOU GUYS OMG

3x02: How to Survive in South Central
We open this episode with Layla getting dressed in Spencer’s room. They’re acting all couple-y and talk about spending senior year apart.
Spencer is ready to get back into the school groove, ready to start Senior year. He meets up with Coop and they walk to class. He’s greeted with a hug from Patience, and claps from his classmates. All except from one. One who is blaming him for Crenshaw loosing the state championship.
I am loving Olivia’s first day of school outfit. She encourages Asher to rejoin the football team. Layla introduces Olivia to Vanessa Montez, who is the new football coaches daughter. The coach is a woman which is obviously amazing except for the fact that JJ thinks she’s hot. What is it with high school boys fantasizing about female teachers? (Side note: she’s from the Fosters!). Asher asks Coach Montez if he can be back on the team since it’s a new season and he’s clean, but she says no.
Vanessa knows Asher from a presumed summer fling. The flashback just starts before the commercial break.
Preach meets Mo and WAIT THEY USED TO BE TOGETHER WHAT THE FUCK WHAT WHAAAAAATTTTTT.
At Beverly, JJ and Jordan are battling it out for QB and over at Crenshaw, the same thing is happening with Chris and Darnell. Billy asks Spencer on who he thinks should be starting QB since he knows them better than anyone. Billy also decided to donate his salary to the football program.
It’s suspected that Layla’s dad took Patience’s song and gave it to another artist which is why Patience left, and why Coop suspects Layla was stealing from her. Good news for Jordan, he earned QB1 and JJ congratulates him genuinely. Over at Crenshaw, Billy chooses Chris to be starting QB, leaving Darnell upset and irritated. Darnell thinks that Spencer put in a good word for Chris, which is why he got the position, but in reality, Spencer put in a good word for Darnell.
Turns out, Olivia went to surprise Asher in Mexico, but saw him with Vanessa. Obviously, Asher has no idea and she would like to keep it that way. Spencer asks Billy why he ignored his advice, and he says the team is already comfortable with Chris.
You guys! The ending *chefs kiss*. If this show doesn’t warm your heart, I don’t know what does.
Until next week!

Season Three Premiere: Seasons Pass
Welcome back to Beverly/Crenshaw High School! Senior year is officially starting.
Olivia of course is already at work with her activism. Herself and other students painted ‘Black Lives Matter’ in the school hallway. Spencer and Jordan talk about Simone and she’s having the baby! Spencer hasn’t had any nerve difficulties since we last saw him; Olivia tells Spencer that space is a good idea. Asher comes back a day early and Simone chose to give the baby up for adoption. Totally reasonable, respectful, & understandable choice, I just thought we’d be seeing a baby, especially since Jordan was at least mentally prepared for one. Anyways, her dad is eager to know details but Simone says that she figured it’d be too hard to let the baby go if she had contact with it, and asked her dad to tell Jordan to go home.
Billy’s at Crenshaw and looking at a teacher when Grace comes up. They talk about her proposal, her (ended) relationship with Micah, and how it’ll be with him being Head Coach. Shoot well this guy whose name I forgot is at odds with Grace and apparently went to high school with Billy & Corey who’s nicknamed ‘Bully Baker’.
Layla and Coop are driving back home from tour - Coop got glowing reviews! Patience left the tour early leaving Layla and Coop puzzled. Layla feels weird about seeing Spencer since summer is over. Coop surprises Spencer, Chris, and Patience at Coop’s house. Side note: it’s interesting to see how they hid/are hiding  Chelsea’s (Patience) pregnancy.
I don’t know if Monet got a nose job, like if she did that’s fine but it took me a second to be sure that it was her on the screen.
Anyways, Simone’s dad possibly met the man who is going to be the father of Simone’s baby. The baby’s name is Shay, and I said possibly because many people adopt so it could just be a coincidence, and I don’t wanna be like ‘oh my gosh it’s him’ and then it turn out not to be.
Coop tries to get Patience to tell her why she left tour early but she won’t give.
Olivia is brushing aside how her summer went in conversations with Asher and distracts him with sex. Well, that’s awkward. Spencer walked into the Baker household and Olivia and Asher walked down post-sex.
Simone hasn’t talked to Jordan because he loved the baby so much and she can’t stand to see him be hurt because of her again.
uH WTF HAPPENED IN VE-AAAAAHHHHHHH LAYLA AND SPENCER HOOKED UP IN VEGAS OVER THE SUMMER.
Everyone’s - well a good amount of people (really, just Beverly footballers) - are annoyed with Spencer because of an interview that took place in the beginning of the episode. For saying that Beverly was his past.
Patience signed an NDA so, she can’t say much to Coop, but the reason she left tour early was because of JP. He takes cut-throat to a whole new level and she was gonna say more but Coop interrupted because she’s trying to find out where Preach is.
WAIT IT WAS JUST A MEMORY BILLY HAD OF HIS MOM AND HIMSELF.
Jordan and Spencer had a physical fight because Spencer didn’t consider didn’t consider the community he’s ripping apart when he chose to save Crenshaw. Dillon spoke some truth into him about how Spencer gave Jordan a brother, and then was suddenly gone.
Simone is feeling bad about pushing Jordan and the baby away but her dad told her his name is Shay and showed her pictured which were sent to Jordan. Jordan is happy and tells Simone he’s on the way. I’m not saying that I feel like something bad will happen but...it was just too happy of a moment and he was in his car so...
Spencer’s arm acted up again when he was hit by Jordan, and he tells Billy.
uM EXCUSE YOU CW. They ended the episode with Spencer asking Olivia if she was just going to forget what happened this summer.
See you next week!

2x16 Decisions - SEASON FINALE
We open the scene with Spencer standing on the football field and memories of football, his childhood, and his father. Billy comes by and tells him that it’s the year of firsts without Corey, and that he experienced them when his mom died.
An athletic director comes by to talk to Billy about his position and that he should let him know if there’s anything else he’s been hiding before anything in the investigation continues.
Layla is trying to find venues for Coop and her and her dad have breakfast together while Billy tells his family that he is moving out because Laura and he have been separated for a while now. Laura is visibly emotional and leaves the room.
Spencer is cleaning Corey’s gravestone and catching him up on everything that’s been happening. Darnell stops by because now Crenshaw High is going to be running on a lottery system and will have less sport priority.
Simone made Jordan a highlight reel of his career and that’s the cutest thing ever.
Billy officially resignes as head coach of the Beverly Eagles because he knows his worth and does not need to continuously prove himself to the boosters. After he leaves, Laura hears the athletic coordinator talk trash about Billy and she sticks up for Billy.
Olivia keeps trying to get into contact with her sober sponser and it hasn’t been successful. Asher invites Olivia to spend the summer with him and his mom.
Jordan meets with Simone at the football field and he CONFESSES THAT HE’S IN LOVE WITH HER and they kiss.
Spencer will be leaving Beverly and returning to Crenshaw High in the fall as he is a resource that will provide good things for the school. He then convinces Billy to come coach at South Crenshaw.
In jail, Preach gets a visit from Tyrone’s sister Mo. An inconvience to us all.
Olivia is drinking but stops when Spencer comes in to hang out and check in on her. Since everyone is pretty much gone for the summer, they are all they have. Unfortunately, Spencer’s arm which was thought to have healed has not as juice he picked up from the fridge slipped through his fingers which is also SO INFURIATING but we’ll see how that pans out next season.

2x11 Tha Crossroads
We start with Spencer being rushed to the hospital and a nurse telling Olivia that the hospital is on lockdown.
Nurse Joy is trying to save Spencer’s life but everyone is not rushing to do it. Officer Pruitt is questioning Olivia and trying to paint a bad picture of Spencer. He is assuming that the shooting was related to complete gang violence - implying that Spencer is also in a gang and that it wasn’t just one sided.
Olivia gets in to see Spencer and his request to her is that she find Coop. He wants to prevent more bloodshed if he can.
Coop comes to see Spencer. He tells her to be strong and to deliver a message to Flip saying not to go after Tyrone. Coop has to leave because Spencer can’t feel his hand.
Cliff is plotting something against Billy but that’s not new. Darnell and Grace arrive and Darnell tells Olivia that he knows Tyrone. Spencer has to choose either to leave the bullet in (which will limit his movement and end his football career forever) or do a surgery which if it doesn’t go well, could leave Spencer paralyzed.
Layla visits Spencer in the morning and they talk about his football career and the surgery.
Ummm so Coop tells Flip that she’ll kill Tyrone and that way, no war will start.
Simone comes over briefly to warn Jordan about what Cliff is planning against Billy.
Tyrone has an alibi as to where he was when the shooting happened. He was with Darnell.
Spencer is going to do the surgery because football is how he stays connected to his dad.
Coop is leaving a letter at Spencer’s and Preach finds her there. He tells her that he’ll kill Tyrone - it’ll be personal. And, once you kill a man you change, and he doesn’t want it to change Coop.
Tyrone predicted that Preach would do Coops dirty work and threaten him so, he encouraged someone to get the police knowing that Preach would get caught with a weapon.
The football team shows up to show that Billy and Spencer are Eagles. Meanwhile, Tyrone sends Coop a video of Preach getting arrested stating that she’s next.
Cliff is voted off as lead booster so yay!
“It’s love that lifts us out of the dark.” - Spencer
Everyone from Crenshaw came out to the hospital to support Spencer and he speaks on Olivia’s podcast.
Tyrone supposedly left town but that’s all.

2x10 Protect Ya Neck
Heheheh we open up with Olivia on her podcast and she’s spilling all the right things.
“We need to be aware of the world outside our bubble.”
Darnell and Spencer and playing football for fun and talk about playing for Corey. Darnell tells Spencer that he’s too good to walk away AND TYRONE IS STILL HERE.
Olivia, Layla, Spencer, and Asher talk about the upcoming Cotillion and Spencer is going to be Kia’s escort. Coop is also going but Patience isn’t exactly excited about it.
Coops mom got her a dope new suit but her happiness is dimmed when she sees Patience talking to another girl.
Asher misses the last dance practice with Olivia because his dedication and masculinity is put into question at football practice.
Since Spencer is worried about Tyrone and Coop, he is given a gun by Kia’s uncle. He tells her about it and she said that he’s just helping.
Kia suggests that Spencer be Olivia’s escort and that Jordan be her new escort. Olivia agrees and confronts Asher about missing what was important to her in which he says the dance is stupid and that she never wanted to be apart of the club anyways.
Coop and Patience talk about her ex and it’s not a light conversation.
Damnnnnn Spencer threatened Tyrone you guys.
Asher and Billy have a mini chat about how Olivia is Billy’s baby girl and how Asher should think long and hard before he makes any decisions.
“You either live looking miserable or die smiling.” - Spencer
YOU GUYS THE COTILLION OPENING DANCE WAS SO COOL.
Jordan and Layla have been chatting it up this episode. Jordan takes her to the dance floor so that she can dance with Spencer. After their dance, they go outside and kiss but Spencer breaks it off and they talk about how she needs to focus on herself first.
Coop and Patience break up with Patience saying “I don’t want to be loved like this”.
Olivia wins an award which is well deserved but then Asher makes a fuss when he comes and sees her kissing Spencer’s cheek.
Fucking bitch Tyrone goes up to Darnell and tells him to make sure not to get hurt for football. And Darnell doesn’t know what Tyrone looks like so he’s not even worried.
And just like that, the feeling I’ve been having becomes real. I’ve had the feeling that someone was going to get shot, and IT WAS FUCKING SPENCER AND NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT.

2x09 - One of Them Nights
Wow, football season is back, so let’s dive in.
Coop is freaking out at Spencer's because Tyrone is out. Preach tells them that he won’t testify against him (he’s not a snitch) but as long as Coop is alive, Tyrone will remain alive and a free man.
Three weeks later, the team is grinding it out and Spencer is working constantly. His mom comes by his work to catch up. Spencer has side jobs now too, since he quit football so he needs money for college.
Billy is having trouble spending time with his kids because they already have plans (Olivia with Asher, Jordan with JJ).
With school and work, Spencer hasn’t had enough time to go back home and hang out with Dillon. Dillon is obviously annoyed (and probably a little hurt) and is giving Spender attitude for not bring there. Dillon tells Spencer that he doesn’t need him anymore and to feel free to stay in Beverly Hills.
At rehab, Layla reveals she was afraid of not bring enough. She shares that she doesn’t think the people in her life love her enough to stay. She talks about her mom first, then her dad. Her revelation is deemed a “major growth moment”.
Spencer and Coop are at the playground talking about Dillon. Coop tells him that she needs to sell forty 100$ tickets to perform and mentions Tyrone lurking pretty much everywhere that she’s at.
Olivia is visiting Layla and Layla asks about Spencer. Olivia fills her in and asks when Layla she’ll be cleared to go. Apparently, Layla can now have off campus visits but they have met at rehab twice.
So apparently, where Coop is performing (BellaNoche) used to be Billy’s spot back in the day. That was one of the truest dad moments I’ve ever seen. When she’s selling tickets, Preach asks if the promoter is legit. She gets salty and dismisses him.
Jordan tells Olivia that she needs to be honest with Layla about her relationship with Asher.
Asher picks up the tense vibe between Spencer and Dillon. He tells Asher that it’s his time now in football which Asher appreciates. Ah, what a nice bro moment. Asher, Olivia, Spencer, Jordan, Kia and Dillon go get fro-yo. Everyone who works there is white and Spencer gets fed up with Dillons attitude and calls him out. Dillon brushes passed him and drops his fro-yo which Spencer tries to clean up but the owner tells them to leave and calls the cops. They all have to wait (and Olivia is recording on her phone I think, but I know she texted someone) and Billy comes to see what is going on. He knows officer Bright from High School. Billy serves Bright a hot cup of telling it like it is and the kids are released.
Reclaim your life. - Billy Baker
Wow, okay. So the promoter guy blew Coop off and had no intention of squeezing her into the show if she sold all of the tickets. Which, after Preach said something I kind of figured it might not work out, but still.
LAYLA IS CHECKING OUT OF REHAB.
Spencer walked Kia home and they shared another moment (the first was at BellaNoche) and they kissed (...and went into her house because no one will be home for a few hours).
Olivia makes a podcast to let the truth be put on blast about anything from racial inequality to police brutality. The Beverly Hills bubble needs to be popped.
Later, she and Spencer go to get Layla a ride home from rehab and they hug.
It ends with Preach threatening Coop before leaving.
Next week, Spencer is given a gun because he’s tired of feeling helpless.

2x08 Life Goes On
So after the CW fucked us over, the open this episode with a funeral for Corey. And then a quick forward to two weeks and Corey has no headstone.
Leila turns up and Spencer admits that he still has things that he wants to talk about with his dad.
Leila, Spencer, Coop, and Patience meet up at the go to hang out and while Coop is talking to Preach, Leila asks Patience when she would want to set up a time with her dad. Patience is confused at this, and Leila tells her that her dad loved her voice when he heard the demo.
Awh, Jordan is attempting to build a crib. Billy sees him and tells him that he’ll figure out how to be a dad. Billy gives Jordan a watch that has been passed down from his grandfather whenever the son has a child.
Spencer and Darnell made the top 300 football players list which is obviously a big deal.
Olivia meets up with Ashers mom (super weird). She asks Olivia what she should do to get him back. She won’t tell Olivia the real reason why she left because it’s between herself and her ex husband.
Jordan made a whole ass nursery (with the help of Olivia) for Simone and I SWEAR TO GOD IF THIS BABY IS NOT JORDANS I WILL RIOT.
Laura tells Billy that what happened between them was a mistake - a moment of weakness.
YOU GUYS CANT HEAR ME BUT I FUCKING SCREAMED WHEN SIMONE TOLD JORDAN THAT THE BABY ISN'T HIS.
I’m literally so fucking upset. Simone told Jordan that when she found out she was pregnant, she was feeling lonely and saw how much Jordan loves his family. She wanted someone to love her child like that. The father is unnamed as it is someone that she does not want in her child’s life. Jordan tells her to leave.
Spencer’s having a hard time focusing on the football offers as of course he’s still thinking about Corey’s. Leila’s advice obviously isn’t helpful. To move on, or move forward, you have to let the pain in and process it, not ignore it.
Coop is having a mixtape party and tells Patience that she will be singing the original version tonight (aka the version without her) as tonight is about getting Coop’s name out as a solo act. Patience then tells Coop that she feels as if she didn’t want her working with JP. Coop tells Patience that singing is just a hobby; Coop’s trying to make her dreams happy. Patience gets annoyed and leaves.
Asher, Olivia, and his dad are at a fancy dinner and Ashers mom shows up. Asher didn’t tell either of them that the other was going to be there. Asher is getting his answers tonight.
Darnell tells Spencer that with Corey gone, there’s no point in him sticking around. He’s going to live with him mom in Germany.
Laura hands Billy legal separation papers. She wants a divorce.
Before Coop sings her song, she publicly apologizes to Patience for bring a bad girlfriend and invites her to sing with her. They sing, and it’s cute asf.
With Leila, she’s driving at night. She’s crying, and she’s speeding. She knows she is and everything that’s happened recently flashes through her mind as she almost drives her car off of a cliff. Her mother’s report photo comes to mind and she immediately steps in the breaks. She calls Spencer and he comes.
Leila admits that she needs help. They hug while she cries.
Tea time with the Adams family! Plus Olivia. Ashers mom reveals that his dad made her promise that she would stay away from him. If she broke that promise, he’d tell everyone - including Asher - that more than 20 years ago she was an escort. That’s how they met.
After that hot tea, it’s the championship ring ceremony. You already know that a sister she’d some tears.
Spencer decides to quit football (I think) and the James’ have a congratulations party for Darnell and offer him to live with them. He says yes!
Leila checks herself into rehab. Proud of her!!
Jordan and Simone meet up and he says that while he is angry, he still wants to be there for the baby. She says that he doesn’t have to, but he says that he wants to.
Olivia takes Asher to where she goes to make her feel better. He tells her that they’re more than just friends and doesn’t want to be dishonest. Then, HE TELLS OLIVIA THST HES IN LOVE WITH HER. I screamed again. And they kiss, the lighting is good, the quality is good, the setting is good, they’re cute asf. Life is good.
Spencer visits his dads grave and tells his dad that it hurts to play. He tells Corey that he’ll try to make him proud. Billy finds him there and tells him that he supports him and that he’s there for him before leaving. Spencer then buries his championship ring with his dad.
The last scene (because of course we can’t end with a god one) has Coop running into Tyrone (that was his name right? It’s been a minute). I’m so fucking nervous. Shoulda killed him when they had the chance. But wait, he got out of jail? I guess we’ll find out in 2020!

2x07 Coming Home
Buckle up kids, it’s going to be an emotional ride.
Spencer, Grace, Dillon, and Darnell set off to go find Corey at this cabin that he’s been known to hide out at and damn the view looks nice.
The Bakers suit up for family therapy.
Darnell and Spencer have a heart to heart where Darnell tells Spencer what it was like growing up with Corey. Spencer admits that he’s scared and Darnell encourages him to talk to Corey.
The Bakers get assigned homework to draw what their family looks like vs what they actually feel and Jordan makes jokes until Olivia reminds him that he should take this more seriously because he will be having a kid of his own.
“I’m angry that you’re dying and there ain’t nothing I can do about it.” - Spencer
Corey apologizes to Grace for his role in ending their marriage. He finally asks for the details of her affair and with Laura and Billy, the therapist suggests that he tell Laura about the affair.
Long story short, after he injured his knee and Laura told him that he should quit, he felt betrayed and went to Crenshaw to see his dad. But we all know that his dad doesn’t like Laura, so that would make things worse. Coincidentally, Grace was out walking and offered him an ear. They both felt needed by each other and ended up sleeping together.
Grace said that knowing the details made things worse and got up to leave.
Olivia’s hidden talent is art, which she picked up at rehab. Jordan sees her ‘feels like’ drawing and is confused when he’s not in it. She explained how they used to be best friends but then he threw himself into football and she felt abandoned. He tells her that that’s true, but only because she already had a bond with dad, so he was trying to get one too. His intention was not to abandon her. She reveals that she also feels like she’s just getting him back and that with the baby, she’s worried she will lose him again. Jordan assures her that she will not lose him again.
Billy gives Laura a photo album with notes that she gave him that he saved. They kiss;)
Corey takes Spencer fishing since Darnell told him he’s never been. They have a heart to heart, hug, and catch a fish.
But the CW decided to fuck shit up and Corey died holding his jersey that he gifted Spencer.

2x06 Hard Knock Life
Welcome back!
After the recap, we see the Beverly boys being interviewed and they're all smiles.
There's going to be a 7 on 7 rematch with Beverly & Crenshaw which Billy is not a fan of.
Jordan gets asked by Simone to be there with her at her ultrasound appointment on Saturday at 3pm, which is at the same time as the rematch game.
Leila and her dad move into a new house and he tries to make things better with her, which of course she is not having.
AH! OLIVIA & ASHER ARE TALKING & KISSING.
She asks him if his mom has reached out since her visit. He brings up how Olivia has been acting weird around him and asks if she regrets them and she says she's just trying to process what's going on in her head. He leaves, and later we see him lowkey bash his mom when she sees him at the restaurant.
Coop and Patience show Leila Coop's song. Leila says the lyrics are perfect, and the song could be great. She gives them her moms lyrics to add to Coop's song.
WE LOVE OLIVIA AND LAURA BAKER SCENES.
Asher's mom shows up to the game.
Cliff is bad news, but that's not new.
Spencer stops playing and kneels, signifying a forfeit and Darnell does the same since they both realize that this game is not how to prove something/get what they want.
Darnell & Spencer agree to find answers on Corey together, and finish strong💓
Coop gets invited to Leila's by her dad. She's excited until she learns that he thought Coop & Patience were a duo. He mostly liked Patience on the track and didn't exactly care for Coop's solo act.
Asher & Olivia agree to just be best friends to keep having normal conversations - best friend conversations.
Jordan asks his mom to take him to Simone's appointment. They share a sweet family moment.
At the James residence, Spencer, his mom, Dillon, Billy, and Darnell discuss what they know about Corey and find out that Corey has cancer.
Leila asks her dad if her mom committed suicide, the James' decide to make sure Corey doesn't die alone, Coop doesn't tell Patience about Leila's dad liking her voice & Billy and Laura talk about trying their relationship again.
It was an emotional episode. At least for me.
Until the next episode!

2x05 Bring The Pain
Well hello there fellow AA enthusiasts! We are back in business,
A whole ass intervention is staged for Leila including her dad, Olivia, Spencer, Olivia’s mom, and a doctor. Leila didn’t really blow up, but she was just like “what the fuck” and asked her dad if they could speak in private.
Spencer and Dillon are with their mom and Billy talking about the letters that Corey left behind. Spencer is obviously worked up and lets it all out and tells Dillon that Corey leaving had to do with him. It’s just who he is.
Darnell and Spencer get in a fight at Beverly. He had sought out Spencer for answers as to why Corey left since he believes that Spencer probably messed something up. He provokes Spencer by saying that he is more of a son to Corey.
Leila and her dad are having lunch and discuss her meeting with a therapist. She tells him she has a project to work on with JJ which is an obvious lie. Instead, she tells JJ to throw a party for the twins.
Spencer has to have dinner with the big booster guy and brings Billy. Right away, Billy is entertained and Spencer makes it clear that he does not want to be there.
The twins mom comes home early and announces to an empty house that she knows that she was a bit harsh in cancelling their birthday party. We see that she has them cupcakes (and possibly presents) when she suspicious. She checks her phone and sees a picture of her kids at the party.
Well okay then. Spencer angrily left dinner and Rochelle gave him a ride to the party. They have a chat about Spencer’s feelings and she says she’ll talk to her dad. They left and Leila sees them smiling and letting go of their held hands through the window. Hurt (despite knowing the situation with his dad), she kisses Asher in front of Olivia. Olivia then goes in search of Jordan and Asher goes after her to tell her that the kiss wasn’t anything and she says she knows. He gives her a birthday gift (pre-paid phone) and they almost kiss but Olivia’s mom comes and shuts down the party.
Leila causes a scene with her dad in front of the leaving party goers. She tells Mrs. Baker to fix her broken family and tells Olivia to never speak to her again. She leaves, and Olivia and her mom share a hug with tears.
Jordan goes to his dad and they also share a hug after Jordan tells him that he got this girl (Simone) pregnant. He doesn’t know what to do and Billy tells him that they’ll figure it out together.
In the morning, Billy brings Jordan back home. Jordan goes back upstairs and Billy tells Laura that he’s moving back in because their kids need structure and he doesn’t know how to do that when he doesn’t live with them. When she protests, he tells her that Jordan got a girl pregnant.
Leila’s dad brings her to a therapist and tells her that her mother had depression. He tells her that he should’ve been there, but he’s here now and they’ll face it together.
Asher brings Olivia ice cream and reveals his feelings and THEY FINALLY KISS. Wow progression from season one I tell you.
At the end, Spencer finds out that Dillon could be Corey’s or Billy’s. Spencer assumes the worst, that Corey left because of him. His mom assures him that he will always be enough.

2x04 - They Reminisce Over You
Welcome back fellow football enthusiasts!
We start off with a 1987 flashback!
We see baby Corey James and baby Billy Baker and it’s the cutest thing. They’re playing against each other in football.
Grace has her 25 year reunion coming up and Coop tells her that she should bring someone to it.
Spencer invites Leila to the reunion BBQ to spend time with his dad. He notices her cuts again and asks her what she’ll be doing today.
Olivia tells Jordan that she’ll let him drive her car if he comes with her to the reunion and spends time with Billy.
We see Asher, it’s been a hot minute, and his dad says that he’s got big news. Asher was talking to his mom on the phone and it’s been like a year since they last spoke. She asked him to have lunch with her and that she has important news to tell him.
With Leila and Spencer, he asks her about the cuts and she says that they came from her bracelet. Annoyed, she leaves his house.
Coop and Spencer are hanging out and they’re talking about Leila. He suggests calling her dad.
At the reunion, Billy and Corey briefly talk about Spencer’s decision. They get distracted by Grace coming down and we move to a flashback. This time, it’s a teenage Corey and Billy. It’s their senior year and they see a cute asf Grace walking down the hall and have that “who is that” moment.
Olivia and Spencer talk about Leila and she spills the beans about Leila trashing her own house. Olivia says she knows the signs of depression and that Leila is definitely showing some signs.
Olivia meets up with Asher in front of the restaurant and he reveals that he’s nervous. She tells him that he has the right to be. His mom asks if him and Olivia are dating saying that they “look cute” together (she’s not wrong). His mom tells him that she is now engaged. She shows the ring and Asher does not gaf. He asks if that is all and she tells him that she cannot marry her boyfriend until she is divorced. She asks him to give the papers to his dad and leaves. But hey, we got some cute Olivia & Asher moments.
At the BBQ, Billy and Jordan are talking and there are shared smiles and small laughs. Billy tells him that he misses spending time with him and offers him a ride home, which Jordan declines saying that he has Olivia’s car. Billy asks if Jordan’s mom knows that and Jordan says no, and asks Billy not to tell her.
Leila and Coops hang out ends with Leila knowing that Spencer put Coop up to this and getting in the face of the MC who won the music deal with her dad.
At Graces house, Micah comes over per her request. She asks him to be her date to the reunion dance, and he says yes.
With Jordan, his new fling is in the car and sees that he has a phone call from a girl named Simone. He tries to grab it from her and they end up swerving away from a car and into a fence. Thank goodness that they’re fine because I was NOT about to go through that. But unfortunately, Olivia’s car is damaged.
That is what we call DEVELOPMENT, Asher gave his dad the papers but told him that they have each other and that’s what matters and that he’s not going anywhere. They share a smile and compared to last season I say PROGRESS.
JORDAN IS MAKING THINGS WORSE LIKE STOP.
Leila breaks up with Spencer after finding him in her room and finding out that she called her dad.
ANOTHER FLASHBACK. Corey and Billy have a tiff over football and Grace. Corey punches Billy in the face. Present day, Billy punches Corey in the face when he says that Billy ruined both of their marriages. We find out that Corey was sick and that’s why he took a year off; he didn’t quit football.
Corey gives Billy letters to give to Spencer and Dillon, before leaving.
Um okay so Grace and Micah kissed.
Ashers dad gives Ashers mom the divorce papers and tries to shut the door on her. Before he can, she says that she wants Asher to be apart of his life. He reminds her of a deal they made that if she stays out of Asher’s life, he won’t tell Asher the truth about her. She tells him to go ahead and tell Asher.
Leila is at the hotel and folds clothes while crying.
The episode ends with Corey watching Spencer and Dillon on the steps with tears in his eyes. He drives away and that is all.
