Run.
RUN!
Don’t stop running, even if your legs give out, get up and run again.
You chanted this desperately as you tore threw the village, dodging frightened villagers and jumping over small carts and even children. You were desperate. He wouldn’t hurt them, but there was no telling what he’d do to you if he caught you. Once you believed that he would never hurt you, as he would only treat you with the utmost gentleness and respect. He’d softly grab your hand and press a chaste kiss to the palm of it. He never kissed the top of it. You remember jokingly asking him about it, and he got quiet. Noticing the seeming drop in his mood, you tried to change the subject, but he stopped you. Looking you dead in your eyes, the seriousness in his eyes and voice made your pulse quicken. He looked down at your hand, still in his. “I’ve kissed past partners on the top of their hands,” he rubbed your palm with his thumb. “This is our thing though. This is reserved for you only, and it always will be.” You remember not really knowing how to react or what to say. He smiled at you, and you returned it. You remembered how special it made you feel, how loved.
Things were different now, and you couldn’t help but think of the word love as you turned a corner. It left a bitter taste in your mouth. Perhaps love existed, and perhaps, you experienced it with him at one point. However, that point has long passed, and it would never come back. He’s already done too much. The blood, the unusual dead look on his face, the strange glow in his eyes. That look in his eyes, that was the scariest part. You’ve had your fair share of watching people become mutilated. You’ve had your fair share of blood, and deadpan faces. Not with him, he was never like that. He was never so cold. He literally RADIATED heat. It was…. terrifying. You focused on the entrance of the village, the silhouette of a very tall man stood in the center. It was too tall to be Kyoujurou, which made your heart sing for joy. Seeing Kyoujurou would be too much for you. He’s not him, not who he was. Not who he really is.
No. You stopped that thought as soon as it popped into your mind. No, Kyoujurou was probably always like that. You just never noticed until it had come to a boiling point, and he spilled over. Shaking your head, you push for the entrance despite your screaming legs. The figure turned to look at you with surprise and you noticed it to be Tengen Uzui. A long-time friend of yours and Kyoujurou’s. You stopped dead in your tracks as his eyes fell on you. You knew you were in pretty bad shape, scratches and cuts on your hands, feet, and face from when you fell trying to climb over the wall surrounding the Flame Estate. Trying to get away from Kyoujurou.
You looked around warily, ready to run in case the fiery-headed man showed his face. Uzui covered the distance quickly and approached you with an overly concerned face. “(Y/N)? What happened to you? What’s going on?” He grabbed your hand lifting your arms to check the bruises and cuts covering them and your legs. “I-I… I don’t even k-know T-Tengen. Kyou… Kyoujurou is d-different. He did something b-bad… bad. He did something bad, Tengen,” you sobbed, struggling to breathe. He let go of your arms and pulled your face into his hands, “(Y/N), Darling, breathe. In and out.” He gently rubbed a cut on your cheek with his thumb as he looked at your face. You nodded shakily and took deep breaths. You glanced up at him with bloodshot eyes and he smiled softly at you. He nodded slowly and took your hand. “Hey, let’s get you out of here. I’ll walk you back to the Flame Estate and I’ll talk to Kyoujurou myself. I’ll give him a stern talking to for scaring you like this. Totally unflashy of him.” Your eyes widened and you dug your heels into the ground in panic. He looked back at you with a surprised and questioning glance. Your breathing had spiked up again and you were violently shaking your head. He held his hands out in front of you, “Okay… Okay, It’s okay. You can come home with me instead.” You breathed deeply just like he had instructed before and slowly nodded. Your face was glued to the ground in shame. “Hey, there’s no need to be shy or ashamed. We’re going to figure this out, Okay? Let’s get you back to my estate and then we can talk,” he lifted your head so that you were looking directly at him. “Good girl now let’s go,” he ended with a kiss on your forehead before grabbing your hand and heading out of the village.
 -
By the time the two of you had made it to his estate, the night had fallen. You glanced around quickly. You were terrified. Kyoujurou could come out of those dark woods at ANY time, and you wouldn’t know until it was too late. Tengen must’ve noticed your skittishness as he held you closer to him before looking around himself. The two of you walked onto the engawa and he turned to you. “When we get in here, I’m going to show you where the hot springs are, and we’ll get you clean.” You looked up at him and nodded, “Okay, Tengen. Thank you.” Your voice was quiet and hoarse. He smiled softly and opened the door before pushing you in slowly with his hand before looking around once more and following you.
Tengen’s wives ran into the room, excited to greet their husband. They stopped once they say you and concern flashed in their eyes before they all hurried over to you. “(Y/N), oh my goodness, what happened to you,” Hinatsuru looked you over. Makio and Suma sharing frightened expressions behind her. “I-I had a fight with Kyoujurou, a really bad fight. No, he didn’t hurt me. It’s just a difficult situation,” you smiled at them sadly. They looked at each other with an emotion you couldn’t catch. Tengen stepped forward, “Hey girls, could y’all get some food for me and (Y/N)?” All four of them shared a look before they nodded and walked away to the kitchen. He smiled at you, “Okay, (Y/N). Wait right here real quick.” Before you could retaliate, he was gone after the girls. You looked around the room nervously. Even though you knew you were safe, you were still shaken up. You jumped as Tengen suddenly appeared beside you with soap, washcloths, and towels. He smiled at you comfortingly before grabbing your hand, “Come now, Let’s get you clean.”
Your fear heightened when he led you back outside to a lit path behind his mansion heading into the woods. Your hand tightened around his and he gave yours a comforting squeeze, “You’re safe. I promise.” You nodded and the two of you continued. Eventually you came to a gate with walls. He opened the gate and led you inside. A hot spring stood in the middle of the ground lit up by bright lights. He closed the gate behind the two of you and pulled you to the edge of the hot spring, where he turned around to allow you to undress yourself. You were nervous, of course because you were still scared, but also because you were about to take a bath with Uzui, which you had never done. Your mind went dark as you imagined how Kyoujurou would react if he found you here, naked, and alone with Tengen. You shook the thought from your head and stepped into the warm water. Immediately your body relaxed, and your muscles screamed with relief. Once your entire body, up to below your shoulders, was submerged in the water, you turned to Tengen. “O-okay, you can turn around now.” He nodded and turned around while smiling at you. The two of you stood still as the water around. He smirked, “I mean, if you want to watch me undress, just say that.” You gasped as a blush fought its way to your face and you looked away, shamefully. He chuckled and undressed before climbing into the water beside you.
Smiling, he grabbed the washcloths and soap. He dipped the cloth into the water before lathering soap on it and beckoning for you to come to him. You hesitantly complied and made your way to him. He motioned for you to turn around and you did. Laying the cloth across your right shoulder, he gently scrubbed the dirt and sweat from your skin. Gliding the cloth slowly over your shoulder, he moved to the nape of your neck before moving it to your other shoulder. You sighed as he washed the dirt from your upper back before he dropped to clean the rest of your back. Turning you around, he gently washed your face, making sure to be extra soft with your cuts. His eyes moved from looking down at your cheek to make contact with yours which caused a blush to spread on your cheeks. He smiled and brought the washcloth to your neck and collar bone, cleaning them. Your breath hitched as he moved the soapy cloth to your breasts. He glanced up at you, asking for permission. You hesitated before nodding. Gently, he moved the cloth over your right breast, scrubbing softly, before doing the same for the left one. He grabbed your hand and set the cloth in your hand.
“I’ll let you do the rest,” he smiled encouragingly. You nodded and turned to wash the rest of your body while he washed his. After washing your tummy, arms, legs, and nether regions you turned back to him, ringing out the soap in the cloth. He was finishing by the time you had set the cloth aside and he did the same thing. He held his arms out and you complied, approaching him, and allowing yourself to be held by him. He rubbed your now wet hair soothingly and your nervousness disappeared. You pushed your face into his neck and smiled. The warmth of the water, his soothing motions, and the exhaustion from the day caused sleepiness to creep in your bones and weigh your eyelids down. Tengen noticed your exhaustion and chuckled, “okay, time to get out. Let’s get some food.”
 -
You, Tengen, and his wives sat crisscrossed across from each other quietly eating the meal they had prepared. Your eyes were heavy, and you kept dozing off. Hinatsuru and Tengen would nudge you followed by a soft, “Finish your food, and then we’ll all go to bed.” You’d nod and refocus on your food. Suma looked nervous, as if she wanted to say something, but Makio would shoot her a very harsh look. There was an air to the table that made you uncomfortable as if you had done something wrong. After dinner, the five of you all piled on Tengen’s enormous bed, after they insisted on you sleeping with them. Soon all five of you were sound asleep.
Opening your eyes, you cursed at the nagging feeling plaguing your bladder. You groan and try to slip from Tengen’s very tight grip. He mumbles and squeezes you tighter, putting pressure on your bladder. You wince and try once more, eventually squirming out of his grip. Crawling down to the foot of the bed, you swing your legs over and sigh. Tengen’s tired voice whispers from behind, “(Y/N), what are you doing?” You turn your head to look at him, “I really have to pee, Tengen.” He chuckled and removed the cover before standing up at walking over to you. “Okay, I’ll come with you.”
You nodded and followed him out of the room, and he showed you to the bathroom. You thanked him and entered the room before closing the door behind you. After you closed the door, you lit the lantern in the bathroom. Like lightning a hand slapped itself over your mouth and you screamed. The sound was muffled, and you struggled against the hot body behind you. You knew the heat; you knew the smell of his skin. You even knew the sound of his breathing. “If you promise not to scream, I’ll remove my hand, my love.” His voice was soft and attractive, just as it had always been. “Do you understand?” You whimpered and stayed quiet. He sighed. “Do you underSTAND?!” His voice turned aggressive as he pushed your head back harshly. You sobbed as tears fell down your face. You winced and cried as warm liquid dripped down your leg. His voice softened once more, “Oh, you poor thing.” He used his other hand to grab yours and he pushed you out of the bathroom. “(Y/N)? Oh, Kyoujurou, you’re here.” Tengen walked out from the kitchen. “You weren’t supposed to be here until the morning.”
Kyoujurou chuckled brightly, “Well, you know, I couldn’t stay away from my beautiful flame. She’s the light of my life, everything has been so dull since I let her leave. Running straight to your loving arms, Tengen.” Tears fell freely from your eyes as you stared at Tengen in disbelief and betrayal. He avoided your eyes and Kyoujurou removed his hand from your mouth. You sobbed and closed your eyes, wishing the world would just go away. Kyoujurou spun you around and pulled you in for a kiss. You struggled against his body and cried. Tengen sped over and ripped you away from the other hashira. “Kyoujurou, treat her with respect. That’s why we’re in this situation, well, that and you’re extremely messy.” He turned to you and pushed your hair behind your ear. You shut your eyes and turned your head away from him. He sighed and grabbed your hand, “It’s okay, Darling. Let’s go get you another bath.” Kyoujurou growled, “another bath? Meaning you saw her… naked?” His eyes were narrowed, and you shied from him. Tengen flashed him an angry look and wrapped his arms around her. Kyoujurou huffed and followed the two of you out to the springs.
“Okay, (Y/N), why don’t you go ahead and get those soiled clothes off?” You hesitantly nodded before stripping your clothes off and instantly dipping into the water, uncomfortable from two set of eyes following your frame. Both men followed suit and waded through the water towards you. You instinctively backed away from both men. Tengen stopped and looked at you with a guilty expression. Kyoujurou, however, did not stop and he reached his hand out in a comforting way. “Darling, My Love. Please, I’ve missed you so much. Every minute I’ve been apart from you has been like a year of agony for me. I love you so much, and I’m so sorry that I scared you. Please, just take my hand.” You stared at his hand before slowly but hesitantly laying yours in his. He brought the palm to his lips, pressing a chaste kiss to it. You whimper softly, as he pulls you into him with a sigh. The hair on your neck stood on end as he rubbed your head. You looked up at Tengen, frightened and sad. His face still held guilt and he waded over to the two of you. He kissed your swollen lips gently before leaning to whisper in your ear.
“I’m so sorry, My Darling. We both love you too much to let you go.”
Your mouth dropped open, “Tengen…. loves me?” Suddenly, realizations flashed across your mind and several things started to make sense. The looks he would give you, the smiles he would flash at you, how gentle he is, how loving he is, the pet names. It all made sense, everything you brushed off and pushed out of your mind. You looked back through your memories of the three of you together, and you saw it. The looks Tengen and Kyoujurou shared, the hushed whispers. You didn’t know how to feel. It was almost as if you had not processed any of what he said.
Tengen was staring at you with an expectant look. He closed his eyes and let out a quiet sigh before leaning away from you. “I must go, as my wives may be wondering where we are. I’ll be back later.” Panic struck your body, and you thrashed in Kyoujurou’s strong hold. “N-NO, Tengen don’t leave me here. Please, I’m begging you. Please, don’t go.” Kyoujurou’s arms gripped you tighter and you winced. “He could kill me. He could kill me.” Tengen stopped and looked down before flashing you an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, My Darling. I promise, I will be back.” Nausea welled up in your throat as he flashed a stern look at Kyoujurou, “Do NOT do anything rash, Kyoujurou. I will know, and I will do something about it, and you will NOT like it.” Kyoujurou growled softly and you whimpered, choking back bile. Tengen nodded at you and climbed out of the pool of water, leaving soon after.
“Darling… you know I won’t hurt you, right?” Kyoujurou’s voice was right in your ear, and you nodded your head in pure fear. He pulled away and held your shoulders in his hand, his grip still tight. “That’s a good girl,” his hand made its way for your face, rubbing the skin softly, “I’ve missed you more than anything before.” You kept your gaze off of his face. He moved your face gently, “Please look at me, My Love.” Slowly, you looked up at his face, shaking violently. “There she is. My beautiful flame. My entire reason for being. Without you, I lose the hope and spark of my life. Everything I am, everything I will be, everything I have done, is for you.” He moved his face to rest his forehead on yours gingerly. Your breath hitched and panic filled your mind. “He’s so close. He smells so good; His voice sends tingles down my spine. I hate him. I hate him so much. Hate him. Hate him, hate him, hate him.” Your eyes darted around, and you wished your mind would shut up. You were terrified of him, and yet, your heart still yearned for him. Your body still craved his touch. He was your first and only love. How could you ever hate him?
You cried. You cried and cried until your eyes couldn’t cry anymore. You cried until the only thing left was the hitch in your breathing and your whole being felt numb. And Kyoujurou? Well, he was simply delighted that you had stopped struggling.
It made everything easier for him.

Yandere! Rengoku Kyoujurou x GN! Reader

Tumblr media
Today was just another day in the prison that you’ve been forced to endure. Trapped in the never-ending hallways of the enormous flame estate. It seems your captor either thought you were stupid or trusted his younger brother enough to keep you from leaving the house. Those options or he just knew that you weren’t going to be able to get the hell out of here.
However, you knew that it was because of his brother. His younger brother was adorable, young, and seemingly innocent, however, he was extremely loyal to his older brother. You didn’t know if he knew that what his elder brother was doing was bad, or if he just didn’t see anything wrong with it. Either way, the young kid was tiny and exceptionally quiet, and like magic, he seemed to have eyes and ears everywhere.
One time, you had passed by a door that you come to know led to a hallway closer to the entrance, and the little flame-haired boy appeared seemingly out of nowhere and cried for your help in some deeper part of the house. It wasn’t better that you felt so hazy these days. You wondered what happened to you.
You started to feel fuzzy after your last escape attempt. That was how you found out that Senjuro-Kun was a little spy for his older brother. You knew your way around this never-ending maze of a house much better then than now. Maybe it was all the isolation spent in that dark room that you’re pretty sure isn’t even a part of the house. Kyojuro welcomed you back after he locked in there with only a little food, THAT'S when the woozy air-headedness started. You didn’t really know what was going on.
Speaking of Kyojuro, he hasn’t come home yet, and you suppose he wouldn’t for a bit. It was just yesterday that he kissed you passionately and squeezed you with that large beaming smile on his face. The smile that you may have fallen for in another life, had all this mess not happened. He told you with a surprisingly gentle voice, different from his usual boisterous, bouncing-off-the-wall voice, “I will be back my lovely darling. I’ll miss you so much.” He gave you another kiss before talking to Senjuro-Kun in a hushed whisper. Then he left, heading to talk to his father, whom you’ve hardly laid your eyes on. Only once, have your existences crossed and he was drunk off his ass and could hardly care about his son, much less you. You shrugged it off and focused on what you always used to think about: escape.
Your stomach growled and you decided that you wanted to eat a snack. Usually, you would have Senjuro-kun get the snack for you because he so fervently insisted, but you couldn’t be bothered to find the little guy, albeit it would not be hard. You headed to the kitchen, one of the rooms that you had genuine free access to. Kyojuro was a man of glutton and you supposed he expected you to be of that nature too, so he granted your freedom in the kitchen minus the knives and other things that could be used in harmful ways. You shuffled through the cabinets and stopped when you found Rice crackers and pulled them out, much to your surprise and curiosity, it brought another little container out with it.
Your breath hitched slightly as your head cleared up just enough to know what the hell you were looking at. Your stomach dropped and bile rose in your throat as you eyed the drugs. Your mind snapped like a puzzle and for the first time in many days, your head felt like it had been washed out by a raging storm. Everything was all too clear. The boys were poisoning your food with this little medication to keep you nice and complacent. Your heart broke at the thought that Kyojuro would actually do this to you and you shook the thought away. Of course, he would do this. He’s fucking crazy. He took you from your peaceful life, locked you up here, and has been drugging you. You should’ve known.
A little voice down the hall brought you back to the situation at hand and you shoved both the rice crackers and the medication back in their original spot and shut the cabinet quietly before exiting out the door that lead away from the hall that the young Rengoku’s voice carried from. You dipped behind the corner of the kitchen just as the little boy came in view and he looked around confusedly before heading to your hallway.
Feigning hunger, you ran down the hall quietly before turning and walking back toward the kitchen. “Senjurou-Kun, Senjurou-Kun, where are you?” And just as you expected the little boy appeared before you with a cute smile on his face. “Yay, (Y/N)-San there you are, is there something you need?” You nodded nervously and smiled, “I'm just feeling hungry, and I know how much you like preparing snacks for me.” He smiled and nodded.
“Yes, in fact, I was looking for you so that I could give you your dinner.” He walked ahead of you and you followed closely behind, somehow ashamed that he took better care of you than you did. He lead you back to your room and for the first time, you noticed a dish of salmon daikon set daintily in his hands. The dish sent a jab of pain through your body. It reminded you of your friend, Giyuu. You considered him your friend. He used to be everything to you, the only legitimate friend you had, besides Kyojuro. But now you were probably but a ghost to him. Who knows how long you’d been in here really?
You cast the thought away and smiled at the child, “Ah, Thank you so much, Senjurou, I appreciate it.” The child handed you the bowl and bowed before leaving. “I’ll be back for the dish in about 30 minutes. I hope you enjoy it, I hope you eat it all.” Your stomach sank and you quickly dipped inside your room, shutting the shoji behind you.
Sitting the dish by your futon, you paced around it. You wondered what you were going to do with it. After finding out about the drugs, you knew you couldn’t eat them, but Senjurou would know something was up if you didn’t eat them. You look around the room, trying to find anything to slide the food into. Your heart hurt, it look so yummy and your stomach growled. Rubbing your eyes, you shook your head. No. You couldn’t eat this.
You’d eventually found a piece of fabric and a vase that you could hide the food in. You knew that it would suck to clean up, but maybe you’d be gone before it actually began to stink. You wouldn’t have to worry about it then. Slipping the food into it, you covered the top with the fabric and placed it away. You made it to your futon with the bowl and chopsticks just as a knock sounded from the entrance to your room.
“Come in.” You called while trying your best to look like you had just eaten it. The young boy walked into the room and smiled at you, “Did you enjoy all of it?” You looked up to him and nodded without hesitation, and for the first time, you’d noticed the strange glint in his eyes. He nodded quickly and it was gone and for a moment you wondered if it was ever even there. He grabbed the bowl and the chopsticks from you and nodded before leaving.
After about 15 minutes, you sighed and laid down. The discovery and your anxiety about the situation had exhausted you and without fail you fell asleep.
The next morning, Senjurou met you in their small library. You assumed it was a library-type thing, it had a large number of books in it. He explain to you with pleading eyes that he had to leave to go to the market. You felt bad that he was the one who had to do that, and you cursed his father. He pleaded for you not to leave while he was gone. You lowered your eyelids and gave him a confused expression. “Why would I leave?”
He left with a huge smile on his face after he hugged you. You credited him for his sneakiness but he was naive. Not that you were actually going to leave. But while he was gone, and you knew that he wouldn’t be gone long, you scouted the rest of the house. Not eating last night caused your head to be nearly clear as day the next morning, and suddenly navigating the house felt so much easier and eventually, you were met with the entrance. Your eyes widened as you looked at the sunshine shining in through the windows. It blinded you. You weren’t used to it.
The sun's rays fell on your skin and tears welled in your eyes as you thought about your old life. You thought about the wind and the sound of fresh water rushing and the feel of your uniform against your skin. The tears broke over your waterline and you let them fall down your face. You knew how to get out and you would stop at nothing until you felt the taste of freedom.
After your encounter with the entrance, you set back to the kitchen to get food. Your stomach growled as you prepared a small snack involving those rice crackers you found. You avoided making contact with the medicine. Putting away the rice crackers, you race to your room. You’d just have to wait until nightfall.
Silence had fallen over the flame estate as the moon rose above the hills. You were lucky to find that Kyoujurou had not come home yesterday, and you knew it was tonight or never. Making your futon nice and tidy, you roll it up and stick it into the bag you had found earlier in the kitchen. You slid open your shoji quietly and slipped out and down the hall. You knew you were already taking a risk by coming out but you had to get your stuff.
You didn’t know whether or not Kyoujurou kept your uniform and sword but you figured that if he did, he put it somewhere in his room. You’d only been in his room a couple of times. He always settled for seeing you and even sometimes sleeping in your room. When asked why he gave a loud laugh and held your face. “I simply love to be surrounded by you.”
Creeping down the hallway, you looked around the corner before ducking into the other hallway quickly and quietly. Your training as a demon slayer kinoe was rusty but you could still use some of it. You were great at being quiet considering a shinobi used to train you. You knew what he would say if he saw you now. He’d give you a bored look and point out how plain you looked now. You never got to say goodbye, having been taken before you returned from your mission with Rengoku. You wonder if Uzui tried to look for you.
Shaking your head, you approach Kyoujurou’s bedroom entrance. Looking around softly, you peel back the shoji before stepping inside and closing it. Once inside, you looked around. It was dark and it smelled of him. You scanned over the desk in the corner and over his futon that he left messily opened. Approaching his desk, you opened all the drawers and searched through them. You found nothing of yours and were about to close it when you saw an envelope labeled carefully in Kyoujurou’s scratchy handwriting. You couldn’t read it and you didn’t want to. You opened the envelope and looked through all the little pieces of paper in it. They were all the notes you’d sent him, and he had been annotating on them. Writing small phrases like, “how cute,” or “this means they love me.” Your heart hammered quickly in your chest and you closed the envelope before shoving it back in the drawer and closing it.
You continued to look through the room and stopped when you found yourself in the corner of his room, examining holes in his wall. They were fist-sized and you looked through them. There was a small room on the other side, with a window. The moon flared in through it and the small light reflected off a piece of metal. You looked closer you realized with joy that it was your sword. Backing up, you rush out of Kyoujurou’s room and close the shoji. Running up the hall quietly, you turn and quickly tried to open the shoji that leads to the small room. It wouldn’t budge and you realized it must be locked. Your stomach dropped and you grit your teeth.
No.
You weren’t going to give up now. As quietly as you could, you pushed up against the shoji before it gave way and slid open. You winced at the small noise it made and scrambled into the room. Looking around, your eyes land on your uniform and your sword. With quick work, you put your uniform on, leave your old clothes on the floor and grab your sword. Putting your sword into your belt you look around again, you see another small desk and realize that it was in front of the wall that had the holes. The first thing you noticed was a piece of paper on it. It had your handwriting on it and had been sprinkled in blood. You realized with horror that it was a note between you and Giyuu in which he had asked you if you wanted to eat lunch with him the next day. Your head hurt and you looked away. You closed your eyes and snatched the note and shoved it in your bag. You glanced over at the window and pulled up the thick paper. Looking around once more, you jump out of the window.
Your heart cried out in joy as you took off out of the yard and onto the dirt road outside the entrance gate. You sprinted down the road and towards the center of the village that the Rengoku estate was set in. Weaving through vendors and stalls, you hoped more than anything that you could reach the butterfly mansion within the morning. You didn’t know why you were going to the butterfly mansion but you thought that maybe it was because you needed a familiar scenery.
Your body recovered the more and more you ran and soon you were back up to your previous running speed. You were close to reaching the gate when your guy twisted and you slid to a stop. Your heart twisted with anxiety as you shoved yourself behind a building and looked out towards the entrance cautiously. Your heart dropped as the fluffy yellow hair of your captor came into view. He was walking with a member of the village. You heard his loud voice from where you were. “…I have someone waiting for me at home, I’d love to try some of your delicious udon but I really really miss them, and I need to get home to them as soon as possible.” Your throat closed up and you could hear their footsteps get closer and closer. You did the only thing you could think of and you climbed.
By the time you reached the balcony, Kyoujurou and the man came around the building and you flattened yourself onto the floor of it as much as you could. The two kept laughing and talking before the Hashira stopped suddenly and looked around him. You felt his eyes rake over the balcony and you swore he could hear your heartbeat. After a second, he laughed and apologized to the villager, who looked quite frightened. They were gone before you knew it.
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in, your heart beating irrationally. You wanted desperately to get up because you knew it wouldn’t take him too long to figure out you were gone. Your fear, however, kept you rooted to the floor of the balcony. After a few minutes, you stood up shakily and climbed the rest of the way to the roof. Standing on the roof, you peered over all the roofs before looking into the forest west. You knew the forest was your best bet. Crouching, you get ready to jump when you feel a pair of piercing eyes fall onto your body. You turn slowly to find a disheveled Kyoujurou staring at you around 3 roofs away from you. You swore up and down that they had to be able to teleport.
You could feel the heat radiating off of him, even from such a large distance and you knew he was pissed off. Keeping your eyes on him, you back up slowly before springing off the roof and landing gracefully onto the road below. With no hesitation, you raced into the woods and didn’t look behind you. You could hear his footsteps behind you as you ducked and swerved through bushes. You realized with a strike of fear that he wasn’t trying to be stealthy and was instead pursuing you straight on. Which meant that he was playing with you. Your heart knocked against your ribs as you slid under a fallen tree and continued your sprint away from him.
At this rate, you knew you would be overtaken by him as your legs began to burn. Taking a sharp turn, you drew your blade and got into formation.
“Thunder Breathing: First form: Thunderclap and Flash.”
With the move, you jerked your body forward at the speed of lightning and raced through the forest. Your precision while dodging was messy as you became scratched and scraped by twigs and limbs. Your body hurt and you became desperate to get away from the man chasing you. Your ears pricked and you could barely hear his footsteps.
You slowed down and with great precision and desperation, you slid under a thick bush and covered yourself with its leaves. You struggled to calm your breathing and you placed your hand over your mouth as the flame Hashira stepped out into your former spot. His hand held his sword and the gleam from the moonlight made your stomach curl.
He looked around slowly and put his sword away before walking to the other end of the clearing, slowly, deliberately. His voice rang out in the silence of the woods, “I know you’re here, come out, my darling.” He looked around before heading towards you. Your skin pricked as your body shook. He stopped just shy of the bush you hid under and called for you again. You eye his legs and tears began to form. Your heart beats loudly and you cursed it. He could probably hear it.
He put his hand on his hips and laughed loudly, “I guess they really aren’t in this clearing.” Your eyebrows furrowed at his odd language as he walked passed you and out of sight. You kept your hand over your mouth for a few seconds before you removed it and let out a soft sigh. Tears fell down over your cheeks as you softly cried. You begin to get up when a warm hand wraps itself around your ankle and pulls you out of the bush aggressively. A scream rips from your body as you thrash around and try to escape his grip. He laughs loudly and drags you into the open. You punch and kick at his hand and cry as you begin to panic.
He lets go of your foot before immediately pinning you down and climbing on top of you. You close your eyes and look away as tears fall freely from your eyes and sobs fall from your mouth. His hand makes its way to your cheek before wiping it slowly. “(Y/N), look at me.” You refuse and keep your face pointed away from him. He growls and grips your face with his hand and turns it toward you. Your frightened eyes meet his angry ones. He smiles at you and brushes your hair out of your face.
“Hi, my darling.” You shake your head and close your eyes. “I’m not your darling, get away from me, you fucking-“ You’re cut off by his mouth as he aggressively kisses you and pushes your head into the ground. Pulling away, he grins at you, “that’s better, isn’t it, my love?” Your eyes widen before refilling with tears and your body goes limp beneath him. He seems elated at your compliance and he stands up and picks you up bridal style. You look up at his face as he begins to walk how you came. His face held a smile but his jaw was set and you could tell he was gritting his teeth. He was pissed off and you knew something was about to happen. Oh boy, you’d find out when you got home.
The fear of the unknown kept you rooted in Kyoujurou’s arms until the gate of the estate came into view. Once you saw the brick of the walls, your heart kicked into overdrive and you began thrashing and screaming in his arms. Your eyes widened as he tightened his grip on you, so much that you whimpered from the sheer strength. Despite his grip, you wouldn’t give up regardless of the fact that you knew you were digging a deeper grave for yourself.
You thrashed and struggled more and more until his grip had become so tight you could barely breathe and you began to get lightheaded. Your mouth opened in an attempt to get more oxygen into your lungs but only pained and hoarse gasps escaped. “Kyou- k - Kyoujurou, please I- I can’t breathe.” He only looked down at you, with a small smile. Your eyelids fell over your eyes, akin to a sultry stare, a bright pink fell over your cheeks, and your lips were bruised with smeared saliva. His face broke into a blush and he kissed your lips softly. Your vision started to get blurry and the corner darkened when you were laid down gently in a small dark room. The room in which he held your stuff.
Your body shook as you desperately tried to suck air into your lungs, your eyes watering as tears spilled over your cheeks. Coughing and choking, you peer up at the man in front of you in fear. He stared down at you with a surprisingly gentle face. Slowly, he lowered himself and climbed over you until he was straddling you, similar to in the woods. His face dropped to be level with yours and his hand reached out to hold your cheek gently. He said nothing as you flinched away from his touch and looked down at him in fear. Sighing, helowered his head more until his mouth was level with the base of your neck. Taking in a deep breath, he shuddered as your smell filled his nostrils. You shook in fear.
Moving forward, Kyoujurou pressed a chaste kiss to your jugular before moving up the side of your neck with small kisses until he reached your lips in which he quickly captured with his own. His eyes fell closed and one arm held him up as his other pulled you closer to him. Pulling away, he smiled, a cold glint in his eyes. “Okay, my darling. Let’s fix you up.”

Mine and Mine Alone.
Rengoku x Female! Reader
Warnings: Obsessive behavior, Possessive behavior, Delusional! Kyo, Hes kinda creepy.
Tumblr media
You’ve been feeling a little blue lately. Your best friend, Rengoku Kyoujurou, hasn’t been around in a few days. Usually, the two of you would go out for lunch at the local vendors, spending hours browsing at the stalls and what they had to offer.
Of course, you couldn’t blame him, after all, he is a Hashira. Rengoku was an extremely busy man. Saving people, hunting things slaying demons. You just wished you could spend more time with him. Just for a little bit, no more than an hour.
You sighed as you folded a uniform. You worked as a maid at Tengen Uzui’s residence. You didn’t live there and only popped in at certain times, because his wives usually kept the place pretty neat. You really only ever stopped by to make sure they didn’t need anything done or any help. It was a lenient job, you loved his wives and you thought he was a cool person. In fact, he’s the whole reason you met Rengoku. You smile at the memory as you trace the fabric of the uniform. You had just washed an entire basket of cloths and uniforms. Hanging the items on a stretched line in the sun to dry, you finally clip the final piece on when you feel a strong gush of wind rush by you. Stunned, you turn to look for the culprit when you are suddenly hit head-on from the front.
Yelping, you are thrown on your back immediately, hitting the ground with a painful thud. A gasp and millions of apologies fill your ears as you look up. A man stood before you. You had never seen anyone like him before. His red eyes, and golden hair that rivaled the sun itself blinded you, and you felt a slight blush creep on your face.
“Hey, are you okay?” He kneels down in front of you, “I’m real sorry about that, I should have been paying attention.” You feel a presence standing over you, and you see Uzui with an amused smile. You narrow your eyes at him. Turning back to the man, “Yeah, yeah I’m fine. Please, just move so I can put these cloths you knocked down back up.”
You giggle softly at the memory, before placing the uniform on a shelf. You continue this before all the uniforms had been restocked. Wiping your brow, you smile, “All done, now for lunch. I’m starving.” Walking into the main room of the house you say a farewell to Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma. They smile and thank you before going about their business. You do the same.
Opening the shoji, you step out onto the engawa. You stopped to think about what you wanted for lunch. You decided on shrimp tempura. Your mouth watered at the thought and you step off the engawa. Walking down the garden path to the gate entrance, you stop when you hear voices. Checking to see if you knew who they were, you turn the corner to come face to face with the man of the hour with Uzui in tow. “AH! (Y/N). Just the person I was looking for.” He walks up to you and pulls into a light embrace, “Are you busy at the moment?” You smile, “Oh, No. I cant say that I am. I was just on my way to get lunch.”
He laughs loudly, “Great! I was going to ask you to go to lunch with me, but now you have no choice. Let us go. I will continue our conversation later, Tengen.” You look over at the mentioned man. He held an impatient and exasperated expression, “Hurry then, you’re the one who said it was of urgent importance.” You cock your head to the side. You shrug and jog ahead to join Rengoku who had already begun walking only stopping once he realized you weren’t following. You two set out for the village.
You both found a suitable restaurant, a little more upscale than you believed you were used to. You nearly fainted when you had seen the prices of the food, but Rengoku assured you that he would pay despite your many protests. Your head was bowed in shame as you looked down at your lap. He gave a short laugh, “(Y/N), you mustn’t be so down, I’m more than happy to pay for your food. It is my treat.” You sighed. There was no use in denying him. After you had both decided what you were going to have, you stuck with your choice from earlier, You both settle down and begin to talk waiting for your food to arrive.
“(Y/N), I must apologize for my absence. I haven’t been able to meet with you much, between my duties and a project I’ve been working on on the side I’ve been left with no time. I haven’t meant to push you aside or anything of the sort.” You smile and sigh, “Its thoughtful that you apologized, Kyojuro.” He smiled. “I understand you’ve been busy.” You tilt your head more, “What are you working on?” His eyes light up in excitement, “I’m so glad you asked, well I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I think it's an amazing idea. I just need one key thing and thats-” He’s cut off by the waiter. “Here you go,” He sets Kyojuro’s item down with a distasteful glance before setting yours down, “and here you are.” He gives you a small smile.
“Has anyone told you that you are just stunning?” You look up in shock, “I.. I’m sorry what?” The waiter throws you a flirty look, “You are beautiful. Say, would you like to go out sometime?” You give him a confused face. “Oh, uh, that’s sweet, but, uhm, no thanks.” The man pays no mind and reaches for your hand, Rengoku reaches it first. He holds it softly. “She said no. Leave her alone.” The man scoffs.
“Stay out of this man. This is between me and the lady.” He looks at you and winks. Kyojuro’s hold on your hand tightens. You look over at his face. He had a wide, dark smile on his face and his hold on your hand grew impossibly tighter. Using his other hand, he threw money on the table and stood up. “We’ll be taking our food to go. Don’t even think about coming after us, I will hurt you.” You gasp, “Rengoku, you cant threaten people like that.”
He says nothing as he pulls you out of the restaurant. Groaning, he leads you into a small alley. Embracing you, he pushes you against the wall. You hesitate to hold him and he notices. Tightening his hold on you, he mutters a quiet, ”embrace me back.” You shakenly place your arms around him. He breathes into your neck, his breaths getting heavier and heavier with each passing moment.
“It wasn’t a threat, love. It was a fucking promise.” You’re rendered speechless by Kyojuro’s foul language, “R-Rengoku? Whats going on?” He curses under his breath and pulls away before grabbing your shoulders, “Its Kyojuro. Kyojuro, okay? Lovers call each other by their first names and we’re in love.” He smiles widely at you, “I couldn’t stand it when he was talking to you like that. Talking to what’s mine like that. He cant have you, I wont let him. You’re mine. You love me like i love you.” Your mouth opens and you feel fear rush through your being.
“Rengoku I-” “KYOJURO.” You flinch at his manic shout, and tears fill your eyes. “Kyojuro, whats gotten into you? Why are you acting like this?” He chuckles before backing away, “See, I had asked myself that the other day too. I wondered why i felt this way. I realized, (Y/N). Its because of you. All you.” He spreads his arms out. “I’m in love with you, and you’re in love with me. We’re destined to be together,” He smiles gleefully. Taking your hands in his, he smiles. “(Y/N), I love you so much. So much it hurts to be away from you. I never want you out of my sight ever again. So, i made a plan. Ive practically already finalized it with Tengen.”
“You’re going to leave Tengen’s residence and come to mine to work, you’ll be mine fully, and I’ll love you every second of everyday,” You began to shake, “I-I what? Kyojuro,” he shivered, “I don’t want that.” He stopped, “Of course you do. Youre mine. Mine. Mine.” Your body freezes up as he grabs your face and pulls you in for a kiss. He lets out a moan and pulls away with a heavy blush and half-lidded eyes. “Its okay, my love. Me and you will always be together. Forever and ever. You are mine and mine alone.”

Before we get into this one, here’s a quick note.
(P/N) means pronouns. So you can fill in your pronouns here. I think I’ll include this on every fic, unless it’s gender/pronoun specific.
Anyways, this one isn’t as bad. But I’ll warn of obsessive behavior, slight possessiveness. Yeah, technically dark content.
Tumblr media
If Giyuu had a dime for every time he was chided for being quiet he’d have enough dimes to bury Sanemi alive. Well, he supposed Sanemi would put up quite the fight, but his point still stands. He’d have a lot of dimes.
And despite having hundreds upon hundreds of these dimes, not one came from you. You’ve never once chided him or got mad at him for having a simple personality trait. No, you accepted that. You understood him.
You. He thought about you quite a lot. So much, in fact, that he had become even more distant to the others. His mind plagued with constant fantasies and daydreams of the two of you. Together.
One could say that the water pillar had a crush on you. Oh, but the Hashira wouldn’t hear any of it. He was simply in denial. Giyuu would prefer not to feel anything, as his outside demeanor suggested.
The other pillars found out about his crush only by Giyuu’s obsessive staring. He never knew he did it, and when he had found out, he apologized right away. You told him it didn’t bother you, that he didn’t bother you.
His heart moved a little faster.
It was one day that he had come to terms with it. He sat in his room, staring at the wall, mumbling.
“(P/N) understands me so much. (P/N) never judges me and accepts me for who I am.”
“We were meant to be together. Me and (Y/N) will be together.”
“(P/N) is mine, right? Oh, yes. Mine. Mine. And only mine.”
He retreated back in to himself as he did often these days, only coming out when he had to during missions and training. Giyuu thought of scenarios of you and him, talking, laughing, eating, moaning. So many different fantasies, some appropriate, and others inappropriate. Things that he would only ever allow his eyes to see.
You were quite the unsocial-social butterfly. Choosing only to talk to certain people. You interacted with everybody, but you only talked with some of the pillars. Giyuu and Rengoku Kyojuro. You were but a butterfly, and butterflies are attracted to light.
Rengoku Kyojuro stood bright as the sun, something everyone around him were certain of and envious of. He really was the direct definition of a Golden Child. Not that his father would agree.
Giyuu could only feel extreme jealousy and insecurity as you conversed with the flame pillar. Rengoku always made you smile, his attitude infectious like a disease.
Giyuu thought it was a disease anyways, one he didn’t want you catching. So, he would always direct you away from the golden boy. Under the guise of being lonely, (which was never far from the truth) he would have your company.
He liked the smile that he could put on your face, it wasn’t like the one Kyojuro made. This one was softer, much more intimate. One only he could put on your face, as your lover, of course.
Lover. Love. Yes, he has come to the conclusion that he loved you, oh so very much. He could hardly contain his affection. His fingers tapping your hand so much, the need to hold your hand threatening to burst from his body. He looked at you nervously. You understood.
You understood him, his needs, his wants. You’ve always been the one to take the time to truly know him. His heart would begin beating quickly, as you grab his hand and bring it to your mouth in a soft kiss.
He’d practically melt. His face changing from blank to blushy and excited. Practically pouncing on you, he’d kiss all over your face and you’d laugh and let him.
You’d be his and his only, and he would never let you go. Ever.

Dark clouds plague the skies above the Rengoku estate.
Regret and anger settles thickly over the solemn property.
A small boy with fiery hair locks himself in his room as he cries himself into a restless sleep.
A much older man, perhaps his father, shuffles around the kitchen loudly. Rummaging through the shelves and drawers, he slams his hands on the counter and breaks into a fit of curses.
A light flashes outside and thunder is heard rumbling above.
A small patter on the roof top turns into a loud roar of pelting rain drops as the sky opens up.
It seemed as if the heavens were grieving for the loss themselves.
-
Outside, an aged grave-stone sat ragged next to a pristine one. A mound of dirt lying at it’s feet.
Someone kneeled beside the new gravestone, head down, and shoulders shaking. Their hair slick and vivid against the grey sky.
A young man, riddled with regret and grief.
His hands shook, and he curled them into fists. His sobs racked his body as he whispered aggressively to himself.
He examined the bruises and ruptures on his fists. It had seemed as if he had punched something over and over.
Or
Perhaps, someone.
Just as his father had done all those years ago, it was his turn, and soon it would be the small child’s.
After-all, physical genetics weren’t the only thing that was passed down through out the men of the Rengoku family.
There was one more thing:
The inability to control rage.

Uzui Tengen Drabble #1
Tumblr media
Your white kimono was stained with a wet mark from the spilt tea. You looked down at it as your lips began to quiver and your eyes shut. Tears began to well out over your eyelids as you heard the distant shuffling of the tall man getting up from his position. You didn’t look at him.
“Darling…” His voice smooth and cold. “What happened, my love?” His voice was devoid of any emotion, no warmth. You shivered. His hands made their way to your shoulder and you tried to not flinch, not going unnoticed by the man behind you. His head dropped down beside your ear, his white hair dropping elegantly on your shoulder. You stayed quiet, fear bubbling even more rapidly in your heart.
Makio closed her eyes and set her hands on top of each other, Hinatsuru had her head down looking in her lap as her left hand picked at her right. Suma, poor Suma, her eyes opened in fear and sympathy and she held her hand over her mouth. Your eyes scrunched closed as tears flowed freely down your cheeks, a whimper building in your throat. His hold on your shoulders tightened before his right hand made its way for your hair.
“Answer me, my beloved.” His hand tightened in your hair and shoved your head back, showing him your red, puffy face. You cried out in shock and fear. “F-forgive me, Tengen-sama, my love. I must’ve got distracted and misplaced the tea.” Your hands ached as they were beginning to blister from the hot tea. Your eyes kept weeping and your fear grew impossibly stronger.
His large hand released your hair and he stepped away from you. He sighed and snapped his fingers, the other women tripping over themselves to leave the room in a timely fashion. Hinatsuru gave you a sympathetic glance before sliding the door shut.
Tengen sighed once more, resting his hand on the table beside your untouched food, now soaked in tea. He seemed to stare down at the plate before his hand lifted and struck the table with a force that sent the plate flipping. You jumped and let out a whimper. His hand flew up to his face, pinching the bridge of his nose. “We are to be a perfect family, I love all of you. We are supposed to be perfect. How are we to accomplish this if you make stupid mistakes like this one.” His hand flew to gesture at the flooded table.
“This cannot continue to go on, I am sad to say that i am disappointed in you, (Y/N), my love. I simply thought you were better. I thought you would make a most perfect rendition to the lives of me and our wives. Perhaps I have mistaken. Have I mistaken?” His eyes looked down coldly at your face. Your eyes widened as you looked up at him. You shook your head, struggling to find the words. “Words, my useless darling.” Your mouth opened and closed a bit, “I am very sorry, My love. I do not believe you were mistaken. I have clearly messed up a-and I… I accept any p-punishment that may fall on me. I promise to do better in the future.” Your voice wavered slightly and you wanted to fall into the ground.
His mouth curved up into a sadistic smile, “Of course, My love. We all make mistakes. I am pleased with your apology. I do hope that you do not disappoint me once again. I won’t be as lenient next time.” His hand laid itself on top of your head and he gave a friendly smile. You sighed and looked at him. “Now…,” His hand slipped down and he trailed his finger along your face before dipping down to tap gently at your neck. His eyes dropped to a half-lidded sultry stare.
“As for your punishment…..”

Rengoku Kyoujurou Drabble
Tumblr media
Smiling at the bright Hashira always seemed futile as you knew that the one he returned would far outshine yours. His eyes wide and sparkling like a lake in the sun. Shimmering with warmth and light as he glanced warmly at your face.
The light wasn’t there. His eyes were oddly dark, with no light and yet the same intensity remained. He stared down at you softly. His once wide smile had dropped the moment you had made your presence known. His face bloodied.
Your eyes widened, your pupils shrunk in fear as your knees wobbled from horror and disgust. Your hands shook as you fell to your knees infront of the bright man. Tears fell down your cheeks as you looked up at the Hashira.
Your breathing became erratic as you tried to gain control of your body. Small noises began to turn into loud sobs and your opened your mouth to scream, but it never happened.
In an instant the flame Hashira had pinned you to the ground and straddled your waist with one hand pressed to your lips and the other in a shushing motion over his own. The blood on his hands smeared on your lips and you tasted the metallic tang of it on your tongue. You struggled and shook in his grasp, but to no avail.
He shushed you softly. “I am going to take my hand off of your mouth, please refrain from screaming.” He smiled at you warmly. You nodded slowly, scared of the consequences. He removed his hand, and wiped the smeared blood from your chapped lips.
His hand moved to caress your face and rub your puffy cheeks. “You are just so beautiful, so pretty. I love you oh so much,” his eyes sparkled as they examined every curve and edge of your face.
He sighed and pulled you up towards him, wrapping his arms around your head and waist. “Please say you’ll be mine, oh please. I did this for you after all. I killed him for you. To have you, to hold you. To keep you. It’s all for you, my darling. Say you’ll be mine forever.” He pleaded while nuzzling his head in your neck.
Your eyes widened, and your mouth opened with no sound. The pillar didn’t seem to like that as his voice darkened and his grip tightened. “Don’t make me hurt someone else, just be mine. Mine, mine, mine, mine. Be mine always and forever. Only mine, only me.” His grip tighten to the point of being painful and you let out a squeak.
“I-I- okay, I’m yours.” Your voice broke. You shook against his grip and he smiled gleefully.
“You and I are going to be together, forever. Nothing will ever change that.”
