Just finished watching Star Trek DS9 S4E4 The Visitor. And holy fuck. I can’t remember the last time a movie or show made me cry this much.

It was so heartbreaking watching Jake go through that. And Benjamin Sisko is hit with this massive amount of trauma in what feels like ten minutes, then he has to go back to Real time with no one knowing what happened, or Didn’t happen😩

Had to explain to my dad’s nurse that he’s not paraplegic, it’s just that bc of his violent tendencies the last facility kept him drugged and bed bound 24/7 to the point that he no longer has the muscles/strength to stand. And thats a significant difference

I mentioned to someone that I’m looking at the possibility of setting up my dad in a Hospice in Mexico. They told me that I shouldn’t be doing something like that just because it’s Easier and Cheaper.

Right now, I pay nothing, and have do nothing. At most, I’ll give my mom the occasional ride to the clinic.
