I know it’s late and people won’t see this but I gotta post it now so I can have a good cry about it before bed.

I think a lot of y’all have been expecting this for a while now but i still didn’t want to just disappear with no explanation.

Starting the new year I will not be returning to tumblr. It’s been one of the easiest but also difficult decisions to make. I no longer need this outlet. I no longer want this outlet. It hasn’t been fun for me for a long while now and I’m sure y’all have noticed.

I can’t thank y’all enough for all years we spent together. A lot of y’all have been around since the beginning of this blog and have continued to follow me even after I switched fandoms and just know when I felt the loneliest I had ever been it was comforting to know y’all were here waiting for a silly little post from my dumb ass.

I love y’all so much. I’ll miss you. I’ll continue to watch 911 and love Eddie Diaz but just in the comfort of my own home (now that I’ve gotten a few irl besties obsessed with the show). Ill continue to be the funniest baddest bitch y’all have ever met but rip to y’all bc you won’t get to witness it anymore :/

I’ll be on for the last day of 2022 for one final day of shitposting before I log off one last time. I won’t be deactivating my blog bc I still get people who go through my posts and just in case I ever wanna pop back in (highly unlikely but you never know)

While I tried to scroll through my activity I did notice a lot of attention back on my shameless posts and new followers and I’m sorry y’all found me so late but I haven’t been an active part of that fandom since the show ended. I never even liked the show 😂 I was just here for Mickey

But I’ve been out of that fandom for ages now and this is a 911 blog BUT after today will remain inactive

You expressed perfectly how I miss buddie, and how the lack of them doesn’t make me enjoy s6 as I should. And I know it’s not the buddie show, it’s an ensemble cast etc… but their relationship is one of the most important on the show, seeing it disappear in s6 had made me really sad, I just hope we’ll get more of them in 6b, but honestly I’m not sure, people saying that even 5a was like this, but well nope, 5a had amazing long buddie scenes

Absolutely, I mean there’s a reason engagement with 6a has probably felt lackluster. Love it or hate it Buck and Eddie’s relationship is a mesmerizing facet of the show that draws a lot of people in.

And you’re right about 5a, it gave them the blackout scenes, the balcony scene, the hostage scene, etc.

9-1-1 has been my favorite show since it started airing, so obviously I love all the characters, they’re very close to my heart. But character dynamics are really what get me (and a lot of others) tuning in week to week, not the emergencies, bc it’s a show about the characters and they are so well fleshed out. So it’s perfectly fine to admit this! There is no shame in saying the season falls short for you bc of this! Erase the idea that being a buddie shipper is some major transgression in the eyes of the fandom that you have to hide or overcompensate for! Lack of a ship dynamic is the reason I frankly cannot stand 5a, bc Chimney is my favorite character and Madney is another couple where their absence is so strongly felt that it changes the viewing experience for me. A similar thing is happening with Buck and Eddie in 6a, even though neither of them are gone, but their scenes are not as frequent as they maybe should be and/or not as emotionally satisfying.

I’m eager to see what they do in 6b, bc I also do think Buck’s storyline will play a major role with the potential for some excellent scenes with Eddie. We will see!
