Lance hadn’t meant to end up here. His parents probably hadn’t meant to meet Ulaz either. But here he was sat across from his Galra Dad? Parent? Relative? He still was unclear on how Ulaz came into how he was born but he was too scared to ask the stoic Galra and mortified to ask his parents which one of them got busy with an alien.

One thing was certain, that was, his teeth were a little too sharp to be a human and his body, at the ripe age of twenty-six was ending some weird and inexplicable Galra puberty. That left him slightly too tall to match the lanky McClain clan (and other strange and unspeakable changes like kind of pointy ears or a tail that Lance preferred to keep wrapped up under his pants, most concerning about this was that Ulaz did not appear to have one).

As inspired by this post by @metalotaku-da, a shklance omegaverse AU in which it takes three endotypes to produce a child (one provides the seed, one provides the egg, and one carries the child to term). 

Cue the shklance dynamic in which Keith is rising through the ranks of the Marmora mercenary guild with starting a family the last thing on his mind, Lance wants a child to secure his legacy as one of the most informed and connected socialites in the city, and Shiro, a prisoner of war turned slave, bought on the whim of the very wealthy (very whiny) omega queen, quietly plotting the way back home.

Shiro couldn’t help but grin, crossing his arms as he lounged against the wall and watched Lance work it out in the gym. It wasn’t even just that Lance was his boyfriend, and that those tiny little athletic shorts and loose tanks left almost nothing to the imagination. Lance really had been improving, his wiry frame starting to define and fill with muscle over months of work and Shiro was proud of him as his leader, too.

He wanted to tell him that, give him pointers, run his hands up the back of Lance’s shirt and feel those muscles shift beneath the skin. But, Lance didn’t know he was there, his headphones firmly over his ears as he slowly pulled himself up and down at the pullup bar. That was fine though, Shiro could wait. It wasn’t exactly a hardship to watch the sweat bead up across Lance’s glowing skin, his hair curling at the temples.

Eventually though, Lance did stop, pulling the headphones down around his neck so he could push his sweaty bangs off his forehead.

“Looking good, Lance,” Shiro called, laughing a little when Lance jumped in surprise before shooting him a brilliant smile.

“Shiro, I didn’t know you were here.” Lance bounded over to Shiro, resting his hands on Shiro’s chest so he could brace against him for a kiss.
