50 A Softer World Prompts
Send an ask with a number + a ship.
Our love is a forest fire and we are the little things that live in the trees. (Today is the most exciting day of our lives.)
At my worst, I worry you’ll realize you deserve better.  At my best, I worry you won’t. (I’ve never been better.)
If loud, weird public sex is wrong, then being wrong is wicked hot. (right and wrong are just guidelines to hotter sex)
i don’t know what the fuck true love even is but i do want to hang out with you for basically the rest of my life. (let’s hang out - TO THE DEATH)
my five year plan is to maybe go out for ice cream this afternoon? (Live every day like the ice cream store is closing.)
I have loved since you.  But when the new paint gets scratched, there you are underneath. (My heart is layers of scar.)
I know your weakness.  It’s kisses.  You are doomed. (Don’t worry.  We’re all doomed eventually.)
Ah, unrequited love.  When your best isn’t enough. (Participation medals of the heart.)
CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP NOT SURE HOW TO STOP (WHY STOP)
When you touch me, my mind is gone.  The only words I know are lost inside your body. (right in there.)
hey, i’m liking your photos at 2am because i want to make out.  i’m texting you at noon because i want to make out.  i woke up today because i (we don’t need words)
It’s a full moon.  I bought some rope and handcuffs to bring to bed tonight. (beware the moon.)
You aren’t really a good person, but god damn, you make bad look awesome. (no one could steer me right, but mama tried.)
I think I’ve got fireflies where my caution should be. (Instead of slowing down, I just shine brighter.)
No no, we aren’t breaking up!  You didn’t let me finish.  I’m gay for YOU. (And I’m queer for math!)
Roses are red, Violets are blue, You can do whatever you want to me. (please do.)
I do not believe in love at first sight.  But god damn. (Look at you.)
I don’t know how to make things right.  So I’ll just keep pretending that nothing’s wrong. (you know that I’m no good)
When I look at you all I can see are the mistakes we’re going to make. (The future’s so bright.)
If something seems too good to be true, quick!  put it in your mouth! (before anything can go wrong!)
To thine own self be wicked sexy. (And then send pics.)
Today’s a perfect day for naked cuddling.  I don’t even care what day it is.  Every day is perfect. (I’m gonna spend it with you.)
We talk in the dark as we fall asleep, and we are objects in the night sky outside of time. (it is the exact opposite of alone.)
I joined Plenty of Fish to find out who stole my bike.  A fun first date would be going to your house to see if you have my bike. (What a lovely home.  Do you have a shed?)
This town isn’t big enough for the both of us.  Let’s run away together! (Let’s join a street gang!  Is NASA recruiting?)
I love you the way a knife loves a heart the way a bomb loves a crowd the way your mother warned you about, essentially. (the way a human loves another human)
Our love is like.  Our love is only like. (I like you.  I don’t LIKE like you.)
I miss doing nothing with you. (I miss not having to pretend to like your family.)
I hate it when you leave but I love to look at your butt while you walk away. (it gives me sexual arousal.)
In a dark, dark wood there was a dark, dark house and in that dark, dark house I think we should get drunk and fool around. (I want dirt under my fingernails.)
I love the way your face lights up when someone says, “It might be dangerous.” (I am glad we are friends.)
I think you are beautiful and I would like to kiss you.  I can think up some clever lines, if you’d prefer.  But I wanted to say that, first. (None of those lines seemed to be about you or me.)
I cannot help but notice we are sitting-in-a-tree.  So, you know, maybe we could think of something to do… verb-wise. (I want us to gerund, essentially.)
When you’re around I don’t know how to hide my feelings.  I count in binary, in my head.  zero one one zero one one and you count clouds. (while you count clouds)
I hate trying to put my desire into words when my body knows exactly what to say.  Come home. (You can’t start a fire without a spark.)
I love you but I don’t love you enough to give up falling in love. (anyway, happy anniversary!)
on the paper, she had written “you” and she told me “that’s a list of the people who are standing too close.” (I ain’t your pal.)
You are the love of my life so far. (Tomorrow’s just a day away.)
There should be a word for a threat that is also a promise.  Because that is what I want you to hold me down and do. (I love you)
I laugh along but inside I know that it’s true: Being in love is totally punk rock. (quiet kisses are so hardcore)
I don’t believe each person has just one true love, but sometimes we don’t have enough time to find another. (That’s the way it crumbles.  Cookie-wise.)
I would love you more if you were someone who could love me. (buy your love by playing make believe.)
Fun things to yell during sex: Anything. (he is risen.)
I am writing a book of love poetry for you.  For example: “The only reason you could possibly need your music that loud is if you were planning to listen from my apartment.  You downstairs motherfuckers.” (Every day I hope to see a moving truck pull in.  Or an ambulance.)
when I picture you with your new lover I get angry, and then sad, then kinda horny. (I miss you)
We are terrible for each other, and, yes, we are a disaster.  But tell me your heart doesn’t race for a hurricane or a burning building.  I’d rather die terrified than live forever. (mistakes aren’t always regrets)
If they invented a way to actually have sex over the internet you and I could use that glorious technology for internet hugs. (You know, when I wasn’t using it for sex.)
Life would be way easier if I were easier. (Fact.)
I want to rob lumber mills and hospitals with you and just bewilder the hell out of people the way love should. (We will make everything wrong in the right way.)
I will always love you, or anyway I will always have loved you now. (And you will always be someone who was beautiful, once.)

I've read all of the Warren content I swear and I'm bad at plotting fanfiction so 🤷‍♀️ Movie Warren just is not the same guy as comic Warren and I for one am done with it
dw i have the same grievances with movie Warren. He’s very underdeveloped and misses the whole point of why Archangel is great and was a fitting end for Angel as a character and his transition to Archangel.
I DO love to write Warren......so like hopefully...soon there’s going to be a little more content ≧◡≦

What's up is that literally no one writes comic Warren stuff I feel like you're a rare breed. Ben Hardy is fine but he is not my Warren Worthington the Third
Swan, my good friend, at duck_life on AO3 actually also writes a lot of very good Warren content.
I’m not a huge fan of the movies, bcus that’s just a guy with wings. I Do very much like writing Warren content and I’m glad someone out there enjoys it. ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾

"this is all a fucking disaster" trevan
This is all a fucking disaster.
*
Trevor fell back into the bed. He rubbed his face with his hands and sighed loudly. “This is all a fucking disaster.”
“It’s not that bad,” Evan responded, walking into the room behind him. “It could have been worse.”
Evan was empathetic was Trevor’s situation, but he was more concerned about the fact that Trevor was tracking dirt into the bedroom with his dress shoes still on. He stared awkwardly at Trevor’s feet as Trevor lamented the situation.
“My boss is going to kill me. And I mean, actually, kill me, how could I lose a story like that? It would’ve been my breakthrough hit! I can’t believe someone sabotaged this for me.”
The story was about an anti-mutant group, but somehow it had been disbanded within the last forty-eight hours. Trevor had plans to infiltrate the group and coerce information out of the people there, but everything went to shit this morning when no of the concrete members he had originally hunted down even remembered that it existed.
This had the hands of someone meddling into this just to fuck with Trevor, but Evan wouldn’t bring it up right now. There were more pressing matters at hand.
“I’m sure that it will be fine.” Evan approached Trevor and sat next to him. His weight caused the bed to creak slightly. Trevor’s bed was not reinforced, and this was a common occurrence. “You have evidence right?”
Evan playfully knocked his knee against his boyfriends. Perhaps that would give him the hint of taking his shoes off.
“Yeah, why?” All of Trevor’s eyes looked towards Evan.
“Why not write a story on how this cult or whatever it is suddenly disappeared? There has to be a good mystery behind that.” Evan suggested.
Trevor shot up immediately, getting up on the bed with his shoes on, to hug Evan. “Oh my God, you’re right! There has to be a story there! You’re such a genius!”
Evan couldn’t even enjoy the hug knowing that Trevor’s dirty shoes were leaving an impression on his silk sheets.

"do it. i dare you." + jean and warren (brotp or shippy, up to you)
do it. i dare you.  *
It was this sort of childish endeavor that Jean and Warren had gone on, skinny dipping in the middle of the night on the outskirts of the city. They were far too old for this, but the thrill of being stripped bare in the middle of the night was exhilarating, even for those as cautious as Jean.
Warren went first, splashing into the deep murky water of the pond they had found. It was lifeless minus the little bits of algae that were floating on top. But it was a pond, surely there was nothing hiding in there. Warren’s merry laugh as his hair resurfaced curled Jean’s lips into a smile.
She was bare, naked, in front of a man who wasn’t the man she loved, but filled her with the same joy. She felt like she was on display for Warren like he would size her up like a piece of meat, but it never happens. Jean waited for him to say something crude or unfriendly, but all he did was try to encourage her to leap into the deep end.
Despite being naked, and having driven all the way out away from the city to be with him, there was still a sense of hesitation. Warren’s intensity was tempting, alluring. Jean almost wanted to get completely lost in him. He teased her as she stood on the edge of the pond, unsure whether or not she should go through with it. Warren gazed at her with his honey-colored eyes, somehow still maintaining that devilish sparkle.
“Do it. I dare you,” Warren laughed and splashed her with water. “You’re already wet, why not just go through with it?”
“Or what? Are you going to pull me in?” Jean responded eyebrow raised.
“You know I wouldn’t make you do anything you wouldn’t want to do.”
Jean wouldn’t be a buzzkill, not this time. She liked being fun, she wanted to be fun and not a stick in the mud, and Warren was the poster boy for a good time. She wanted to feel bad and dirty for once without the guilt of purity.
“Fine.”
She closed her eyes and took a dive into the water. It was cold and dirty, but there was a feeling of intense excitement that rushed over her when she came out and Warren pulled her out of the water. Nothing ever came close to the feeling of Warren’s warm body against her, and the moonlight shining and reflecting against the water.
Everything was so beautiful, for just that one moment.

"quit it or i'll bite" iceangel
quit it or i'll bite
*
It was probably justified. Bobby Drake at sixteen was an annoying little gremlin, and even at thirty-five, Warren had some leftover teenage angst which Bobby’s shrill voice activated within him. They had had a disagreement over something, and while Warren should have been the bigger man and let this go, he instead decided to get even.
This was Bobby. Not his Bobby, but a Bobby that would commit the sins of annoying him at some point in his life. He wouldn’t have a screaming match with a teenager, but he was going to drag this teenager halfway across the Jean Grey school to demand his Bobby for an apology.
Warren had Bobby tucked underneath his arm, as they were airborne. Bobby was thrashing in his arms. He was very obviously not enjoying the fact that this Warren didn’t pull any of his punches.
“Put me down, or I’ll bite!” Bobby screamed, it was a move that usually worked when his Warren used it. He hated the idea of being immobilized in mid-air with no way down. His reflexes weren’t quick enough to create an ice bridge if he fell, not yet anyway.
“Okay,” Warren said flatly, but with a wry smile on his face, “I will.”
Bobby didn’t count on the fact that Warren developed a sense of humor in the decades that he hadn’t lived through yet. Warren let go of Bobby, sending him into freefall. Bobby’s heart almost stopped when he felt the whirlwind, knowing that he might be die. He began screaming, calling out for help.
But before he knew it, he was caught again by Warren. It was only a few seconds of paralyzing fear, but Warren caught him. He was now blue, with metallic wings, and deep crimson eyes. He had that fucking annoying smile that he always had when he got his way.
Bobby gripped tightly onto Archangel, shivering in fear, knowing that Warren had developed a sick sense of humor because he had died a couple of times. They landed on the lush green grass of the quad area with a thud, and Warren let Bobby down, but Bobby was still gripping onto him.
This Warren was a lot colder than his Warren and was a lot meaner.
“You can let me go, you’re on the ground now,” Warren said, he hadn’t quite let Bobby go, as a response to Bobby’s iron grip on his back. “You can’t fall through the ground.”
“How do I know you’re not going to toss me up in the air and try to kill me again?” Bobby whined. It was a valid response, considering Warren had just considered manslaughter a few moments ago.
“I was never going to kill you. Just scare you a little.” Warren moved his hand to ruffle Bobby’s curly dark brown hair.  Bobby let out a deep sigh, somehow knowing, this was going to happen a lot in his future.
