I've seen a few trans women and afab enbies lately have a rejection of feminism with this air of obviousness, as if it's a silly thing to think that they might be. And that's very understandable but also a massive problem, because friends the work is never done and it's certainly not done right now.

TERFism and girlbossing are not the only games in town. Or perhaps they are, idk, we kinda had something for a minute there, maybe, a little germ of a thing, but then you blink and it's lady Ghostbusters and Leaning In, and then it's adult human chickens and bathroom panics. Where did it go? Some of it was very silly, because many of us were basically newborn baby animals tottering around and mewling angrily at everything, but there was value there nevertheless.

Now it's just this memey sludge of general progressiveness that most people (people worth bothering with anyway) care about a little bit but not many care a lot about.

heads up: this games charity bundle was finally approved on itch.io! it opens this friday, april 12th, and will run for a week. all proceeds will go to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.

Watching some of the supplements to the pink flamingos criterion and this performer in the movie, Elizabeth Coffey was pre-op while filming, and if you’ve seen the movie you know she famously or infamously exposes herself on camera. Fast forward 50 years to a retrospective of John waters in 2022 in a Baltimore art museum, and I guess they’d made their bathrooms gender neutral somewhat recently and also named the bathrooms after John waters. So John invited Elizabeth Coffey who is also still alive and an advocate for trans seniors to come and be the first person to piss in their newly gender neutral bathrooms lol which seems like a very John waters thing to do lol
