sorry to ask but- what does lip service mean?

lip service usually means “empty words” like a mundane example would be politicians promising good things if they got elected but then not actually doing it

a bsd example would be when nathaniel calls fitzgerald out for not protecting his people, and then fitzgerald got incited to destroy yokohama to prove that his words aren’t just “lip service”

you can, however, interpret the word any way you want! not necessarily based on its real meaning
