for those who live in fairly liberal states, especially states that had access to legal abortions before roe v wade, please stop yourself from having the mindset of “this won’t effect me, it’s not my fault people in *insert state here* are conservative” because that’s not the take you think it is. while those states may be red, that doesn’t mean there aren’t people there that still deserve access to safe abortions. this is a problem for us all.

Saying things like "voting doesn't help, stop telling people to vote" is literally sooooooooo harmful. If more people voted for Hillary we would not have a conservative majority on the court right now and this literally would not be happening. Voting is not THE ONLY solution, but is one of the most helpful things we can always do to prevent shit like this from happening. Stop telling people it doesn't matter. It does matter. Vote.

When I retire, I think I would really love to be remembered for my words. You know you see these artists who their lyrics are quoted or their words, or how they felt about life is quoted and revisited by the younger generations. And I don’t know, it might be nice to end up with my face on like a Urban Outfitters t-shirt or something 60 years from now.
