U literally make me want to throw my fanfiction in the trash

Oh no please don’t feel that way! I’ve been writing fan fiction on and off for about a decade so I have a decent amount of practice is all. You should have seen the very first fic I ever wrote. I was 16 when I wrote it and it was the worst piece of Mary Sue self insert Supernatural (the tv show) garbage in existence. I literally cringe thinking about it today lol. But I also sometimes like going back to read it just to see how much my writing has grown. Everyone starts somewhere and it’s so important to try and not compare your work to others cause it will only discourage you. Even if you think you’re stuff isn’t the best, it’s practice and it’s helping you get where you want to go! Also going on experience, we are often way more harsh on our own writing then other people’s. Many times I write what I feel like is garbage but people will then say they love. Long story short don’t be too hard on your writing and just keep at it (and please don’t throw it in the garbage!) ❤️
