A cold breeze ruffled the man's pink hair as he slowly kneeled down in front of the tombstone, placing a bouquet of white lilies in front of it. A quiet sigh left his lips while his fingertips lingered on the letters engraved in stone. "W.S". A small smile formed on his lips as he said "You should've listened to your older brother, you moron" He felt quilty. Not because of what happened on that day. But because he failed to be there when Wilbur needed him the most. He should've been there. He should've been the shoulder he could cry on. He should've been there to help him go through the hell he went through. But he wasn't. And when he finally showed up, it was already too late. He had already lost him. He failed as a big brother.

He didn't even notice when tears started dripping down his face. What he also didn't notice, was an almost transparent hand carefully levitating just above his shoulder. A slightly distorted figure of a tall boy, with curly hair and gentle eyes was standing right behind him. "I'm sorry" the silhouette tried to whisper, but all that could be heard was just a stronger breath of wind.

"Didn't know you could be emotional" a familiar voice sounded from above him. He didn't even flinch, instead he just looked up at the masked man sitting on an old oak tree his brother was buried under and said "Didn't know you were a stalker". The man chuckled and jumped down effortlessly, kneeling down right next to him. "I just enjoy spying on you particularly". Neither of them said anything else for the next few minutes that seemed like hours instead. Eventually, the pink haired man spoke softly:

"It's not fair. They're all too young for that. They're still kids, Dream."

"This world's never been fair and you should be the one to know it."

"Do you think we'll ever be able to fight on the same side?"

"With who?"

"You know who."

"...No, I don't think so."

Techno chuckled. That's right. In the end, it was never meant to be, right...?

"Let's go" Dream took off his mask and placed a hand on his shoulder. A cheerful smile appeared on his face; "The government won't overthrow itself."

The other man gave him a half smile as they both stood up, putting on their masks and hoods, walking into the wilderness.

"...It was never meant to be..."
