My lil’ damaged deer skull was just gathering dust on the window sill, so I painted it to match my decor and put it to a new use :3

Do you have any tips for a Goth But Tasteful bedroom? I love all the Halloween-ey ones but I don't know that I could sleep in them...
yes!!!! i love this prompt! i wonder when people aregoing to get sick of me not directly answering their questions and insteadrunning with it in my own direction…my ideal gothic bedroom isa mixture of american gothic farmhouse in the middle of a field with no humansfor 300 miles + norwegian fjords + dark swedish forests in the fall time +witchy minimalism.
I think a key part of this look is lots of dried flowers (I have had this herb drying rack for years and love it), mirrors (cheap and cute!!) of different shapes, and picture frames. Old photos or original art fits well with the theme.
Apothecary shelves like this are perfect. This card-catalogue inspired credenza is really cool. This apothecary shelf is cheap and shaped like a tombstone and I love it.
Skulls and busts to hang on the wall help as well.
A big wrought iron bedframe or something simple and witchy like this would fit well. It’s so fucking cheap and nice looking I am tempted to buy it for myself!!!! This one too, what the hell. Black silk sheets combined with a raw linen comforter would look amazing. Sidenote - I have really rough and coarse yet straight hair and switching to silk pillowcases has changed my life!
Wall sconces are great and useful. Don’t forget the black candles. This one would also be a good fit - it’s a cat candle that reveals a skeleton as it melts. This apple might fit too.
I’m obsessed with this hanging vanity thing - I would swap out the knobs but this is so fucking cool and reasonably priced.
Mixed materials are something to pay attention to when crafting this look. Metal, wood, and glass are all used liberally but they are in the same tones so they work well together.
some instagram accounts that fit this theme: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6
side note….there is an amazing goth bar in West Seattle that has a+ vegan food and ridic furniture and decor. I think it’s called Alchemy or The Alchemist or something.
