With how people are reacting to Annette’s character just shows that y’all are lying about wanting meaner or complex female characters. And also about the MCs love interest having a personality and life outside of him.

You’d think that y’all would try to understand why she acts the way she does. Y’all have no problem understanding and sympathising when it’s a male character, but suddenly don’t when it’s a woman.

All this girl has known most of her life is slavery. Even after escaping at the age of 16 she had to become a warrior cause she and her people couldn’t afford to sit around and wait. Nobody was going to come save them so they had to do it themselves. She didn’t get the chance to have a happy and somewhat normal childhood, so of course she wouldn’t be sunshine and rainbows. All she knows is to take action.

So sorry she didn’t take it so well that the man she was told to find literally ran away during mid battle. And I’m not invalidating Richter’s trauma at all, I understand why he reacted that way. But I also understand why Annette reacted the way she did. Nobody is wrong in this situation, but people act like one of them is the biggest scum for it.
