I personally wanna see less 'you are not a burden/it's not work to love you' and more 'you are worth the work it takes to love you.' I KNOW I'm a burden sometimes. that isn't such a terrible thing! humans are strong. we can carry burdens. and it is work for me to be there for my friends, but it's work I'm willing to do.
we need to acknowledge this because pretending love isn't work will never make people like me feel less guilty for accepting love. we need to talk about it so people don't feel bad for having boundaries and not always being up to do the work. we need to accept it so we can properly appreciate what others do for us and what we're doing for them.
yes it does take work to love you. but guess what? you still deserve love, and you deserve people who are willing to do the work to love you. it doesn't make you bad. all love take work. and everyone is worth it.

The pensive (😔) emoji encompasses such a wide range of emotions, but decidedly not included in that is 'pensive'.

trans women make cool experimental music. trans men make cool fanart of the most disgusting cartoon men i've ever seen. they're both essential to the LGBT community

I think it'd be fun if one of these days when the evil overlord type is like "I Need A Queen. To Rule With" one of the little henchmen is just like "um 😳 if I may, sir, I would like to volunteer 👉👈" and overlord is just like. Okay sure you're cute aha

if there was a show with a character who was both ace and gay you know for a fact that people would lose their absolute shit about how "homophobic" it is that they wouldn't make them have sex, even though gay relationships are so much more than just sex and saying otherwise actually reiterates homophobic sentiments exactly, when instead you could just be happy for the ace community for finally getting some representation that we've been starved of. but it was never about "fending off homophobia" or "protecting gays" it's just aphobia concealed behind the mask of activism.
aphobes don't even look at this post or I'll stomp you to death with my hooves.

Every time I see that post that’s something like “weird, but technically not a sin,” I think about being seven or eight years old and bawling to the priest that I had scaled the walls of the pantry in my home like a spider monkey in order to eat all of the cookies that my parents had naïvely hidden on the top shelf to keep me from getting into them and wailing that I was a hopeless criminal and hearing just dead silence on the other side of the little wall.

Maddie Ziegler didn’t even want to take the title role in “Music” at first, and she cried and had emotional breakdowns repeatedly when filming because she was afraid that Autistic people would think she was making fun of them.  Sia. Basically pressured her into taking the part and going through with it. So on top of everything else, the main actress was manipulated and exploited as well (especially since Maddie was 15 I think when they filmed it). Just gross all around.
