Hey. What color do we prefer for Leon's eyes?

His eye color has changed from artwork to artwork until they finally decided on dark blue for all modern depictions. But I know the various changes made to Destiny are disliked by a fair amount of people.

So, what color do we prefer? Pastel blue, pastel purple, gray, or the modern dark blue?

I personally prefer the pastel purple so that his turtleneck has a purple friend.

Edit: I should have added bright neon purple too I guess if the fanart is anything to go by

It's not exact, but the overworld theme for Tales of Commons shares a bit of a motif with Dawn of Ratatosk or whatever's overworld theme. Raising a Curtain.

I don't know who composed for Commons, so I don't know if it's the same person and they just recycled it (it can happen even unintentionally) or if it was a happy accident. But Tales of Commons came out before Knights of the New World or whatever.

Just an observation as I give each soundtrack a listen.

edit: Disregard, I'm a little fool who forgot Raising a Curtain came from Phantasia first. It's still not exact though.

Thank you so much! Those were all avenues I had tried and failed on, but I guess I have no idea how to properly navigate talesofsearch. Because I did try just putting "jingo" into the search bar and it spat the no results message at me. Had even tried popping "jingo シンフォニア" into google hoping I'd get something but the most relevant result was a pinterest re-upload of their Martel ref sheet. I need to upgrade my detective skills!!

It's great that that index is still around and useful. It's so hard to find art from older Tales titles that aren't Symphonia or Abyss because most of it was made during the times of the Old Internet and the artists never re-uploaded their stuff to places like pixiv after taking their personal websites down. :( I browsed Japanese webrings back in the day, but I was only interested in Symphonia back then, so I never saved any of the other art. So much lost to time.

Alright so at first it felt pretty good, finally being able to play the aggressor, but then I felt bad because it was kind of s*xually harassing him until he liked it.

But then I realized. He is not different from every overconfident overbearing asshole in most big dating sims. He is absolutely the same weirdo that's only written that aggressive to assuage the player's guilt for having desire in the first place. It's just that the main character is also that same kind of asshole and they're clashing in a war to find who will break first and be the bottom.

It's great. Cocky asshole meets cocky asshole.

Edit: The language police who lose their shit at the top/bottom usage might assume I meant a male MC but the joke is on you; this post is neutral one-size-fits-all but feMC's strap sure isn't.

Listening a little more, his manner of speech isn't even super rough like I expected it would be. The inflection is super rough, but the words themselves are less rough and more to-the-point.

What does everyone think is a good strategy for free time events in a first time, spoiler-free playthrough?

I was thinking of having a friend play through the series and I want them to feel satisfied with their choices without feeling like they wasted time on someone who was about to die, but I also don't want to tell them which character to spend time with because that'll eventually become a way to predict who is/isn't on the chopping block.

So basically, those who have played all the main games and are very familiar with FTEs and how they can be disappointing if you choose the wrong character, if another mainline game came out tomorrow, how would you go about doing the free time segments?

I just realized why Rev's human face looks so weird and uncanny and kinda ugly to me.

All male characters in older cinematics don't have eyelashes. Others have a good deal more definition around their eyes to make up for it, but Rev's got hardly any.

In newer cinematics, they do have eyelashes.

But we don't get to see Rev as he was when he was human in any newer cinematics. Just the head in the jar, which is meant to be entirely hairless, even lacking eyebrows.
