Jay​:

GRAVEROBBING SEEMED TO BE common everywhere except within Jay’s world (at least from gambler’s perspective). Most corpses lay within piles to be burned by the ones employed to do so, whilst the rich were buried in specific areas and heavily guarded. Perhaps that’s where their desire to be cremated came from? The more time spent thinking on it the more Jay’s head began to hurt.

They seem unaware of Andrew breaking eye contact and red irises land upon the hourglass currently adorning the gravekeeper’s neck. Though it always appeared to be there, something about it now seemed to interest them; Jay would definitely ask about it later.

“I don’t know that I’d say bad, just the people it happened to were well liked enough that word got around. I never really had any trouble with it, though the cemetery I worked at is very well respected. You’d really have to be a fool to rob it.” He certainly had to be at least, after all he’d been on the verge of getting caught. He stopped fidgeting for now.

“Why don’t we change subjects, I’ll end up in a shitty mood if we talk about such bleak things all day.”

Akira contently cooks some le blanc style curry for himself. The scent of the small cafe’s coffee or curry always bringing him back to the afternoons spent there reading at the counter, learning to make coffee or doing word puzzles. It was a cozy feeling.
