once angels, demons and witches roamed the planes, it did not take long for other human beings to notice the possibility of immortality and superhuman abilities. there were many souls that feared the mere thought of their presence, while others planned on taking advantage of the situation. many centuries ago, there were two noble families that were torn apart by their thirst for wealth and power, turning friends into rivals. both sides summoned a demon, wishing to make a deal that would bring the opposite family to its knees. there was not much that any of them could offer ā a demon hardly cares about human coin ā but the dark entity was amused by the lengths that each of them would go to just to harm others. they gave each family a task, promising to reward them if they managed to complete it ā and they both did. their success brought smirks to their faces, but none of them were as wide as the demonās. to ārewardā the families, they put a curse on both.
one family was bound to the night. the sun was to burn them in its light and their thirst could no longer be quenched by mundane foods and drinks. they started to long for blood and their hunger was hard to control. so hard, that many members of the original family did not live to see the eternity that their curse initially left ahead of them. but as the remaining members fed on blood, they gained an even greater immortality than those of the children they sired ā to spread the curse, they could turn others with a simple bite, so long as it resulted in death. the opposing family were cursed into the first werewolves.
to this day, there is a known rivalry between the two species. they continue to blame each other for their respective curses ā and the fact that a werewolf bite can be lethal to a vampire only increases the tension between them. what the two vampire siblings have been up to since they've turned is utp.
* if there are currently any original vampires in play, any new joining original must match their faceclaim to theirs. there is the possibility of them being another ethnicity ( through magic or body swapping ), but this must be discussed with the main before applying.

jasperās family have always been werewolves, born from a relationship between wolf and woman. they were raised on bloodshed, on celebrating the full moon, on basking in the glow as their spine cracked and ripped. it was almost as though they were convinced by their father that it was something to be venerated, not shunned; whether that emotion lingered or strayed is up to you as the writer. iām looking for three siblings that, despite their differences, are as close as they can beāthey might explode into arguments over the ins and outs of their lycanthropic blood, but will always resolve their tensions by the end of the night in fear that it might be their last. it is also canon that one of jasperās siblings loves the bloodshed a little bit too much, and killed her schoolteacher which was the catalyst to the finch family moving to america from manchester. her placeholder name is maren, but if you wish to fill that role iām up for shifting things around to fit the narrative! otherwise she can exist as an npc.
