Domestic Violence, 2023, gouache on paper.

It's been a while. I actually painted this last month but I wanted to try out Glaze (which took 2-3 hours and left a red mark on my painting). After that, the image was left on my laptop for a while as I didn't know what to do with it. I've been very busy and stressed in my personal life so I haven't done as much art as I would have liked, and I keep seeing A! art everywhere which makes me feel depressed.

And yes this is referenced from the End of Evangelion, but I wanted to try a different composition to the one they used in the film. Also the title is such because there will be (at some point) a corresponding painting named, "Domestic Bliss".

Hi everyone, thank you so much for all the likes and supportive comments on my recent painting - it really means a lot to me! I've been making art for a while, but none of my pieces have gained any traction before, so I feel really moved by everyone's comments.

It's hard balancing art with a full-time job, but seeing so much encouragement from everyone gives me a lot of joy and I want to continue making and sharing art! I have so many ideas for fanart and original art that I want to work on!

My goal is to eventually make enough pieces to sell at a convention later this year. I'm looking into making prints but I currently don't have access to a scanner so I'm trying to find somewhere to do high quality scans!

Originally I was thinking of tabling at MCM London or Hyperjapan, but I heard it's becoming really hard to be accepted for MCM's artist alley, even for established artists. So if anyone has any ideas for starter-friendly conventions in the UK please let me know!
