Regarding relationships: queerplatonic, romantic but not sexual, pre-relationship...: go for it!

However, a work that would be tagged A&B such as friends or family, no; it's a shippy and not gen event.

Ok, I've tried to figure this out a few times but I just can't seem to understand the mechanics of this event. Is this about creating new art/fic for rarepairs? If we have a wip that hasn't been published anywhere, can we toss it in? Or are we only submitting/claiming prompts? Sorry, I'm new to this.

It is about creating new art & fic for rarepairs, but an unpublished WIP counts as a new work :D

People can submit finished art and fic, but in most cases it will be a draft/sketch. For submissions, a sketch is enough, or 500 words for fic. Of course, it has to be finished when posting (around mid-May) :D

Hey there! I've been wondering what happens if I sign up and no one else is interested in the rare pair I'm offering for this exchange? Did anyone ever end up in this situation?

Hello!

It can happen in bangs! So far it hasn't in bangs i've organised, but it's always a possibility, just like sometimes, the partner you're collaborating with has to drop out for whatever reason. In that case, if it's still early, a pinch-hitter might be found!

Claimants will be asked to name several works they'd like to collaborate on (more than they actually want) to give me a bit of a leeway in matching. For example, Claimant C likes slides A1, F2, F4, and F5; Claimant D likes A1, A3, F2, F3; both want to collaborate on 2 slides. Both claimants have 2 slides in common they like, A1 and F2, but thanks to them giving me 4 slides each, i can match A1, F2, and two others! Sometimes, there can also be more art and fic slides that can be claimed, due to the number of claimants. It doesn't mean that no one likes the unmatched slides, but simply that there are more slides than claims possibilities.

If there is a need, once participants who signed up have claimed and matches have been made, i will open claims to other people who did not sign up, but might be interested in slides that couldn't be matched.

But no, i can't give you a 100% certainty that all slides will absolutely matched, only that i'll do my best to do so.

(I've participated in other exchanges where the mods would assign betas, or betas claimed their works, if the writer didn't have one.) If not, I'll go looking for one when the time comes.
