I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I might get hate or some people might feel uncomfortable with this but I’ll still say it. I’ve seen a trend where it seems like people of color are more on the Marauders side of the Harry Potter fandom than the Snape side while it seem the Snape side is filled with more white people. Basically what I’m trying to say is that if you have choose between the Marauders and Snape, more people of color will choose the Marauders side. I’m not saying every single person but I am saying there’s a trend. And I already know that someone’s gonna say “why are you bringing race into this” but bear with me. What the death eaters represent is bigotry. More specifically, racism. And Snape is a racist. People of color have experience being targeted for their skin color. I have had experiences being targeted by my skin color. The main point of this? It’s harder for a lot of people of color to like Snape when he is a racist and they know how horrible racism is. It is harder for people of color to overlook the racism of Severus Snape rather than white people who have never experienced racism or systematic oppression. It is hard to see everyone glorify a man who called his best friend a slur when you’ve had someone you thought was your friend call you a slur. Like yeah you can say the Marauders are bullies but they were never racist. Yes, I know it’s fictional but it’s something that’s reflected in the real world. So when I see someone glorify or excuse Snape and make it seem like his racism wasn’t a big deal or just gloss over it, it feels very weird. It feel strange to see people excuse racism when a lot of them have never gone through it. Again, not it’s “all or none”. Before anyone goes “oh I’m a poc and I like Snape” good for you! But I didn’t say everyone. I said there’s a trend and a pattern.

I just didn’t like Ron. I’ve had this discussion before and Ron deserved a better author, because the way he was written just didn’t click with me. I liked the way Umbich was written more than him (not saying I like her, I do hate her the same way the erst of the fandom does, but she was well-written) and I hate her. Ron… I didn’t feel any specific way over him. I don’t hate him, don’t like him. He’s background noise. That, to me, is worse than hating a character.
Steve Kloves is to blame.
Idek who that is but ok. I don’t blame anyone, I just didn’t like Ron. No one can sway an authors’ pen, it moves the way they say it does. J.K had the choice to make him less of a snivelling brat but she didn’t. That’s on her, not this steve clover dude.
Steve Kloves was the screenwriter for the HP movies. He was a MASSIVE Harmony shipper and he influenced JKR heavily. He disliked Ron heavily and gave him a bad rep by turning him into comic relief. JKR’s friendship with Kloves seeped into her writing and made Ron get progressively worse. But I still think Ron was very well-written.
He was a brilliant strategist (he was the one who helped with the chess board during PS/SS) and he was the most knowledgeable of the Golden Trio about the Wizarding world. He was the one who told Harry about the history behind “Mudblood” and not Hermione, and he had the most people skills. He was willing to die for Harry during PoA even though Sirius had broken his leg (he stood up on that leg for crying out loud!). He was the only one who was concerned for the house-elves during the Battle of Hogwarts which led to Hermione jumping on him and kissing him on the mouth. He also had realistic flaws. He was very insecure, and he grew through that insecurity as time passed, and a prominent virtue is his loyalty towards Harry.
Okay, well. I just didn’t like him. I didn’t like him in the first book or any after that. I just refer Dramione because I felt like they clicked. A bunch of people are gonna come at me because Draco bullied Hermione, and that’s okay. Your opinins are your own. I’m allowed to not like Ron just because. I don’t have a reason, he just irritated me and I liked Draco, just becuase. I don’t have a reason other than he’s sarcastic. Yes, Ron was a good strategist but I never ‘bonded’ with him so to speak.
Yeah that’s fine. I just felt like defending Ron because I like him a lot, and funnily enough, I find Draco irritating. Dramione isn’t bad (I read a good fic in the summer) but I just feel a little tired of it now haha.

hi i don't know if you realize this but, a lot of your anti mor posts sound homophobic. no lgbtq person is obliged to come out to the people around them, and who they do/ do not come out to is their business , you do not have a say on if they should/shouldnt come out even if you are lgbtq yourself. and you making those statements imply that if someone irl around were lgbtq you would harass them too into coming out, so yes, that statement you made has real consequences too.

I don’t have a problem with Mor being a lesbian at all. Infact, i really like LGBTQ characters, except that in this one It felt like Sjm forced Mor to be one.
Infact if she was Bi, which may I remind you stands for b in LGBTQ, would not be a problem , because it would have been far more realistic than being a lesbian.
And no, this does not imply that I am lesbophobic . Mass’s Mor coming out was sudden , which seemed forceful.

1) I have no buisness in their coming out, because I would know atleast something about their history or something.
2) even if I don’t , that does not mean that I will Harass them to come out. Obviously if they told me about them being one of the LGBTQ members , then it means that they trust me.
3) you trust someone when you know that they support you. And that they’ll help you even in your darkest of times.
