Alistair, I could rave all day about the eloquence of your diction and dialogue. Your imagery is enchantingly poetic and yet, it has a mechanical edge, as if to embody Orson’s logical mindset. That is a difficult balance to strike while constructing a viable setting. So I applaud you for making it look so effortless. Your attention to detail takes beyond the depiction of Orson commonly seen in the films, and even further beyond what we are exposed to in the books. Your supplemental headcanons fill in the gaps with significant events and slice of life moments that canon fails to provide us. Every time you release a new one, I feel like Orson becomes more human. Those flashbacks into his past, along with the little glimpses into his mind you provide us through your writing make him feel authentic. He is not just a cartoony villain. He is a person with thoughts, feelings, strengths and weaknesses. You truly humanize the monster through exposing us to his subtle nuances and mannerism. But you do it in a way that doesn’t undermine his cruelty and selfishness. At the end of the day, he is still very much a villain that we love to hate. And you carry those qualities into each verse you create. All of which have me very intrigued to see how Orson’s story will manifest in a new setting. And how his life may change through new experiences. I’m continuously thrilled to learn more & very grateful to be a mutual & a friend.
Ame you really do spoil me, and I feel eternally grateful for your neverending compliments and can only hope to reciprocate with one of my own analysis for you !
As much as I'd love to say that my portrayal is effortless, but behind the scenes, you and I know there's a lot of work and research needed to make our characters work. Not only must we listen to the canon texts, but we need to tie in supplementary lore texts from a variety of sources, then compare, extrapolate, catalogue, and note.
I think that a lot of your work mirrors the effort you put in. What you see on my dash is a condensed compilation of hours of work. It isn't just me -- of course, and sadly this isn't really something very visible thus it's not often acknowledged.
You, like me, focus on the human behind the monster. Villains or not -- there's method behind their flawed thought processes. They speak the language of violence as unfortunately, that's the only language they've learned throughout their lives. I'm equally a fan of Armitage and your prose takes me on an emotional roller coaster ! I find myself going through many emotions; going from disappointment at the choices he has made, to elation at his victories. He's far more than what meets the eye.
I'm also just as grateful to be your mutual and friend, and hope we can have more threads and conversations in the future !

Verse : New Republic AU
As promised, here's my attempt to condense this AU into a few bite-sized bullet points. While this verse is heavily plotted with @ofpolitics and @inebranlabl but unless you're interested, none of their muses will be directly involved and will only serve as cameos or to spice up the worldbuilding.
I mostly follow Disney canon, so this verse typically spans the Aftermath novel trilogy, Ahsoka, and the Mandalorian. If your blog doesn't follow those particular media that's fine, take it as a Lego block and we'll modify what we can.
Without further ado:-
This verse is a sequel of Orson's rebel AU. It's a long story but tldr, Orson remained loyal to the rebellion and did not, at any point betray them. Despite this, he was narrowly executed in his trial post-Endor but was saved by a tiebreaker vote which understandably angered a huge section of the galaxy.
Orson is married to Satine Kryze. During the rebellion, they stuck him with her ( mostly in the hopes that her pacifism rubs off on him ). Did it work ? Sort of. Buuut he genuinely loves her and she's the only reason why he hasn't gone back to the Imperial remnant and obeys the New Republic. He also took her surname post-marriage because of both safety + sentimental reasons, so he's Orson Kryze. Not everyone respects it so it's fine if your muse still calls him Krennic ( though he'll correct you ).
He doesn't consider himself Mandalorian although he's married to one. He typically doesn't wear any Beskar armour but Orson's already fluent in Mando'a. At the moment he assists Satine with the re-building of Mandalore on Kalevala, especially the designing of buildings and ships. Not all of the Mandalorians accept him ( Bo doesn't :D ) and he's got a lovely cocktail of derogatory nicknames.
The New Republic has placed a lot of restrictions on him. Orson's not allowed to carry a blaster, not allowed to travel off-world without permission from either his 'handler' ( aka Satine ) or the New Republic, not allowed to purchase certain materials in bulk, and more. Both his off-world communications and movements are also tracked. I'd also like to mention that he's banned from stepping foot on certain planets as well such as New Alderaan.
Additionally it's also compulsory for him to drag his ass to Chandrilla ( and later Coruscant ) around 2-3 times a year for evaluation. As I've mentioned before I HC that Orson served as the earliest guinea pig for the amnesty program.
Humourously he's also inadvertently one of the New Republic's best Imperial hunter. They come to him like bees to honey.
Yes he's hunted by a lot of people, New Republic individuals who disagree with the ruling + Imperial Remnant + bounty hunters. Yes it's a miserable life which he deserves. He's surrounded by guards and trusts very little.
There's a lot more but these are the basic points, I hope. If you're interested in writing — let me know.

heeey y'all, i've been p busy with life throughout this week and i suspect it to be the same this weekend as well. so I may be here or I may be deep in stardew valley to relax. regardless i hope you have a wonderful weekend.
that said this is coming from a conversation i had in my server but ... i'm very ok if you're just here to 'admire from afar' and have no intention to RP. i'm cool if you just want to chill and like / comment on my posts. interaction can be difficult. however i can't tell the difference so i'd appreciate it you let me know so i don't softblock you for no interest !
to be clear, i think this is very different from people who aren't 'interested', as mentioned in my rules. i'm ok if you don't want to write or anything, but i just get uncomfortable with complete apathy and/or with people who are 'takers'. i'll softblock if i feel that this is the case with you. but otherwise we're cool.

✍️ — what other platforms have you roleplayed on ?
other than tumblr, then discord. in the past i have roleplayed on platforms like gaiaonline, facebook, omegle, and deviantart. i probably indirectly exposed my age but eh, it wasn't a secret.
🗒 — what is/are your favorite genre(s)/theme(s) to write ?
zombies ... ? zombies. i find zombie apocalypses very easy to plot with, especially against crossover muses. you don't have to come up with an elaborate plot about how our muses met. sometimes all you need is a 'wrong time, wrong place' scenario and taa-daa ! zombie plots are also a far more colourful 'first meeting' thread compared to others since they're flexible + forces muses into emotionally charged situations without much prompting + allows angst / fluff / etc. in all -- if you're up for it and are out of ideas, i recommend zombie plots.

We've really only just met which isn't a bad thing at all, as I find that each meeting is an opportunity for something new. So far I find you a very pleasant individual to chat with and it's always great to see your passion towards what you love to do, whether it's your muses and/or the language you're currently studying !
I'm sorry you're not feeling very well and hope that the coming days would be gentler and easier on you. Please take your time, take care, and there's no hurry to rush into any interactions. :)

Sunlight touches only within confined purview of holodramas , RENDERING THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS MOOT. The latter remained above untouched precipices ⸻ untouchable to all but the selected few. Neither fortune nor power guaranteed happiness; a lesson seared deeply within the ANNALS of the mind. Time & experiences further proved his point for the Director had found himself either witness or judge of one too many broken families.
The senator’s marital troubles was hardly a secret , least of all to him. In public the pair played their elaborate masquerade ⸻ fashioning themselves as amicable to one another. He would side-eye their fake smiles , observing iron-clad masks with a cocktail of bemusement and fascination. It was hardly inconspicuous yet invisible social bureaucracy dictates that others play along to this facade. Whether through ignorance or theatrics , all parties politely presumed a romantic angle to their ill-starred union , earning a subtle derisive snort & eye roll from Krennic.
Such bizarre unions were hardly common during his childhood & he begrudgingly admit that the liberty to choose one’s marriage partners was a rare privilege not afforded to the Core World elites. The Erso’s were brought to mind. Despite his disapproval of the union , Galen chose the composition & warden of his prison cell. Even if doomed to fail ⸻ at the very least the injury was self-inflicted.
He shook his head before allowing a soft exhale to ensue. Breath fogged against the glass flute as he took a sip ⸻ allowing a long-drawn pause to fall, ❛ Teenagers are teenagers. Her opposition is only natural in the face of what she deems to be parental tyranny. ❜ Krennic began with a nonchalant shrug. Naive disobedience was a common affliction of adolescence. He had not been an exception to this DISEASE as well during his own boyhood. Of the pair , Galen was the more rational individual; urging caution where the young Krennic would have leapt into abyss without a second glance. A grim smile unfurled. Perhaps he & Leida had far more in common.
❛ There isn’t much you can do unless you’re prepared to wage psychological warfare against your own daughter. If my mother had told me to come down , I would’ve climbed higher just to show her I could. Your daughter , unfortunately , is cut from the same cloth. ❜

❝ Where the personhood of Emperor Palpatine ended and where the personhood of Press Secretary Valorum began, nobody really knew. They were so deeply intertwined that the galaxy frequently wondered whether Press Secretary Valorum ever had an individual soul of her own — or, if she was a mere puppet all along. ❞

I hope to write more soon but the schism between the Republic military & the Jedi was pretty severe during the clone wars. This was only briefly touched upon in several Clone Wars & TBB episodes but it elaborated further in some novels.
We see in Tarkin that a lot of Republic military personnel believed that the whole Clone Wars was orchestrated by the Jedi themselves, that Dooku never actually left the Jedi Order and were under their orders, and the sheer resentment many of the officers have that their experiences and opinions were supplanted by Jedi Generals, many of whom were either younger and / or less experienced than they are.
Eg. Look at Tarkin himself. If you've watched the Citadel arc in TCW, he was incredibly snappy at everyone. But that's because he just went through weeks of torture & his Jedi commanding officer had ignored his advice, resulting in their capture in the first place. Additionally Tarkin's homeworld was ignored by the Jedi as well, so obvs lots of resentment burning.
Orson's somewhat similar as well, but unlike Tarkin, he has lesser exposure to the Jedi. So his feelings are more of a theoretical dislike than boiling resentment.
