Fern had just finished getting high with her usual choice of poison, so her head was starting to spin a bit and deciding to walk outside to get some fresh air, and find a spot to roll in peace a bit. Though after she opened the door part of her wished she would have stayed in her room. She slid her sun glasses on quickly as she walked past Eli, a small scoff escaping her lips “Well, look who finally decided to show up and grace us with his presence.” she said a bit more sarcastic then intended. Fern looked over at him with a quick glance before she ran her hand through her hair to move it behind her shoulders and opened the mini cooler outside and grabbed a cold beverage and sighed “Do you want anything?” she asked deciding to try and be polite since deep down she did care for Eli glancing at him impatient for an answer.

Brynn was walking outside, her bikini on and a tray of fresh fruit in hand as she made her way to the pool side. She saw Elijah sitting there and she smiled setting down the tray and looked over at him “Listen, there are no injuries allowed this weekend. I am off duty” she teased with a grin, knowing that asking that was probably a lot with this group but she was really hoping not to have to play doctor, at least not in the literal way. So I decided to finally pull out my guitar after a year and honestly with all this free time I have now I may start playing again for the hell of it. I don’t know, but with all this free time I can start actually picking up new hobbies that isn’t the gym,but let’s be honest I’ll find myself in there still.

“shit.. shit.. shit..” arlo stammers as he rounds the corner of the hall, backpack long forgotten as he shuffles to get ahead of the set of rather temperamental lacrosse players he’d recently fucked with. call it a friendly rivalry that begun with the destruction of one of his art projects when he was sketching in the park that led him to tampering with their supply closet with a spectacular display of broken sticks and missing equipment. he’d gotten far enough away that sneaking into a side door without being seeing was a successful move, his back now pressed to the door, chest heaving. “fuck.” he mutters as he pushes his fingers through his hair before his gaze flicks up, jaw going a bit slack. “oh uh.. hey, what’s up?” he muses, eyes landing on a familiar face set in the empty classroom.​

eli  shouldn’t  be  surprised  at  being  interrupted  when  he’s  in  the  middle  of  lighting  one  up  ⸻  especially  considering  the  fact  that  he’s  doing  so  in  an  empty  classroom  ⸻  but  the  presence  of  another  person  still  shocks  him  .  maybe  it’s  because  of  the  suddenness  of  their  arrival  ,  or  maybe  it’s  because  he  had  honestly  expected  no  one  to  be  around  ,  but  either  way  ,  he  breathes  out  a  sigh  of  relief  when  he  realizes  that  it’s  just  arlo  .  “  uh  ...  ”  eli  drags  out  ,  eyes  slowly  darting  around  the  empty  classroom  like  he’s  just  now  realizing  where  he’s  at  .  “  not  much  ?  ”  he  replies  ,  finally  relaxing  back  against  the  desk  again  as  he  settles  the  joint  between  his  lips  .  “  what’s  up  with  you  ,  man  ?  you  busted  in  here  like  you  were  tryin’  to  shake  swat  ,  ”  he  comments  just  as  he  finally  lights  up  and  allows  that  sweet  ,  familiar  burn  to  overtake  him  .

eli  was  nearly  born  on  halloween  ,  which  honestly  should  have  been  his  parents’  first  indication  that  he  would  be  a  problem  !  not  to  stereotype  ,  but  no  way  could  that  be  a  good  sign  !  a  halloween  baby  equals  satan’s  spawn  &  you  can  quote  me  on  that  !  even  though  eli  wasn’t  actually  born  on  the  day  though  ,  he  definitely  came  into  the  world  screaming  bloody  murder  !  his  poor  mother  couldn’t  catch  a  break  &  was  barely  able  to  get  any  sleep  after  being  up  all  day  &  night  with  eli  .

it  seemed  as  though  his  troublesome  nature  only  seemed  to  get  worse  as  time  passed  as  well  &  when  he  was  four  ,  his  mother  actually  had  to  end  up  quitting  her  waitressing  job  to  stay  home  with  eli  .  this  left  only  his  father  working  ,  but  his  salary  as  a  teacher  /  coach  at  the  local  elementary  school  was  just  barely  paying  the  bills  .  not  to  mention  the  fact  that  his  mother’s  mental  health  was  rapidly  declining  right  along  with  his  father’s  patience  .  this  led  to  his  parents  fighting  a  lot  &  the  fighting  led  to  his  mother  eventually  leaving  without  so  much  as  a  goodbye  .

not  one  to  dwell  ,  his  father  immediately  uprooted  their  lives  &  decided  to  move  as  far  away  as  he  could  .  that’s  how  they  ended  up  in  southern  california  of  all  places  .  his  father  was  able  to  get  a  similar  job  to  the  one  he  had  in  spain  ,  but  the  money  was  really  no  better  .  that  didn’t  stop  his  father  from  putting  eli  into  every  sport  he  possibly  could  ,  though  ,  until  he  finally  decided  that  his  son  would  be  the  next  big  hockey  star  !

from  the  time  eli  was  just  six  years  old  ,  his  father  began  pushing  him  to  his  limits  &  began  caring  only  about  eli  doing  well  in  hockey  .  they  basically  had  a  nonexistent  relationship  outside  of  a  coach  /  player  dynamic  ,  but  eli  didn’t  mind  that  much  .  he  filled  up  his  time  with  other  things  &  began  to  fill  the  void  with  different  vices  .

he  picked  up  smoking  at  just  thirteen  &  experimented  with  all  kinds  of  drugs  afterwards  ,  with  cocaine  being  his  drug  of  choice  .  he  also  turned  to  sex  a  lot  of  the  time  in  order  to  feel  wanted  &  loved  in  some  way  ,  but  he  could  never  force  himself  to  stick  around  any  longer  than  that  .

if  anything  ,  his  hard  work  &  one  -  track  mind  when�� it  came  to  hockey  did  kind  of  work  out  in  his  favor  in  the  end  ,  because  he  got  an  athletic  scholarship  to  attend  oakmore  .

overall  ,  eli  isn’t  exactly  an  awful  guy  or  anything  ,  but  he  definitely  is  an  asshole  a  lot  of  the  time  &  can  be  extremely  selfish  ,  too  !

funnily  enough  ,  even  though  eli  is  twenty  -  one  ,  he’s  never  bothered  to  get  his  driver’s  license  ,  so  he’s  always  bumming  rides  off  of  anyone  &  everyone  .

eli  is  a  bit  of  a  control  freak  &  likes  to  have  complete  order  in  his  life  —  when  he’s  sober  ,  that  is  .  he  can’t  live  in  any  kind  of  mess  &  he’s  clean  to  the  point  of  slight  obsessiveness  .  his  therapist  claims  it  has  to  do  with  his  messy  upbringing  &  never  being  able  to  make  his  father  truly  proud  of  him  ,  so  now  eli  does  things  that  he  knows  will  have  the  outcome  that  he’s  after  .

he’s  been  claiming  that  he’ll  stop  smoking  since  he  was  ,  like  ,  sixteen  ,  but  he’s  never  even  actually  tried  .  in  fact  ,  he’s  probably  only  gotten  worse  when  it  comes  to  his  bad  habits  .

eli  has  a  bit  of  a  tattoo  obsession  &  pretty  much  has  his  whole  upper  body  covered  at  this  point  with  no  intentions  of  stopping  .

he’s  always  been  a  bit  aggressive  &  was  known  for  solving  his  problems  with  his  fists  ,  but  when  he  started  taking  hockey  more  seriously  ,  he  instead  focused  all  of  that  energy  into  the  sport  .  it  did  give  him  a  bit  of  a  bad  reputation  in  the  sports  world  &  in  general  ,  but  he  doesn’t  really  care  .
