The thought crossed your mind that maybe you shouldn’t knock on his door and that you should instead make your entrance as quickly and as quietly as possible. Instead, you cracked open the door and slipped inside, closing it gently behind you with a soft ‘click’. Before you even finished closing the door Levi reached you, his hands trembling against your hips while his forehead came to rest against your shoulder. His breathing was shaky and obviously strained, and it didn’t take long for his grip on your waist to tighten.

“I— uh,” he stammered before managing to force out a barely audible apology. “Sorry for messaging you to come here.”

As if you were attempting to not spook a fawn you began to turn ever so slightly so that you could talk to Levi face-to-face. Unsurprisingly, his cheeks were fully flushed and he was having even more difficulties than usual maintaining eye contact with you. The poor demon was so insanely nervous that it made your heart clench a bit. Without really even thinking about it, one of your hands rose to tilt his face toward your own while your other interlocked fingers with one of the hands he had previously clamped onto your body.

thank you so much hun, I'm so glad you like it!!! and lmao I can't wait for the other parts either! originally I was going to sit down and crank out the next chapter these past few weeks, but I've been busy with work and training. this college student needs some cash stat

N E WAYS now that my training period is DONE I'll have about an hour or two every night of time to myself, so I'll be able to slowly and steadily work on this next update! the good news is that I'm already 2k words deep!

I see this to some extent! I am definitely the therapist friend and I am so incredibly honored that the people I care about trust me with matters important to them, but the food aspect doesn't really resonate. it makes sense with beel's description though haha

An amused puff of air escapes your nose as you glance up from your phone, making eye contact with the man sitting not two feet from you. "You know you can just ask me, right, Beel?"

His gaze drops from your own as he sheepishly fiddles with his phone on his lap. A mumbled response forces its way out, although it's a bit too quiet for you to catch.

"What did you say?" you prompt, fighting off an entertained grin.

Pink tints the apples of his cheeks and the tips of his ears. He turns his head to the side, looking away from you, and sighs you, "You didn't answer my question."

Oh, God he's absolutely adorable. Laughter bubbles up from your chest while you roll into Beel's side, clinging to his arm and resting your forehead against his sturdy shoulder. "Of course we can get something to eat, hun! What are you in the mood for?"

You can imagine the tiny pleased grin on his lips as he responds, "A lot."

"What do you mean?" You gape at Lucifer at the question, eyes wide with faux innocence. Thankfully, Mammon was seated next to you in a way that made it easy for you to block him from Lucifer's line of sight. The last thing the three of you need is for the weak link to blow your cover with his uncontrollable facial expressions.

Asmodeus leans forward in his seat, his chin propped up with his hand as he gave the eldest the most earnestly confused look you had ever seen. Hell, if you didn't know about what the three of your had gotten up to then you would've been none the wiser. "So sorry to disappoint you, Luci, but we haven't seen much of each other today at all, let alone had time to get up to something. It hurt being away from y/n that long."

Lucifer clearly wouldn't believe any of you no matter how good of an acting performance you all put on, but the three of you were capitalizing on the fact that he couldn't do anything without some semblance of proof.

"Your main character is crying in front of someone they don't want to cry in front of."

It was just a picture of your younger sibling riding a bike. That was all. Yet, that picture of your sibling looking at the camera with such a proud look on their face and a dorky grin gripped your heart in a way that you would never had expected. Sure, you had nights were you missed home, and there were times when you smiled at the thought of seeing your friends and family again.

It never struck you that you'd be missing out of milestones like this. It never once crossed your mind that you wouldn't be there when your sibling FINALLY learned how to ride a bike without training wheels, like they had been practicing so hard to do for the past few months. You wouldn't be there to hear them whooping with self-satisfied glee. So what else had you missed out on?

Salty tears dripped down your cheeks no matter how hard you tried to hold them back, and your chest shook as you fought back hiccups and sobs. Blindly, you rush to your feet, muttering out an incoherent apology before rushing out of the common room. The brothers at least have the decency to pretend that nothing was wrong, although you catch a concerned glance Asmodeus before you're out of the room.
