i've been writing my visual novel script code in google sheets ad of late and wanted an easy way to export it, but i'd be happy if others could make use of this code too ^^🪻🌾

additionally here are some custom formats i use for google sheets :)

Vendetta

SYNOPSIS

Ten years ago, your father was assassinated. They said it was a successful hit-job done by a rival gang or another criminal family and closed the case. But you know better… You were there during the attack after all, even though not exactly in his last moments. You know it’s not that simple.

He deserves better. He was a vigilante, helping the citizens of Elysium City equally when its own superheroes were too busy maintaining their public image and reputation to even bother helping the ‘little folks’. But when they found out about his true identity as the heir of the infamous Morozov Criminal Family posthumously, they quickly closed the investigation as soon as they arrested the one surviving attacker out of the many that participated in that bloody night and considered that justice. There was no more fame or reputation to be gained for finding true justice for a long-retired vigilante who turned out to be a criminal as well, so why spend the energy and manpower? But you won’t accept it. You will seize the truth on your own and spit it on their faces. At least, that’s what you always tell yourself…  

For a decade you have been trapped and tortured in a perpetual hell of your own making, reliving that bloody night every year and furious at yourself for not being a step closer to finding out the truth. Every year, you promise your father that you will bring him the justice that he deserved. And you mean it. You won’t rest until you find the one who killed him. Even if you have to tear apart this rotten city from the inside out, you will stop at nothing to have your vengeance. 

This is your tale, Revenger, and you will decide how you will seize your well-deserved vengeance. Will you finally break the vicious cycle and rise above it all? Or will you become another part in the long blood-soaked cycles of vendetta?

THE PLOT

The world of ‘Vendetta’ is very similar to our own, except that around 35% of the population worldwide are born with abilities and powers. The setting of the story is a fictional metropolis city called Elysium City (located on the West Coast US), where almost half of its population are powered people. Its lenient laws on the usage of powers help make the superhero business and scene in the city boom almost exponentially. 

You will play as the child of an ex-vigilante (who was also the heir of a criminal family) and a famous and legendary superheroine. You are lucky enough to be born with two abilities: Gravikinesis (gravitational field manipulation) and Umbrakinesis (shadow manipulation).

You should have been living peacefully by now, if only your father wasn’t murdered a decade ago. Most of those years you spent living with your uncle as he tried his best in raising you and your childhood best friend, who was also orphaned not long after your father died. 

Now, ten years later, you are not closer to finding out the truth about who killed your father. That is until a recent series of high-profile murders of the city’s well-known superheroes start popping up. And the next target on the list? Your mother. Now, she comes begging for your help, assuring you that the group that has been killing off the heroes is somehow connected to the group that carried out the hit against your father.

She might be lying… or she might be telling the truth. No matter what, you’ll take any path that will lead you closer to finding your father’s killer. A step closer to justice for your father.  A step closer to your vengeance…

Investigate and find out who killed your father and finally find peace for your father… and yourself.

Investigate about the mysterious group who has been targeting the city’s famous and well-known superheroes and their connection to your father’s murder.

Find love, befriend, or make enemies with 4 gender-selectable characters.

Will you follow your uncle’s guidance and become the new head of the Morozov Criminal Family, or will you follow in your father’s footsteps and become the vigilante that the city needs, or maybe you have decided to pursue the fame and glamorous life of being a superhero with the help from your mother instead?

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 05/April/2023

So it's not Friday obviously! :D

But I wanted to get the update out early this week as we'll be releasing post-release content on Friday that I didn't want to disturb with the update.

I sent the final-final files back to Hosted Games!! Oh man, it took a lot to stop myself looking at them but it had to happen at some point. But from this process I am pleased that I already have a new editing plan in place for Book Four. Definitely want it with how big these games are now!

Obviously we'll let you know as soon as the game is released tomorrow! We'll be checking all day for when it releases on the different platforms (hopefully they'll all release at the same time but I'm not sure if that will happen) so as we can let you guys know!

It's hard to work out how I feel at the moment. It almost doesn't feel real that we're finally here after I poured so much of myself into it for so long! But at the same time, my body is just a rush of emotions from intense excitement to extreme nerves which makes for quite the rollercoaster, hehe! Doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight :D

So this is really it! The final countdown is pretty much in hours now :D

I'll talk to you all after Book Three is out!!! Thank you so much for all being here with me through this immense journey!

I literally can’t get this idea out of my head

Ayla’s eyes flutter open, her lips tingling from the kiss and her heart pounds against her rib cage.

Finally.

It finally happened.

Her excitement is short lived when she sees the look on Adam’s face; thick eyebrows pushed together, a look of regret fills his sharp features and she suddenly wishes she could disappear from his green eyed gaze.

It takes a moment for Adam to find his voice as he steps away from their close proximity. Her hand follows him; she knows what he’s going to say and wants to change his mind.

With a quick clear of his throat, Adam finds his voice again, but it’s soft, so soft she could’ve missed it if she wasn’t so intensely focused on him.

“This was a mistake.”

I know we're all excited for spicy N and F scene but consider this too: morning after scenes. The LI and the detective waking up next to each other for the first time, deciding to lay around in bed a little longer.

Maybe F is a little nervous because their relationships always seem to end once they reach this point with someone, or maybe they're still a little giddy about it all.

Maybe N is gonna wake the detective up with kisses and they get to throw on one of their fancy silk robes.

Maybe we get a M morning after scene too and they're pleasantly confused about why they decided to stay this time-

The Wayhaven Chronicles—17/March/2023

Can you believe how close we are to the release of Book Three?! Aaahhhh!

I’m both unbelievably excited and consumed with anxiety—I just really want everyone to enjoy so much! :D

The release content is well underway now, and were so glad to see you’re all enjoying it!

So this week we worked on things for after the Book Three release as well as continuing on with Book Four prep.

The checklists we came up with have really helped to calm me down a little from last week. Although it’s a lot, it definitely is now achievable goals seeing them written out so clearly. Most of it is finally just actually getting down things from past books (variables, events, possible branches, etc), which I have all in my head but at this point—with how much branching and how in-depth the books are getting—need to be actually written down for much easier reference.

But one of the fun things with that is that we’re going through all the previous books again to look for all the variables and where they pop up. It’s been a blast going back to the beginning to where this all started! :D

It’s also been very interesting to see how things have developed and changed from my very original plans to where I’m at now! Some moments came from nowhere and have led to surprising story events, and other things I planned to happen just didn’t come to fruition.

I did also sneak in a little Book Four planning. I’m definitely holding fire on that until all the prep is done and Book Three is released, but…it’s impossible for me not to, hehe! Mostly I’ve been working on the antagonist because they are much more of a… heavy hitter than they other antagonists but in a very different way from the antagonists I’ve had so far in the previous three books.

I've been very excited to write them for a very long time, as well as just what influence they'll have...
