I'm not dead, swear. I know this blog's activity in general has been super bumpy but it's still a passion of mine. Between my job, creative burnout, and literally getting locked out of the account (oops) I've been doing other things fjghfj
I'm taking on some more people to help me behind the scenes and setting a reminder to update or at least post every other week, but the story is very much not dead. Sorry about that.

Reveal of Roux PT. 1
Pitter patter, pitter patter, the foot of the great thief hardly touched the roofs of the buildings they so gracefully flew across. The night was new, they could feel the kiss of precipitation on their face. The stars shone upon them like spotlights in the sky, a show with no witnesses, not yet at least. They came to a stop atop the glass roof of the largest museum in the city. They were saving this heist for a special night… and what a special night it was, looking up into the sky the moon shone a bloodied red. It’s not every night you get to perform for the blood moon itself. Their gaze upon the moon was broken only when the flash of red and blue lights could be seen from below. It was about time, the police were usually there before Roguefort got there themselves. With a smirk, they kicked the glass in and jumped down into the museum. What they didn’t notice, however, is that they had an extra guest on the scene… a small, shadowy creature, watching from afar. The blood moon watches in more ways than one.
They landed in the atrium of the museum, the soft clatter of glass shards fell among them. Looking around, the place wasn’t guarded at all. Usually they’d have to deal with a guard or two, but this time was different. Not a soul in sight, impossible. They’d never leave the thief alone. They walked about the atrium, their goal so easily in sight but yet so far away. There had to be a catch, there had to be. Even Roguefort hyped up this heist with various calling cards! If this was such a big deal, such a valuable target… why so little care? After circling the large gem like a shark, Roguefort made a move. They couldn’t find anything off or anything amiss, so best not to waste more time. They dashed towards the pedestal holding the gem on a soft velvet pillow, but before their hand could reach the gem something slashed at them. Taken aback, they jumped backwards, composing themself before locking eyes with the person between and their goal. A sinister grin grew on their face “So we meet again, Golden Scourge. I should have known they’d deploy only the best”
Outside the museum tensions were only growing. There was no view from outside to inside, no one could tell what was going on. Outside stood famed detectives, Walnut and Almond, among some officers, all anxiously waiting for one or the other to emerge from the museum. Walnut tugged on her father’s sleeve “...what was the plan again? You never told me-” Before Almond could respond, an officer butted in speaking firmly. “We’re finishing this thief, once and for all. We will get them dead or alive tonight.”

Crimson Calling Cards official reboot!
“Hearken to me my dear cookies! Upon starlight’s glow and kissed by the moon’s shine I shall arrive, to embrace only the brightest of jewels and perhaps... a little more~!”
A calling card arrives, colored a brilliant red that stands out against the night. The once brilliant Phantom Bleu, now adorning a new style and the title Phantom Roux, takes to the night. After having vanished for an extended period of time the thief re-emerges, but with a far more sinister demeanor about them. With rumors speaking of a more evil approach to things and a peculiar companion by the name of Eclipse, whatever is Roguefort up to now? And what could have caused such a sudden change in the once enamored thief..?
Welcome to Crimson Calling Cards, an AU and ask blog for an evil/corrupted Roguefort! Containing both written and drawn posts, it follows the story of the mysterious thief, and even more so mysterious intentions. As a warning this AU is on the darker side of things, and may contain the following; Blood, gore, trauma and emotional manipulation. Proper trigger warnings will be added per post!
Crimson Calling Cards is a semi-ask Blog au, interactions and asks are HIGHLY encouraged but not required for story progression!
"So good to be back... did you miss me? ~Roux"

(Apologies in advanced if there are inconsistencies. It’s been awhile, but there are none I caught.)
Back and forth, back and forth… The shadow paced back and forth waiting for his colleague, it hadn’t been long but it felt like hours after they not-so-kindly dumped him in this room with no more than a strict “wait” barked at him. He felt like it was almost a tease to get his hopes up, a fake promise that he could have a form other than a shadow for just one night. He wouldn’t put it past Roguefort, that conniving bastard, but his thoughts were interrupted as Roguefort walked back into the room, barely acknowledging him. “A bird costume, really?” He asked, as Roguefort turned their head just enough to see Eclipse “It’s a classic. You wouldn’t know style if it hit you in the face.” They said, while turning around to face Eclipse in full, who grumbled unamused “…you’re really wearing it as a clip?” Roguefort looked at the feather clipped to their waste, held in place by the gem. “It looks better on me than it would on you, Moony” They said, taunting him slightly. “It’s degrading.” Eclipse squinted at them, learning towards the gem. “It’s like you’re wearing my soul as a costume prop, what if I took your heart and wore it as a-” He was interrupted by Roguefort swatting his arm, hardly realizing he was reaching for the gem as he was speaking. “Hey, you said that I could-!” “When we get there, be patient before I change my mind.” Eclipse pouted, though there wasn’t much he’d be able to do about it. “Fine, alright. What’s the occasion anyways?”
“Oh? I thought if anyone, you would know.” Eclipse tilted his head at this response. “And why would I?” Roguefort twirls, looking out a nearby window. “The blood moon is still young in the night… if anyone, I thought the great god of the crimson moon would know about such an event. Though, I suppose you were always boring, never the one to get out and do things.” Eclipse joins their gaze out the window, not any less confused. “I’m still not understanding what you mean, care to quit being so cryptic?” Roguefort hesitates before turning around, quickly scooping Eclipse up and heading for the door. “I’ll tell you on the way there, we’ve already wasted enough time.” They spoke as they swatted Eclipse’s hand again, who was once again trying to make an attempt to touch the gem as they exited. “Ow, asshole-” Eclipse squeaks. “I told you, patience, else you’ll be a shadow for the rest of time.” Roguefort responded, only met with an annoyed huff before Eclipse pipes up a few minutes later. “Well… are you going to explain what this event is?”
The two were on a relatively empty street, it was no more than them and a few parked cars. The city was asleep under the gaze of the moon and stars, and Eclipse wished they were too. Roguefort looked up to the sky again before speaking. “The blood moon ball, Eclipse. A tradition originating from the City of Wizards-” They were abruptly interrupted by a scoff from Eclipse “Oh? What’s the matter, bad blood with the city?” Eclipse flicked his tail, despite being a shadow Roguefort could almost feel it “Bad blood is putting it lightly. What would THAT place need to be celebrating me- I mean, the blood moon?” Roguefort looked down at him almost condescendingly before responding “Perhaps that would be better left for later. I can’t say I’m not curious about your involvement with the city, and in extent your involvement with the ball.” “You, curious about me?” Eclipse perked up “That would be a first, I thought you didn’t like me” “I don’t.” Roguefort quickly snapped back, quelling any excitement Eclipse just had. “You’re so mean to me…” Eclipse spoke dramatically. “Regardless, what is it you’re going here for? You seem so excited to be at the ball, more so than any of the heists you’ve pulled of as of recent.”
“Have you forgotten already?” Roguefort questions. “I can’t be late to see my favorite violinist.”

Heya
Been awhile hasn’t it? I’m sorry about that, I got a job that keeps me quite busy. Now, I haven’t abandoned this au, and my interest has not dwindled in it, but are you guys still interested in it? It’s been up for 2 years and barely anything has happened, right now my biggest roadblock is the guilt I feel looking at the blog if I’m being honest ^^” I don’t mean to be venty, but do let me know if there’s still interest in the AU! I want to pick it back up as soon as I can, I just need that little push haha

Going to try and soft reboot this blog soon. I haven’t lost interest in it, the AU, or the story. Life and low interaction compared to the launch has made things difficult.

Meanwhile...
As Walnut had received the mysterious letter all wasn't calm on the thief's side, quite the opposite really. Plots were as lively as ever.
“The ball? Why’d you wanna go there?” The small shadow jumped on the table, knocking countless things down in the process attempting to meet the look of his associate, though only getting a quick glare in return. “Why does it concern you?” Roguefort snapped back, their patience already growing thin. “It’s been months Eclipse, yet it’s like you’re as empty minded as the day you showed up.” Eclipse huffed, unable to snap back in a way he wanted “W-well- A party is, I dunno… a waste of time? Aren’t you more focused on…. Y’know?” He was only met by a frustrated sigh. Roguefort turned to face him, quashing the urges to drop him out a nearby window. “One night is hardly a road bump in those plans. Regardless, I have a reputation to hold up. I don’t want you gone any less than you want me gone, so settle down. It’s all in due time.” Eclipse simply glared back at them “And what do you expect me to do while we’re there? A being of pure shadow won’t attract any less attention than your horns.” His glare was only met with one back, yet Roguefort spoke calmly “Simple. I’ll grant you a temporary Cookie form-” Eclipse’s attention immediately piqued but was quickly shattered again as Roguefort continued “But. Only for the night, I can’t have you thinking our deal is up now can I?” Eclipse groaned and fell to his back like an angry animal. “Oh come on!! You’re such a killjoy….” Roguefort merely looked at him for a moment before picking him up and over their shoulder. “Come, we can’t be late. Lest we miss the main attraction.” Eclipse sat quiet a moment before responding “Oh, him…?”

Refsheet master post
All important ref sheets will be kept here. If a character does not have a ref sheet, it is best to be assumed that they do not differ much (or at all) from their in game appearances.

I’m planning on having each major original character (or any character who differs enough from their canon appearance) their own reference/intro post, so here we have Eclipse! Or what we know of him so far, at least. This post and his reference will be updated as we learn about him (and trust me, there is much to be known.)
(Fun fact! I actually redesigned him in the process of making this, I may post his original design later down the line.)
~Eclipse, as we see him here, is no more than a literal mere shadow of himself. In his small draconic form he can roam as a misty creature, but his humanoid form can only be seen in the shadows cast by others.
~The height of his shadows are accurate to his physical forms.
~Personality wise Eclipse is an oddity of sorts. He’s a mix of playful and teasing, threatening and conniving, and sometimes coming off as a pushover. His mood, tone, and intentions seem to change on a whim.
~Eclipse has ties to the lunar eclipse and moon as a whole, though it’s not yet known what exactly that means.
~He sort of just showed up one day and has been sticking to Roguefort like a leech ever since. It’s no secret that they detest him, but he’s rarely ever seen without them. His connections and feelings about Roguefort are largely unknown.

Gonna change up the direction of the blog a little bit to pick up consistency and fix the lack of overall posts, stay tuned. The premise, plot, and all that of the blog will stay the same, just changing up how I do things for an easier formula for myself :)
