Hello and welcome to the first event of 2024 hosted by Tarlos Weekly Prompts. This even focuses on the 1 year wedding anniversary of TK and Carlos! Their anniversary is 5/16/23 (that's the day the show aired and until we get told otherwise is the date I will be using for the anniversary).
This event will run until May 16th. All things created for the event needs to be posted by then and will (hopefully) be added to a masterlist that can be reblogged. There will be a variety of prompts to choice from for the event (listed below). As always, if you have any questions please ask me! I hope everyone has fun with this!
Let's go over some rules first which are more or less the same as they always are for this blog.

We are very happy to welcome you all to our first Tarlos Secret Cupid Exchange, 2024 edition!
We know this is very short notice but after realizing there's no other Tarlos Valentine's event happening this year, we decided to act quickly - and we hope you will all join us 💕
How does this work?
It's quite easy: sign up using our form so we can match you with someone to create for (your giftee) and with someone who will create something for you (your Cupid). You choose what you want to create and what you want to receive, and it doesn’t have to be the same sort of creation. Once you receive the information for your giftee, you begin creating until posting dates come, so you can share your gift with your recipient. And, in the meantime, you can always share thoughts and spread the love with your giftee — but remember to keep it anon because this is a Secret Cupid Exchange!
Schedule
JANUARY 14th - JANUARY 21st — The sign-up form will be available for joining the exchange.
JANUARY 24th — You will receive an email with all the information regarding your recipient. Please let us know if you don’t receive it, so we can resend it.
FEBRUARY 2nd — First check-in through email, to keep in touch and see your progress. This is the moment to let us know if you need more time or if you need to drop out. This is also the moment to claim your preferred posting date.
FEBRUARY 5th — You will be notified about your posting date.
FEBRUARY 14th - FEBRUARY 18th — Tarlos Secret Cupid Big Reveal! All the creations will be posted by the Cupids and reblogged to the event Tumblr.

Ahh, so yeah, that one has been sitting in my docs for some months now 😅 it's completely finished, just not edited yet. I guess I should get to that soon, right?
It's one of the drabble fics I promised a while ago and part of me wants to finish all of them before I post one, which is madness, I know... oh well, we'll see, maybe I have reasons soon to post it... a birthday or such 😇 anyway, until then, have a little snippet (under the cut cause ver much NSFW)
He has to keep his hand over TK’s mouth the entire time, able to hear his husband moan and groan and even whimper into it. There was never a chance that TK would’ve been able to stay quiet, not without Carlos’ help.
Carlos fares only slightly better, pressing his face back into TK’s neck whenever it becomes too much. The rest of the time he peppers TK’s shoulders, neck, and back with gentle bites and kisses; he murmurs into his ear the most filthiest things he thought of whenever he’d been lonely in that motel room and needed a way to find release; nibbles on TK’s earlobe and sucks hickeys into his neck, claiming his husband back, letting him whine with pleasure all he wants – his hand covers it all.

Summary:

Between a meddling family, copious amounts of hot chocolate, and quiet nights, TK and Carlos are left with plenty of time to address those lingering feelings and their rocky past…

“You cannot be serious,” TK mumbles as he sees the board at the airport.
It’s not like this is a real surprise, the snowstorm has been building up and up and up since last night; but did the conference coordinators think it was worth shortening the first responder safety instruction conference so everyone would be able to leave Nebraska early and maybe evade the disaster? Catch earlier flights before all airports are closed or maybe get on the road before it gets too bad? No, of course not. Given the fact that they’d scheduled this conference so close to the holidays to begin with, TK isn’t even surprised about their lack of compassion.
So here they are, early afternoon on the 21st, with hundreds of first responders from all over America looking up in defeat as the board at the Omaha Airport announces the same for everyone.
All flights are canceled.
They’re stranded in the middle of nowhere, only four days before Christmas. TK might be Jewish but he was really looking forward to the planned family brunch they’ll have at the firehouse on the 25th. Besides, who wants to be stranded in Nebraska?
Good thing then that TK has been a first responder for what feels like his entire life. Not losing his cool since he knows how to handle stressful situations, he quickly reacts; while everyone else is still staring at the board, he straps his duffle over his shoulder and makes a beeline to the car rental service desk. It feels like his initiative has started a domino effect, more people rushing over, and TK wants to jump for joy as he realizes he’s still going to be first in line. Quick reflexes are everything.
Which means he’ll hopefully still get a car because there’s no way a small airport like Omaha will have enough for everyone. Which also means that, as soon as he’s holding the key to his car in his hand, he’s gripping it like the treasure it is. Taking all the necessary papers, he gives the lady behind the desk a smile and a quick thanks, knowing full well that in mere minutes, she’ll be swamped by angry people stranded here. By the tight smile on her face, she knows it as well.
Next thing of order, getting to the parking lot before the crowd does so he won’t be stuck in traffic. He’s rushing so fast, he hardly pays attention to the line he passes – and damn, good thing he was fast – until he accidentally slams right into a solid body, papers and key to his precious car dropping to the ground.
“Shit, sorry.”
“Sorry, you okay?” a warm voice asks and TK freezes right where he’s kneeling on the ground.
He knows that voice.
Damn, he knows it, even if it’s been a few months since he’s heard it as close to his ear as it is right now. And sure enough, as he looks up he stares right into the eyes of none other than Carlos Reyes kneeling right next to him.

Thank you to @cold-blooded-jelly-doughnut for the tag! And yup, after months I'm posting something! I'm really hoping to get back into writing and get some of my projects out! We will see how that goes.

“You’re a dangerous person, Carlos,” TK says in a soft voice as he looks at the man across from him.
Carlos smirks and the look shouldn’t be sending TK’s stomach into a flutter of butterflies. TK wonders where the shy man he had first met months before had gone - not that TK was going to complain about this new side he was getting to see.
“How so?” Carlos asks in a voice that tells TK that Carlos already knows. TK doesn’t have to say it, doesn’t have to spell it out but they both know he will.
“You make me believe that I can have things I want,” TK says, taking a tentative step closer. “That I can have you.”
Carlos reaches out for him and TK closes the distance, a soft sigh falling from his lips as Carlos cups his cheeks. The touch is so simple, so soft that if TK were to close his eyes he’s sure it would feel like he’s imagining it. Carlos runs his thumb over TK’s cheekbone and TK shivers, convinced that this is all a dream he’ll wake up from soon.
“You can have whatever you want, Tyler.”

“Fuck, but I want to,” TK admitted between kisses. “Call me a sap but the thought of saying goodnight to you now feels impossible.”
“If you’re a sap then so am I,” Carlos murmured back, devouring his lips.
“Besides,” TK added, moaning into the kiss. “I haven’t been able to think of anything else these past few days.”
“Anything else aside from…”
TK pulled back and looked Carlos’ right in the eye as he said, “Aside from you fucking me.”

“Well, I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t look too bad. Unless of course you wanted to stop in Topeka so badly to find a five-star hotel.”
“Very funny,” Carlos grumbles as he walks past him, dropping his bag on a chair. “I just think it was too dangerous to still be driving, is all.”
“Which is why we’re stopping here now, in this lovely… cabin in… somewhere, Kansas.”
Carlos gives him a look that shows just how clearly he’s calling TK’s bullshit. “Sure, yes, because you knew they would have a vacancy in this village that I’m pretty sure isn’t more than a main road and three houses on each side.”
“Wow, talk about being a snobbish city boy,” TK replies with a chuckle, and even though Carlos bends down to poke at the fireplace, he’s sure he spots a grin on his lips.
