I never thought I’d have to make another gofundme, especially in the same year as our cat Grizz’s surgery fund and it breaks my heart to ask for your help again after you were all so wonderful to help save him, but we’re in desperate need of help again. :c I know this is super long but if you could please take the time to read our story I would be so grateful. ❤ Our Air Conditioner/Heat Pump unit broke down a few days ago.  Without this repair, our unit may still be leaking toxic Freon gas into our house and we wont have any air conditioning or heating this winter. 

We have discovered the company who sold us our unit, supposedly new, lied and sold us a used one with the serial numbers scraped off. The 10 year warranty they promised never existed and we are unable to make repairs. Its suspected to be a broken coil, which I have been estimated by a few places to be anywhere from $1,200-1,800 to replace not including labor costs. We don’t have any means of getting that amount of money.

The picture on the link above is the entire part that needs to be replaced and below are the missing serial numbers, more pictures are on gofundme. 

Before we knew what they had done we called them Monday August 30th to come make repairs with what money we had. They filled our AC with Freon without asking in advance, charged us $266 we didnt have, and only after said theres probably a leak we couldnt pay to fix.

Immediately after he left we turned on the air conditioner, within 15 minutes my air purifier pollution light turned red. It wouldn’t change back to blue, then I remembered the day our AC broke it had turned red then too. That’s when we put two and two together and realized our AC was pumping Freon throughout our house. We opened all the windows we could and turned off the AC. Refrigerant poisoning can be deathly serious over long periods of time especially for pets. We have cats. After we opened the windows and turned off the ac the air purifier light went back to blue after around 25-30 minutes. I hate to think what would have happened had we not had the purifier.

The company refuses to admit any blame or fault, and will not refund our money or stand by their warranty promise. 

It gets both very hot and very cold here in NC. Last winter even with the heat on the cats slept around the vents it got so cold. We truly have no idea what we’re going to do to. Besides us ourselves, our cats are small I dont know how either of us can handle it. Our oldest cat Sho is 20 years old this year. She has chronic dry eye and intestinal issues, Im afraid for her to be put through extreme temperatures.

I know times are hard on us all right now, and I am heartbroken that we have to ask for money during times like these. Im still in shock that so many wonderful people helped us fund surgery for our cat Grizz in April. You all saved his life. We are forever grateful. I am deeply sad and scared to find ourselves in the same money situation again. 

The fundraising amount is a placeholder as we have no idea how much this will be, hopefully itll be less than $2,000. As it is, all we know for sure is that its going to be over $1,200, just how much over we dont know. If we get donations to pay for the $175 visit and estimate we will post updates immediately. Just as when our Grizz had his surgery funded, we will post a written estimate if we can get one and we will post the receipt as soon as we get it. You all will be given any and all updates when we get them. If we do get the money for repair, we will stop the donations and announce it. We don’t want to take anyone’s money if its already paid for. If we somehow have a little extra left over after we get the bill it all will go towards other repairs around the house and those receipts will also be posted.

 If anyone has even a dollar to spare, we would be beyond thankful. We completely understand if anyone cant donate, we would be just as grateful if you would share our story. I was honestly going to give up posting on Tumblr, but I thought I’ll give it one more shot

Starting off with some random Mairon doodles. I haven’t drawn him properly in like 5 months now, so he looks different in every picture (I’ve forgotten how I usually draw him, plus style change in general, oopsy daisy)

1- Is of a sleep Mairon (before any kind of corruption or encounter with Melkor). I was just playing around with the concept with him with big ol’ angel wings, that look like they belong to a Phoenix. For literally no reason other than I wanted to draw feathers that day. He a sleep, good boi 🧡

2- was actually the concept art for 1. But he didn’t look like Mairon to me, some weird Mairon X Enowe hybrid, so idk what happened there, but I like em.

3- just a vent/unwind doodle. I was stressed and been playing with my markers a bunch recently (because I’m procrastinating and don’t wanna do anything digital this week)
