Dhoom 2 (2006) random appreciation post.

• Aryan's thorough, well-prepared and curious personality.

For his next robbery in Rio de Janeiro, along with his other preparations, he also takes out time to read the history of the place and understand the backstory as much as possible.

Here, he can be seen reading the book 'The Conquest of the Incas' , referring to the Inca civilization in the region centuries ago. Be it for direct use in his robbery plan or just for general knowledge, Aryan surely leaves no stone unturned in his prep for any robbery. Plus, he loves gaining knowledge about everything he can to either satiate his thirst for information or to have an upper hand, or both.

This is a mere few second scene in the song 'My Name is Ali' within the movie, but it tells a lot about Aryan's nature, personality and mindset!

So, though Aryan is a lone international thief, this is how he stays up-to-date with everything - he reads a lot! About the past, present and future!

Dhoom 2 (2006) random appreciation post.

• Aryan brings Sunheri her preferred meal.

Aryan is a good cook and brings their food to the table, well aware that Sunheri prefers heavy, carb rich foods instead of light foods, and brings burger for her and pasta for him. He takes care of her choices and preferences.

But this time, Sunheri rather makes the healthy choice and takes the pasta plate from him instead, gradually becoming health conscious living with Aryan, or just for a change.

He doesn't resist or anything, actually enjoys it. And then exchanges their drinks as well. Giving the healthy red wine to her and taking her coke. Her expression is amusing as she didn't expect that.

Both of them then enjoy each other's meal in a playful quality time. This is a short scene in the song 'My name is Ali' from the movie, but it speaks volumes about their developing bond and dynamic.

I've never imagined/seen MCU Stephen Strange as a f*ckboy or a womanizer who prioritises temporary material pleasure of making-out. As I see it, being a genius, science nerd, he never had any time as such to involve with women (& the world of flirt, dating, breakup-patchup, convincing each other etc) from his puberty itself. He considered it a waste of his time and not his cup of tea. It doesn't mean girls/women never tried to woo him, he just never paid attention to any of that. He talked with them kindly, normally as classmates, colleagues but nothing more than that. And given his childhood family issues, his sister's death, that determined him even more to be the greatest doctor he can be, to be a genius in everything he can. It wasn't physical needs he ever looked for, but mental & emotional connection with a woman. He didn't desperately wait for 'the' woman, he was okay with whenever she'll come in his life & didn't even think about it that often. He was open to the future as it naturally unfolds. For me, Stephen Strange has always been this loyal, deeply and passionately loving, and caring person regarding his romantic life. He never dated or even looked at any woman lovingly before Christine, upon whom he poured his entire soul on due of love. His ego and narcissism did get in the way many times, no doubt about that, so he kept improving himself. He knew if it has to be anyone, it's Dr. Christine Palmer. It hurts me sometimes to see him often portrayed by fans as a womanizer who dated many times or who always makes out with christine wherever & whenever possible. Idk about comic Stephen but definately mcu Stephen is not like that. MCU Stephen has morals and ethics to live by, and deep unending romantic love he will only ever give to one person, he cannot imagine sharing it amoung different women. He's simply not built like that.

Background interior relates to sanctum (or any of their apartment bedroom). So this scene can take place either before Stephen becomes a sorcerer at any of their apartment bedroom OR after he becomes sorcerer at the NY sanctum bedroom.

Christine is still in her hospital uniform (or let's say she changed to comfy home clothes) and the man's face is not visible so let's assume that Stephen has held her very close to him and they're heading to their bed, for a lovely beautiful night, safe in each other's arms as all their exhaustion, worries, tiredness, tension dissolves into the cool breeze of the night!

Dune (2021)

Loved the movie very much. It's magnificent! It's grand! Haven't read the books, yet understood the story so well because everything is perfect! Storyline, character arc, cinematography, the location frames, acting, bg music, direction, script. Highlight of Dune for me :

Duke Leto Atreides. Lady Jessica. Soulmates!

Their love for each other is so profound & unshakeable. They share deep & emotional connection & intimacy that doesn't necessarily need words or physical touch. Even just their expressions & body language are enough to show how much they love each other & mean to each other. The holding hands, head touch, hand on shoulder/neck, gentle forehead massage at night lying on her lap, the deep lovely gazes.. all these minute but impactful things are way more full of emotions & affection & love than any teenage love making scenes.

Jessica broke the order of thousands of years of her galactic sisterhood to give Leto a son out of their love, willingly, whereas she was told to give daughters. And Leto stayed devotedly loyal to her, even though they weren't officially married as he kept option of marriage open for political alliance in case of necessity, and treated her exactly like a queen, gave power & privileges, never made her feel otherwise.

I read a comment on youtube fan edit video as 'Paul isn't the reason they both love each other, he's the result of it'. I mean, wow! That's so deep given their story.

This is the most mature love story I've seen in a long time. This isn't any teenage/young adult steamy romance or such with lot of fluff & physicality. It has depth of understanding and emotion. They know the responsibilities they've individually & collectively, for their family, for their House & support each other through it.

I'm a tiny bit sad that they didn't get more screentime together. Even if future films are about Paul & Chani, I heavily needed more Jessica+Leto here in this one. Also, a scene with all 3 of them (Leto, Jessica & Paul) having good, quality family time would've been so special & unforgettable (either over dining table during mealtime or in bedroom at night with hugs, cuddles, talks, discussions, chats; would've shown their loving family life & dynamic other than their political & social life, probably at Caladan where it was bit more relaxed).

Even if the entire movie was only about Leto+Jessica, I'd have gladly watched it multiple times <33333

• campaigning in a forest/on a mountain on a winter/rainy day as both love quiet nature places

• watching a movie together, snuggled together in a cosy blanket on a cold winter night

• (old &/or new) avengers come to meet stephen at the sanctum and thus meet christine as well

• exploring/visiting (tourist) places with the portal not easily accessible without it

• stephen teaching christine basics of mystic art

• christine teaching masters at kamar-taj basics of emergency first aid, esp. after fight with wanda

• christine and cloaky teasing stephen

• after dormammu fight in 2016 & battle of earth in 2023, both times he first straight goes to christine to see her

Just bcos it's a spiderman movie doesn't mean Peter (& his friends) needs to be shown cool & smart than the one & only Doctor Strange, in NWH!

About mirror dimension. Like seriously? All the sorcerers till now used & defeated enemies in this "simple" region, easily understood & mastered in just one go, with math!? By a teenage kid? It's meant to be a complex area, reflective of our own world, difficult to comprehend by any non-sorcerer, which benefits the opener.

Finally, about Ned opening portal. Omg this one. When we've people from all walks of life practising opening portal using sling ring at Kamar-Taj for weeks (if not months!) & our own Stephen (a genius) opening a portal after trying at least 10 times, we've Ned opening it much quicker than that, without introduction to basic spells & handwork. Isn't it dangerous then if the sling ring falls into the hands of any common person if it's "so" easy to open a portal?

Idk why I felt many times throughout NWH that Strange wasn't shown at his best (even in MoM) & that his expertise in magic was often overpowered by Peter's cleverness or his friends.

These days whenever palmerstrange gives me an unbearable heartache, I go back to my original otp, the first couple of mcu - pepperony! And it calms me down & makes me smile again, as they got comparatively positive storyline than the first one (though marvel could've kept tony alive, show him to retire from superhero life permanently & live with fam at a lake side house, even if they never wanted to show the character again, no need to kill him & make pep widow; I'll never forgive mcu for that).

So going back to pepperony & refilling myself with their deep love & affection, my hopes get back the strength that a faithful day *will* come when we'll get palmerstrange as endgame (both 616!)
