Reasons to become a literature teacher:

*you can offer the students extra credit if they give you book recs (with short reviews maybe) and that really gives everyone the possibility to have good grades if they put in any effort

*you get to make the students write essays and read them!!

*you get to share your excitement for literature and maybe even pass it along to students and as a literature teacher it is so likely that you will become the favourite teacher of all the book nerds and if that isn't your dream then you are not me

*you get to talk about books and authors. For a Living!

As a writer and as a reader I am constantly stuck between wanting to keep all my good ideas to myself and write them into amazing stories before sharing them, and sharing them immediately in the hopes that someone else might see them and write them out for me to read
