This was the first of my St. Patrick Day watches in this series that I had never seen. I remember when this came out, thought it was cheesy and avoided it. I'm not too far off. I know I'm a bit late to sharing my thoughts on this one. What I will say is that I had a lot of fun here. This worked better for me than the previous one did. The 3D didn't add a lot aside from one sequence. One of the better ones in the franchise now for me actually. Let me preface that I'm not the biggest fan of this series as even the best are just decent. I'm a completionist though. I watched this to get one step closer to completing the franchise according to Letterboxd. This was a movie that I discovered when working through 1952 horror films. I was shocked to learn this is one of the last Universal Classic run. It features Lon Chaney Jr. and Boris Karloff. This was a movie that I didn't learn about until getting into podcasts. What is interesting is that this was made in Columbus, Ohio where I reside. It also was made with by a production class from Ohio State. We get an interesting Lovecraftian type horror film. It is low-budget so keep that in mind which helps the surreal nature.
