Kim Yo-jong is the younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. She joined the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in 2007, eventually serving as secretariat to her father, Kim Jong-il, until his death in 2011. Kim Yo-jong continued to ascend - подниматься her party's ranks ряды under her brother's rule, taking control of his image as first vice-department director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department and later becoming an alternate member of the WPK's powerful politburo. After making a highly publicized appearance at the 2018 Winter Olympics, Kim joined her brother for his denuclearization summits with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Early Life and Education
Kim Yo-jong's birthdate listed as September 26, 1987. She spent her early years at her mother's Ch’angkwang Hill residence in central Pyongyang with her two older brothers. According to family chef Kenji Fujimoto, the family would celebrate her birthdays at another home in Wonsan.
In 1996, Kim was sent to Switzerland to continue her education. She began attending Liebefeld Hessgut public school and later was joined by Kim Jong-un at Liebefeld-Steinhölzli public school, the two enrolled under pseudonyms. Although they lived with an aunt and uncle and were served by a staff of housekeepers and bodyguards, the time abroad was said to be an isolating experience that drew the siblings closer together
Virtually nothing is known about Kim Yo-jong's activities in the years that followed her return to North Korea in 2000 or 2001, though she reportedly graduated from Pyongyang's Kim Il-sung University in 2007 with a computer science degree.
Sister of Kim Jong-un
Kim Yo-jong is the younger sister of Kim Jong-un, the Supreme Leader of North Korea, and reportedly one of his closest aides. As first vice-department director of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Propaganda and Agitation Department, she is said to be in charge of managing her brother's image and promoting the "charm offensive" that marked his outreach to South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump, even as he continued to threaten his enemies with nuclear attacks.
When reports of Kim Jong-un's poor health surfaced in April 2020, the media focused on Kim Yo-jong as a possible successor. Some analysts suggested that she is the most likely choice to follow her brother, given her ties to the "Paektu" bloodline that the family claims for divine ruling rights, while others argued that the male-dominated WPK would prefer a collective leadership.
Daughter of Kim Jong-il
Kim Yo-jong is the youngest child of North Korea's second leader, Kim Jong-il, and his consort Ko Yong-hui, a Japanese Korean dancer. Along with Kim Jong-un, the couple had an older son, Kim Jong-chul, while Kim Yo-jong also has a half-sister, Kim Sol-song. Another half-sibling, Kim Jong-nam, was killed in Malaysia in 2017, allegedly at the Supreme Leader's behest.

The Long Night of Museums (or the Night of Museums) is a cultural event in which museums and cultural institutions in an area cooperate to remain open late into the night to introduce themselves to new potential patrons. Visitors are given a common entrance pass which grants them access to all exhibits as well as complimentary (бесплатный) public transportation within the area.
The first Long Night of Museums (German: Lange Nacht der Museen) took place in Berlin in 1997. The concept has been very well received, and since then the number of participating institutions and exhibitions has risen dramatically, spreading to over 120 other cities throughout Europe, as well as elsewhere, in Argentina and the Philippines.
It drew (draw - вызывать) on a European heritage of all-night cultural events, such as the annual White Nights Festival, a long-standing cultural festival in St Petersburg.

The pros and cons of renting a basement apartment
Alexa Blay and her husband rented a basement apartment in Toronto, Ontario, for about a year and a half. On the upside, she estimates they saved about $300 a month on rent. Plus, the landlord threw in perks like free parking and utilities that weren’t typically extended to renters in nearby above-ground apartments.
Though Blay says there were downsides that came with their downstairs living situation: Frigid temps in the winter, little daylight, and when her landlords were in the backyard, they had a clear view into Blay’s kitchen through the small windows. But the real dealbreaker?
“The spiders,” she says. “They ranged from house spiders to yellow sac spiders that would jump down off the ceiling onto us.”
Basement apartments (you may see them advertised by their more charming aliases: “garden-level apartments”) come with a unique set of pros and cons—some of which you might not fully discover until you actually move into one and go through your day-to-day routine. You could also run into some legality issues if the basement unit isn’t up to your city’s codes.
“Even though we loved having affordable rent in a good neighborhood, the cons quickly outweighed the pros,” says Blay, who runs a cooking blog, Key to My Lime.
Here’s what else you need to know before locking into a lease (аренда) for a basement apartment, or signing closing documents to purchase one.
Basement apartments vs. garden apartments
Garden-level is a loose term, says New York City real estate agent John Jenis. It could mean there’s green space in front or in back of the building, which might be accessible to the apartment. Typically if you show up to look at a “garden-level apartment,” what you’ll find is an entrance at ground level, Jenis says. Not quite as glamorous as the lush courtyard you might have envisioned, right?

It's neither about studying nor
traveling, it's about quarantine.
It's about harsh fighting between life and death, between mankind and virus.
But it's no time to worry! it's time to work harder and to do out best to overcome a pandemic.
I wish everyone a lot of power and energy, and of course productive study!

Lise Meitner was an Austrian nuclear physicist . Among other things, in February 1939 she published together with her nephew Otto Frisch the first physical-theoretical explanation of nuclear fission.
School, university and doctorateediting
She completed her school career at a middle school because girls were not admitted to high schools. After finishing school, Lise Meitner passed the French teacher exams . In addition, she prepared for her Matura in self-study and passed the matriculation examination in 1901 at the age of 22 at the Vienna Academic Gymnasium.
In 1901 Lise Meitner began studying physics, physics, mathematics, philosophy at the University of Vienne. Her most important academic teacher there was Ludwig Boltzmann . Already in the first years she dealt with radioactivity issues . She received her doctorate in 1906 as a second major in physics at the University of Vienna .
training, where she mainly wanted to listen to lectures with Max Planck . There she met the young chemist Otto Hahn for the first time , with whom she was to work for the next 30 years. She worked with Hahn - like him - as an "unpaid guest" in Planck's work room, a former wood workshop, in the chemical institute of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University on Hessische Strasse. Since women were not yet allowed to study in Prussia at the time , she always had to enter the building through the rear entrance (задний вход) and was not allowed to enter the students' lecture and experiment rooms. This ban only fell in 1909 after studying women was officially introduced in Prussia.

A good night’s sleep is just as important as regular exercise and a healthy diet.
Research shows that poor sleep has immediate negative effects on your hormones, exercise performance, and brain function
It can also cause weight gain (набор веса) and increase disease risk in both adults and children.
In contrast, good sleep can help you eat less, exercise better, and be healthier.
Over the past few decades, both sleep quality and quantity has declined. In fact, many people regularly get poor sleep.
If you want to optimize your health or lose weight, getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important things you can do.

Christmas in Britain - when everyone takes a break

Britain doesn't have a national holiday - we have no Bastille Day, no Independence Day, no Founder's Day: instead we have Christmas.
Christmas in Britain, and most particularly (в частности) in England, is the biggest party season of the year. Christmas Day itself, the start of the great holiday period, is the one day in the year on which the head of state (голова государства)- the Queen - speaks to the nation. Christmas Day is the high point of a festive period that lasts at least two days, but depending on the calendar, can become a holiday period of up to nine days, and one which people have been getting ready for up to two months.
The essential (основные) Christmas holiday in England can be up to four days off in a row (не подряд). Not only is Christmas Day, December 25th, a public holiday, but so is the day after Christmas, December 26th, known as Boxing Day. In addition, according to a now-established tradition, if one or both of these holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, Britons enjoy one or two extra days of public holidays on the Monday and possibly on the Tuesday that follow. In 2020, December 25th being a Friday, most activity in Britain except shopping will close down from some time on Thursday December 24th to Tuesday 28th inclusive. Some firms let their employees off as from the evening of December 23rd, and until the morning of January 2nd. As for public transport, services are considerably reduced during the two days of 25 and 26 December
Among the major activities of modern Christmas in Britain, the Winter sales are particularly important (очень важны). In Britain, people do not need to wait until January, the winter sales begin in England on 26th or 27th December, if not before, because stores are free to have Sales as and when they want ..... and notably to organise them when the people are still on holiday, not after the holiday period ends. Throughout the Christmas and New year period, stores are always full - to the point that gift-vouchers (купоны) have become a popular form of Christmas present, allowing the recipient to buy the gift they really want, and make the most of the bargains (сделка, соглашение) that are to be had in the Christmas - New Year sales period.
Even if many traditions keep changing, the English Christmas is still defined in terms of great traditions that date back to the nineteenth century or before. These include Christmas cards , Christmas carols , decorations and the Christmas tree, gifts and Christmas dinner – which is often really christmas lunch.
Even if shopping is now a more important part of Christmas for most people than remembering the nativity (рождения) of Christ, the origins of Christmas as a Christian  festival are not forgotten. In many public and private schools, especially at primary level, the "nativity play", a theatrical staging of the birth of Christ, remains an important event in the calendar; and according to a recent ORB survey, over a third of the UK population attends a Christmas Mass or a carol service during the Christmas period - far more than the 3% or 4% of the population that are regular church-goers .
The British love singing, and singing is part of English life, whether at school, with friends, or in church. As in the US, many well-known singers began their musical life as part of a school or church choir; and even at a time when few Brits go to church, 68% of the population say they are Christian (according to the 2011 census) and Christmas carols are familiar to almost everyone, Christian or not.  A tradition that continues, especially in the country, is that of Carol-singing, when groups of young or not so young stand in the street, or go from door to door, singing carols and collecting for a charity .
There are also carol-singers in many major shopping streets and malls (аллеи) in the days before Christmas. Away from the street, almost all churches organize some form of Carol Service, which attracts many more than just regular worshipers. The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols from the chapel of King's College, Cambridge University, is one of the great musical events of the year for BBC television.
According to tradition, Christmas in England is a family event. Many people get up early, because during the night Father Christmas (also known as Santa Claus) has left gifts for children. In Britain, Father Christmas comes into the house through the chimney and leaves his little gifts in big socks ("Christmas stockings") which children hang up on Christmas Eve, beside the fire, at the end of the bed or around the tree.
For those who respect the traditional ritual of Christmas Day, after breakfast comes a morning service at church, after which it's back home to eat Christmas dinner or Christmas lunch, which is eaten around 1 p.m. The two essential elements of Christmas lunch are stuffed turkey and Christmas pudding (see above).  Christmas gifts are unwrapped either in the morning or after lunch. Formerly, in the 19th century, they were not opened until the following day, December 26, called Boxing Day -  the day when the boxes were opened.
Today, while many of the essential traditions are still very much alive and well (Christmas stockings, turkey, pudding, gifts), Christmas church services attract fewer people, and new traditions have grown up, like watching a movie with family, going to friends, or going for a drive or a walk in the park or the country.
