"Shit..." Cef stared horrified at what just happened as andy was eaten alive, they wanted to cry but bit back the tears and faced the challenge at hand. There would be time for grief later. Cef heard Shane's request and nodded before darting off. "Yes!" They got to the shed and rummaged around looking for the sheet of metal. Once they found it, they quickly brought it to Shane and handed it to him. Cef frowned in sorrow at Patton knowing the family dynamic would never be the same. -Cef Leecot

“Alright, Roman hand me the hammer.” Roman reluctantly hands Shane the hammer. “I’m going outside the wall, and banging on this so the zombs go over there. We can’t waste any more ammo. Once they’re gone you, and Cef fix up the wall again. I can climb back over. Got it?”

Roman sighs, “Yeah, just be careful.”

Shane nods, and heads down the road to get the zombies at a safe distance away from the house.

Roman grumbles to himself as he starts picking up the broken bits of wall. He then hands Cef a hammer and says, “Maybe second time’s the charm?” with a dry chuckle.

((Ooc: yay! Death and destruction! :} )) Cef nodded at Roman's answer while still reinforcing the wall. They looked up at Shane and grunted through their toil. "You might be right, but thats no reason to-CRAP!" The boarded up patch to the side closest to Logan and Andy burst open and three zombies intruded. "Argh!" Cef ran at the first one running them through. ((Ooc: Is cussing allowed?)) -Cef Leecot

((ooc: yep! curse like a goddamn sailor if you want lol))

“I fucking told you! Jesus Christ!” Shane yells as more zombies pile in. He jumps down, and pulls Patton out of the way as he continues shooting.

Roman takes out his gun, and helps Cef. Logan, and Andy help out, but they’re outnumbered. Shane rushes over, but he’s too late. Andy is pulled down into a small crowd of zombies as he screams, and tries to fight them off.

“Andy, no!” Patton tries to run over, but Shane pushes him back. “Patton no! It’s too late! He’s.. He’s gone, son. Just.. go back inside!”

Patton starts crying, and runs inside to tell his mother what happened.

Roman slams his hammer into a zombies face, and shoots the four remaining ones still coming in through the hole. With the majority of the herd focused on who was once Andy, Roman sneaks past them, and helps Logan down. Logan immediately collapses into Roman’s arms his breath heavy, and uneven. Roman groans, and lifts him up bridal style then makes his way over to Cef, and Shane.

“Alright, new plan. Cef, I need you to run into the shed, and get me a sheet of metal. Should be some near my workbench. Roman, you bring Logan inside to Aunt Gina, but do not tell her what happened. I’ll break the news to her later. Come back out when you’re done. I’ll tell you the plan when we all meet back up.”

Shane nods to Cef, and Roman then climbs back up onto his watchtower. Roman brings Logan inside, and checks on Virgil. Virgil is still panicked, and immediately clings to Logan. Roman exchanges a small smile with Gina then heads back outside his gun still drawn.

Cef needed no further prompting as they rushed to Roman's aid stabbing loose zombies along the way. They immediatly grabbed the supplies necessary for fortification and sped up the process working as hard as they could, only stopping when a zombie got in the way of their work! While working, they turned to Roman. "I'm sorry I hadn't noticed sooner. I was out like a light!" They yelled above the carnage. "Are you a friend of Patton's family?!" -Cef Leecot

Roman looks up at Logan to make sure he’s okay then knocks another zombie off with his hammer, and shakes his head no. “No, my friends and I lived closer to the city. We came out here to find somewhere safer, and Patton’s family brought us in!”

Patton runs back over, and continues helping. Shane comes over, and climbs up on the other makeshift watchtower to help keep the zombies off Patton.

“God they’re everywhere! There’s no way this wall is gonna hold up!” Shane yells.

Patton shakes his head at the negativity from his father, and puts all his effort into reinforcing the wall.

((ooc: continue this however you want but im thinking for my next part the zombies break through near yours & Roman’s side and try to grab Logan & Andy. Andy might be the first death. just letting you know so you can somehow create a moment that leads up to that but only if you want to))

Cef's eyes widened in shock as he heard Shane's plea. Instantly, they scurried out of bed and grabbed their three weapons of choice: Slingshot, pitchfork, and a pistol. These were all they could afford because their crop had not been as fruitful as Patton's last harvest. "Now!? Yikes!! Okay coming!!" In seconds they had locked down their own house and then joined Patton and Roman in reinforcing the wall, using the pitchfork as a quarter staff to knock away zombies. -Cef Leecot

“Cef! That’s Roman over there. Help him board that side up.” Patton says frantically. Roman, as he’s killing a few zombies with his hammer, looks over to you upon hearing his name, and gives a polite nod. Patton yells, “I need to go get something sturdier. This isn’t holding up!” then runs towards the barn.

While all of this is happening up on the fence’s makeshift watchtower Logan almost gets dragged off. Andy pulls him back up, and shoots the offending zombie in the head.

A non-binary neighbor to the left of Patton's family farm is awoken. They were taking a short nap when a loud noise startled them. "Wha-what? Whats going on?" Carefully, they opened their window and gazed upon the sight. -Cef Leecot

Patton’s father Shane grabs his gun, and runs next door. He bangs on the door, and yells, “Cef! Anybody! You gotta get out here, and help us reinforce the wall! The herd is here!” He runs back to his farm, and kills any zombies in his way.

Logan, and Patton’s cousin Andy are killing off zombies. Roman and Patton are helping reinforce the wall.

Logan, Virgil, and Roman leave Roman's house when it is no longer their safe place. They come across Patton's farm. His family is warm, and welcoming.

They're there for a week when the herd catches up. Logan, and Roman do everything they can to help Patton & his family while a very panicked Virgil is taken upstairs by Patton's aunt.

Things get bad fast.

What should Logan, Roman, and Patton do? What do the neighbors do to help? Who in Patton's family dies, and who survives? How does this all go down?
