The fact that when I walk down the street past a group of men , I get things like “hey sexy!” Or “nice Ass!” Yelled at me.

The fact that I couldnt wear shorts at a family gathering at my house because it’s “unsafe” due to the fact men are going to be there. Despite the fact I was twelve at the time and related to these men my dad was still worried they would attack me. He was worried that they would attack me and yet he still invited them over. I spent that evening in jeans and a long sleeved shirt when it was the middle of summer, I was boiling and I didn’t want to talk to any of the people there because everyone was talking to the men that I was told may attack me, the men who were my family - who I feared

The fact that I’m told by my school that I can’t wear certain clothes because they will “distract the boys”

The fact that on my social media’s my DMs are from middle aged men complimenting me and saying that they find me attractive despite the fact I’ve only just turned fifteen years old.
