It says something about the state of the Tory government that the Prime Minister can't find anyone in his parliamentary party (currently 350 MPs) to become Foreign Secretary, so he has to enoble a disgraced former PM (is there any other kind?) in order to appoint him to the post.

Not quite sure how it works on the scrutiny side of things either. Can he even speak, or be questioned about Foreign policy in the House of Commons? If not, his deputy is going to be very busy indeed.

What's sad is that somehow Suella Braverman will find a way to blame the police for the violence coming today from the right-wing counter-protesters (led by Tommy Robinson and his EDL bunch) to the (so far) peaceful march in London today.

Nothing at all to do with her dog-whistle politics, or her article to incitement in The Times (which the right wing groups have cited as their reason for coming to London).

Just once I'd like this government to do something for the benefit of the country, and not their own personal and professional agendas.
