you know tumblr is such an easy platform to make friends as opposed to real life. like, one day, a blog reblogs your post & you decide to check them out, you find the user cool so you send them a few asks & you guys talk & then you follow each other & become mutuals & then you guys just become a source of positivity in each other’s lives like from positive text posts to hyping up each other’s works to insulting each other when necessary to ranting like it’s so simple & the mutuals you meet are like the most kindest people on earth & actually give you hope in this world that people like this actually exist. & the best part is that some mutuals don’t even see each other’s faces & still love each other to death & encourage you & support you & compliment you & just make you feel like the most special being on earth & im just wow fortunate to know that I have so many mutuals who are sources of sunshine who make me happy just by existing

Winx Club related rant

Warning: long ass post by an outdated former winx club fan. Just need to get this out of my system.

I started watching Winx Club when I was 7 and I LOVED it so much to the point I own all the magazines, graphic novels (which were just a compilation of the magazine stories but I bought them anyway just because), stand alone story books and sticker books. I still remember the time when Enchantix was the shit! Me and my friends would exchange those stickers and created our very own cringey OCs complete with sappy cliche backstory. By the time Season 4 came out I was in high school. Still excited to watch it because it somewhat has a decent plot I guess. Then after that there was another season. It was a big deal because Nickelodeon aired it but I stopped mid Season 5 because the story didn’t interest me much (there was harmonix and a triton bad guy? eh? In a way, I grew out of it) so I moved on. That’s it. Never heard or bothered about Winx Club… until today.

SO imagine my surprise when I was at the mall and a really glittery, extremely colourful shopping bag caught my eye. At first I thought it was just some of those bootlegged Bratz Doll merchandise but upon inspection I saw the Winx Club logo and I was like

WINX CLUB?!?!!? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ART STYLE??!! WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THAT HUMANIZED MLP-LIKE SHOW’S STYLE?? ANOTHER NEW TRANSFORMATION??? IF IT IS IT HAS DEFINITELY DOWNGRADED THOSE WINGS ARE HORRENDOUS!!!! Immediately googled it when I went home and found out there will be a season 8! WOW! Completely revamped with brand new art style! Also did a brief research on ALL the transformations that I’ve missed out! There were so MANY! Some designs are pretty cool I have to admit but just like other old winx club fans (whose opinions I’ve also ‘researched’ on, yes I have no life) where winx should have ended at Season 4 or Season 3 + the movie. I feel the same because Season 3 + the movie is basically end game:

Conclusion to solving the long mystery of Bloom’s lost kingdom & parents. (Main plot: the whole show focuses on Bloom that’s why the show was initially planned to be named Magical Bloom #fact)

Everyone’s ready to settle down and run their own kingdoms. I would prefer the new seasons showing us their lives as queens or adults other than the endless transformations they get every season. Let’s not forget the generic villains who ‘conveniently’ recruit the Trix. Every. Single. Time.

Already earned their final fairy form, Enchantix with Believix being an exception I’ll explain now:

Season 4 is a nice addition to the grand ending since it gives the viewers a glimpse of the characters’ lives on what new adventures they are up to after graduating much like the cursed child addition to the HP series. Villains of season 4 were also a fresh change from the usual new villain who just recruits the trix to do their bidding. Eg. earth fairies and wizards of the black circle! Decent plot & lore too! Enough to make me stick around. With season 4 as the finale, everything would be wrapped up nicely with a bow before saying goodbye forever, an extra treat that leaves fans a sweet memory of the show that will be missed whenever they are reminded of it every now and then. Ha. No. Here have more redundant transformations!!

Personally, I think the Believix designs should be replaced with the Bloomix design. Honestly, the Believix designs look like normal civilian clothes dipped in glitter. By replacing them with Bloomix designs, the transition looks much more pleasant and they ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE FAIRIES. At a glance, Bloomix appears to be a rare ‘new’ transformation with a design that actually matches with character’s said personality and powers! At least there’s some variation unlike the latest ones where its just a copy and paste job with different colour schemes. Eg. Sirenix, tynix, harmonix, ok lets make it easier, all the latest ones..

Here’s a side by side comparison if we take Bloomix design as Believix. The transition looks more believable as it maintains the same theme: Flowy skirts/ ribbons, dainty, mystical wings, dreamy sleeves etc. The whole Bloomix design gives off an all-powerful-yet-elegant-fairy/goddess-feel that is worthy of its predecessor, Enchantix. Therefore, a great design for a higher fairy form (Believix) that is suppose to surpass the former ‘established so-called final form’ as told by Faragonda. It was the final form! I can never get over this.<<EDIT: Specifically one line from the enchantix song of the CGI movie literally says “My powers will be at the MAXIMUM” MAXIMUM!! Its at the max!>> Of course others can argue at the beginning of season 4 Faragonda did say “OH once you reach enchantix don’t stop there because.. uh.. constant improvement!” which was the writer’s attempt to tell us “hey! there’s more transformations despite the fact we told you in the earlier season it was the last. so.. here it is!” Ok lets say Believix (with Bloomix design ) is the last and final God-tier form. The end. I can still accept it! A perfect way to end a show in my opinion.. but NooooOOOoooo ~ Cue 4 more seasons accompanied by new forms which are mandatory to defeat the new bad guy.. its getting stale.

TLDR: Winx club is not winx club anymore.. but there are new viewers who enjoy them so its ok. Its just not meant for the old viewers. goodbye

alright here we go. prepare to be offended because i have strong opinions on my girls

Love:

Magic Winx: simple, clean cut, individualized. Tecna’s is a little eh just cus of the head gear. decent about of pants(or do they all technically have shorts on?)

Bloomix: elegant but (mostly)practical, the color schemes aren’t eye searingly bad either. (all of them are in pants technically i have no complaints)

Harmonix: THE WHOOSH cute, a little matchy matchy and i hate the leg ribbons but over all p good (needs more pants)

Meh

(controversy time) Enchantix and 3D enchantix: Its not BAD persay, i just dont understand some of the outfit/color choices and some of the colors are…………………….questionable. needs more pants and less gloves.

(basically the same but wtf is going on with aisha’s skirt here, also side note: i like the transformation sequences in the movie a lot)

Charmix is just………… the less good version of Magic winx. (the broaches are meh the bags are just BAD what do they USE THEM FOR) still the same amount of pants.

Believix: Believix has weirdly grown on me???? like…… its terrible……. but i still some how love it??? so it’s in the meh section. Transformation sequences are actually really fun! (3 pants 3 skirt equality at it’s finest)

Believix 3D: basically the same. the transformation sequence in the movie is…. annoying.

Sophix: pretty! needs more pants tho. and aisha need more coverage im sorry girl

Lovix: pls explain how this would keep you warm ladies. idk just kind of weird shapes.

Dreamix and Onyrix are basically the same thing and i don’t have strong opinions on them (good pants level)

actually i think i like dreamix better than onyrix.

Neo Enchantix: BAD COLORS BAD BAD SO BAD. otherwise ok i guess? needs more pants put those shorts back on musa right now or so help me

Cosmix: decent? a little matchy matchy(especially the wings ew) but…. eh? some really good colors and some very very bad ones bloom and some…..specific…….collars…………………are……………………………….bad STELLA NEEDS MORE PANTS. ASTRONAUTS WEAR PANTS OK.

Neo Sirenix: i like the scale texture on the tunics and the gold jewelry but everybody looks the same so booooooooooooo bad winx. (pants??? leggings???? i counted bloomix as pants so these are pants now)

HATE

Sirenix: look ok i don’t know WHY but sirenix is like one of my least favorite transformation even though i love the transformation SEQUENCE and the SONG. The colors are too bright and clashy. the ruffly skirts are obnoxious.the arm ribbons are weird. and they all look the same its awful. ALSO THE WINGS ARE BAD. Are these pants or leggings or long legged swim suits.

Sirenix 3D: the hair colors just make it worse tbh.

Crystal Sirenix; ?????????? i don’t know whats happening here. some one explain. please. im so confused. also has any one complained about some of the snow flake placements being centered RIGHT on their boobs yet because thats design no-no 101

Butterflix: like. aesthetically. butterflix isn’t THE WORST the dresses are decently pretty, but as a transformation its SO BORING. also some ruffle placements are not good. ALSO I HATE THE TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE WHAT THE HELL IS THAT WIGGLE DANCING. tbh this is going lower than it probably would if it had a normal transformation sequence. NEEDS MORE PANTS.

Mythix: tacky middle school dance? tacky middle school dance. NEEDS MORE PANTS. the wings are kinda pretty tho.

Tynix: tynix just……… hurts my eyes…….. so much…. i like the idea of long sleeves and tights in a transformation but the bedazzled mini dresses…… are just….. not very good. needs more pants? i think those are tights so yeah needs more pants.
