Gold Saints : where would they take you on a date ?

Aries Mu : in a quiet place in the nature. After a long walk in the mountains you'll sit in the grass in front of a cascade, next to a little water point.

Taurus Aldebaran : he will bring you to a football match, but if you don't like it you'll leave and walk around in the city.

Gemini Saga : in an arts museum. You won't need a guide because he'll all explain to you about artists and their creation. In the end he'll take you to a very sophisticated restaurant.

Cancer Deathmask : in a pub, but more a romantic one as a lounge. He will bring you flowers and chocolates.

Leo Aiolia : in a zoo. Roar.

Virgo Shaka : in a huge garden where there are topiaries and beds of flower. You'll just stay there and enjoy the moment together.

The french dub

It's more messy than in Saga's head.

In the beginning they believed that Shun was a girl so he has a girl voice. After some episodes they realized he's a male.

They did the same with Mu except that he keeps his female voice until the end of Poseidon arc.

After that it would not surprise you that Aphrodite has a female voice too.

In the first episodes they call the Sagittarius Cloth "the Golden Fleece".

Character name pronounciation :

Aiolia is called Aïor (pronounce it a-ee-au-r)

Mu is called : Mu with the "french" u, Mu with the "english" u, or Moooooow. It's like they didn't know how to pronounce it so it was depending on the mood of the day.

Shaina is called "shee-na"

Seiya is called "say-gar"

Shun is called "sean"

Freya transformed into "flamme" (flame), Io into Eo

Not really a problem but they pronounce Isaak like they are lots of s and a very short a, I've never heard french speaking people pronounce it like that outside of Saint Seiya.

Sorrento is called Sorente.

Voice actors are playing all the characters, there is no one actor for one character (except for Seiya and females in general). So it's really a mess especially when it comes to Gold Saints. Sometimes from one episode to another the character's voice has changed that's very confusing.

I would like to thank @elencelebrindal because I read one of your post about italian dub and I believed this mess with voice actors was something only related to french dub.

I was speaking with a friend about Saint Seiya Next Dimension and that's really weird. In fact I believed that ND was a kind of alternative universe for the 18th (like another dimension), and I read it several times on forums etc. In my head it was TLC : the actual 18th and ND : 18th alternative because of dimensions time rifts and so on. But my friend told me that it is the actual canon of Saint Seiya for the 18th, and that Lost Canvas is the alternative one.

I did some researches and I learned that both were published the same year. The story is that Mr Kurumada gave the outlines to Ms Teshirogi and said "do what you want". But I really don't understand why if it was to write something else next to it ? Ton be honest I'm uspet because I find TLC so well done especially the Gold Saints, they all have a good backstory.

I considered TLC canon and it's not. It kind of lost me into the Saint Seiya universe. Maybe some of you will clear this up.

What if: The LC gold saints come back to life to and they meet 20th century gold saints also see that the world have changed. (I always have that idea btw, And it’s fun to think about it) :)

Aries Shion : technically he knows the 20th century, but let’s think about what his youngself would.

- he would be VERY surprised that his oldself is the Pope. His youngself doesn’t imagine it at all, he tries at least to be a decent Gold Saint and sometimes that’s really hard.

- meeting Mu, knowing it’s his student, would surprised him too because he doesn’t consider himself as a good teacher. But he would be so proud because Mu is a very good Aries Saint (and a good teacher too).

Taurus Rasgado :

- he’s proud that the Taurus Gold Saints keep naming themselves Aldebaran.

- he would really like 20th century Aldebaran

- they would do an arm wrestling and after go barhopping together

Gemini Aspros :

- he wouldn’t like Saga because he has too much integrity, because he’s a nice guy.

- he would certainly try to awake the bad Saga if he comes to know his existence.

- but in a way he would be impressed by what Saga achieved (becoming the Pope and deceive everyone for a long time).

Cancer Manigoldo :

- he would be very upset by the lack of respect of Deathmask, especially for the Pope and Athena. Would curse and yell at him.

- what he hates above all is Death so he would really hate Deathmask who loves it.

Leo Regulus :

- they won’t get along well

- he would consider Aiolia as his big brother but wouldn’t understand why the 20th century Saint rejects him

- eventually Aiolia would become his rolemodel

Virgo Asmita :

- lots of respect between these two.

- they would speak about things like spirituality, being a Gold Saints, doubts.

Libra Dohko :

- he would be amazed that is oldself is still full of spirit

- his oldself would reminds him Rasgado in the way he teaches his student.

Scorpio Kardia :

- he would find Milo too serious, too much of a goody two-shoes

- he would find the usefulness of Scarlet Needle (used for redemption) ridiculous.

- he would certainly try to beat Milo.

Sagittarius Sysiphus :

- he would be seriously amazed by Aiolos, above all by his sacrifice.

- he would be almost self-conscious next to him.

- but he would feel uncomfortable with the behaviour of Aiolos outside of his Gold Saint duties.

Capricorn El Cid :

- he would be satisfied with Shura’s Excalibur, he would congratulate him

- he would be honored by the sense of justice of Shura

- they would play chess together

Aquarius Degel :

- the two Aquarius Saint would get along very well

- they would compare their freezing skills

- he would ask Camus about books of the 19th and 20th century

Pisces Albafica :

- he would hate Aphrodite because of he’s who he is.

- they wouldn’t argue about beauty because Albafica doesn’t care at all, even if Aphrodite tries to.

- he would not fear staying next to Aphrodite and poison him

I would add that imho Camus rejecting all emotions is because he's overwhelmed by them. And yes Hyoga shows him that you can use emotions for the good without being completely disturbed by them.

And Hyoga completely evolved on this point between the two scenes : in the Sanctuary arc he gives Camus credit because that's why he lose in the Libra temple. And in Hades you can see he has learned a lot particularly after his battle against Isaac (which kind of resolve his trauma, at least partly).

One more time the disciple has surpassed his master.

Anyway I big brained and realised that  Hyoga and Camus have a scene that parallel each other in the Sanctuary and Hades arc. 

The scene that I’m talking about is the one where Hyoga is almost dead, weak, and defensless while he layed on the floor after getting attacked by Camus at the Libra temple. What does Camus do while he sees Hyoga in this state? He kicks him and uses freezing coffin on him.

Now we move to the Hades arc in the Inferno chapter (i think i may be wrong) and Camus is in a similar position to Hyoga but unlike Camus Hyoga instead tried to help him and hugged him as he thanos snapped away (im so sorry for using that idk what else to call it)

What got my attention in both scenes was the way on originally Camus always insisted on Hyoga leaving his compassion and all other emotions behind in order for him to awaken to the seventh sense. But after both of his encounters with Camus Hyoga still kept his emotions and used them as a motivator throughout the rest of the episodes up until the Hades arc. So during that scene of Hyoga being kind to Camus in the state he was I internally thought of it as Hyoga subtly showing that his compassion towards those he cared about never stopped him or got him killed and instead made him stronger.

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m not really good at writing but if you need me to elaborate more please feel free to ask!

Visit the Gold Saints houses : Mu and Aldebaran (part I)

Disclaimer : this is not meant to be their real house in the Sanctuary, it’s more a modern version of where they would live, taking into account their personalities.

As there’s a lot of pictures I’ll do this in several parts.

Part I : House and common places

The inspiration is Mu’s house in Jamir, but with the wall covering of Ancient Greek temples.

The octogonal part is the base of the house, while the rectangle is more like an outbuilding. There is a balcony and a garden.

When you enter the house, you find yourself in a large open room, which groups the living room, the dinner room and the kitchen. The light is dimmed and the color scheme around taupe so it gives a very calm and relaxing feeling.

The living room is very colorful. The coffee table’s shape recalls the one of the house. There is a sofa for each Saint, including the little orange one for Kiki.

The round lunch table is very simple, with a tea pot on its center.

Evidently there is a library, and a little zen corner.

The green stairs lead to Mu’s apartments...

The kitchen is sober yet welcoming because of the kitchen islands with their burgundy cushion bar stools. The two windows give light to the breakfast.

This big wooden door leads to Aldebaran’s apartments, which is the outbuilding I talked about earlier.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

What if Tatsumi and Kido were very kind to the kids, especially Ikki?

Honestly I think that if they were very kind, the Bronze would be less prepared for the Saint training. Simply when you see the masters they are not very kind too. They also would be less revolted, especially Ikki !

But after all, Ikki's behaviour is also part of his personnality, it's not only from the fact that they mistreated him so he would be rebel as well. But he would be more warm and less a loner for sure. He would have more confidence in humanity. He wouldn't turn bad and between battle he would stay with the other Bronze Saints. But maybe he would easier fall into Kaça's trap ! Traumatisms are hard to handle but when it becomes a force, like in Ikki's case, you can do so much things.

I also think that if they were very kind they wouldn't send poor little kids to very hard training haha.
