rue/fez/lexi trio headcanons pt.2

i literally need this trio so much in s3, y’all do not understand. i would do anything to see them be a regular thing. (link to part 1) 

-fez being extremely depressed when he comes home from prison (i am ignoring realism of the law don’t question it). lexi comes to visit him as soon as she hears he’s back. she comes to his place everyday for weeks, making sure he eats and cleans up his place

-fez holding a small funeral for ash. lexi and rue are really the only people who can come and of course they pull through

-lexi selecting a poem from her book to read at the funeral the same way she did at rue’s dad’s funeral

-lexi and rue surprise him by getting some photos of him and ash developed and frame them. fez loves them and puts them all over the house

-lexi gets a dvd copy of the play and they all watch it together, mostly for fez because he wasn’t there to see it

-rue taking about how funny nate’s reaction was when he stormed out, followed by her getting off the couch to imitate him huffing and puffing as they all laugh hysterically

-fez loving the play and sadly saying how he wishes he could have been there and lexi just softly saying “i know” while holding his hand. rue looks over to them and gives a sweet smile

-clean rue rue feeling guilt for how she’s treated them both but they forgive her and she cries the same way she did when ali forgave her

-idk what would lead up to it but just a scene of them all consecutively saying “fuck nate jacobs” 

-rue and lexi hanging out at the convenience store everyday and regularly getting themselves sodas from the cooler. one day fez is finally like “ok y’all can’t just get free shit everytime you’re here” but the moment he sees them feel guilty about it, he’s just like “nvm it’s okay guys <3”

-lexi accidentally spills the beans to rue that fez cried during one of their movie watches and rue relentlessly mocks him for it and fez is all, “c’mon lex…you fucking told her??”

-them having tender talks that regularly end with group hugs

-fez and rue arguing about who loves lexi more. eventually, they settle and start the ‘lexi howard fanclub’ 

-joking about their daddy issues because that’s what you do when you have daddy issues 

-fez getting mad that they bike everywhere and insisting he drop them off no matter how much they protest 

-they decide to do a bob ross follow-along video together since fez’s grandma owned a whole set of bob ross dvds. rue and lexi are struggling to do their paintings, but when they look over to fez he’s literally painting it perfectly and they just “???!?!?!?!”

-rue asking fez and lexi more about their history. they bring up things they did like holding hands while watching a movie, talking on the phone everyday, blushing around one another, etc. and rue is just like, “….and you two didn’t fucking realize you were crushing on each other???”

-hanging out at fez’s place turns into tutoring sessions. since getting clean, rue has been focusing on school again with lots of help from lexi. fez gets encouragement from lexi to get his GED so she helps him too. 

-one day she’s super worn out from tutoring both of them and falls asleep. they smile and fez puts the blanket on her and they’re all, “man what the fuck would we do without her?”

-the lexi howard fanclub bickering when trying to make a surprise bday cake for lexi. rue thinks boxed funfetti cake is the best thing ever but fez wants to try a cake that’s homeade and fancier. they get mad and make two individual cakes for her.

-lexi loves both her cakes. she’ll never say it to fez because it’d break his heart, but she is actually more of a funfetti person and liked rue’s slightly more

-lexi doing makeup on fez when he falls asleep because *revenge*. rue just watches and supports her, and doesn’t dare wake him up. 

-shouting at each other while playing UNO

-general wholesome chaos
